Personally my Don't Turn Left theory is that the village was originally a convoluted ass cult rp server that snowballed into genuinely worshipping and calling upon the King in Yellow because they wanted it to be "realistic" and they didn't think they could actually summon anything via fuckin,, Minecraft. But they did. And now it's one of the King's new ways to reach/influence people. Remnants of the server are in a few select copies of the game in the form of that weird, pre-loaded world. Because a video game is the PERFECT way to get curious, intelligent people to feel safe enough to seek him out. The only reason D3rlord3 went so far is because he thought this was a creepy custom map at worst. (Yeah he felt "compelled" at several points but he is a very level-headed person, I don't think he would have continued if he ever believed the game could seriously harm him)

Apparently a lot. Turns out during WW2, Michigan was known as the 'Arsenal of Democracy' due to how many weapons it would produce and provide to the allies. And with America's heavy ties to war and weapon production (nukes, etc.) It wouldnt be far fetched for Yoru to claim some ownership to the US ("I love America")
