at the end of the day the war in ukraine is about whether or not people in donbass should have the right to choose what country the land they live on is apart of, and if your against this fundamental right to self determination because you have beef with russia, or you have said an undying oath of loyalty to the borders of the ukrainian state, or whatever, i believe you’re a lot less leftist then you think you are

this whole thing only started because the post coup government in ukraine attempted to put down anti coup uprisings in eastern ukraine with violence and the military and when anti coup protesters said fine we will be part of your anti democratic state we just want more autonomy for our regions ukraine bombed the shit out of it’s own cities and killed people. the origins of this war is in ukraine’s never ending genocidal violence, neglect and malice towards the whole donbass region and it’s population
