Ok last question for a while. I'm planning on having one of my OCS wear her megastone inside of a slot in her pacemaker for cardiac Arrhythmia. My question is would this be a good idea? Would the mega stone provide additional power and what would be the risks associated with this idea?

Hey there @namelessbaron! Interesting question! I am going to preface this with if you want to continue with this idea, feel free. I'm just giving my two cents what I know from medical school about the feasibility and safety of this Because I will be 100% honest as soon as I read this my thought was "Oh this will genuinely be an agonizing death for and whatever doctor agreed to do this should lose their license and go to jail" Let's start off with the fact that pacemakers are implanted into people's bodies. Modern medicine has made a lot of advances, many of which involve implantable devices likes pacemakers to help restore function. The thing is, those devices HAVE to be kept sterile upon implantation. We're always watching people who get ports, hip replacements, pacemakers for any sign of infection because then it has to be taken out. With pacemakers having leads that feed directly into the heart in order to stimulate a normal cardiac rhythm, an infection there can be hard to contain as it would feed directly into the blood stream and easily become widespread. Someone who needs a pacemaker is already fragile in a medical sense so attempting to recover from a surgery and then suffering from sepsis would not be ideal. Mega Stones would not be something easily sterilizable because they're likely either somewhat porous or may have even the most miniscule of scratch where bacteria could hide out. And even if somehow you managed to get it in without an infection the stone itself would actually be a perfect breeding ground. One of the most classic ways we actually get bacterial infections of the heart is...through the bacteria that sit on our teeth. Literally anytime that person with a mega-pacemaker went to get their teeth cleaned they'd be at risk of dying to some plaque causing bacteria who managed to use the mega stone as a breeding ground And I'm assuming you'd want the mega stone to be at least partially visible which again would be monstrously easy way for the normal skin flora to get into the bloodstream and kill that person. Now of course we have antibiotics that can save a person from dying from septic shock and we can then replace the pacemaker but the point I'm trying to make is the mega stone would be taken out because no way is a surgeon doing that twice, nor is an infectious disease doctor going to greenlight continuous antibiotics to keep an infection at bay from something that's medically unnecessary (the key stone).

And if by chance they didn't die from an infection, the first time they use mega evolution would likely be their last. If someone has a pacemaker, they need it because the heart is not working well. While the heart is a powerful organ, it also can get taken out pretty easily. An unfortunately timed strike to the chest from a baseball can drop a person dead instantly. If someone gets electrocuted we have to keep them on a cardiac monitor for at least a day because they can just randomly get a cardiac arrhythmia and drop dead. So mega energy literally surging through the heart of someone who is already fragile from a medical perspective would likely end up frying their heart and they would drop dead. So a keystone in a pacemaker is not a safe idea by any means. If anything I imagine there's probably restrictions on the type of item and location a person with a cardiac arrythmia could carry and activate a keystone. Something like it has to be on a staff or cane or something that can be held out at arm's length, or if affixed to their person it can't be higher than the waist to make sure the energy being emitted doesn't have an easy path to the heart. Or perhaps they get fitted with a pacemaker that may be shielded from things like mega energy and gigantamax particles so that they're not malfunctioning when someone goes to watch a battle (but implanting the keystone would still be off the table)

Kicking off the new year with bringing back an old OC. (Re)Introducing Jabari Revere Now initially when I created Jabari I had designed him to be the Kalos Protagonist for XY. However, overtime I wasn't quite satisfied with that placement of him, hence why I put him on the backburner for a bit. Thankfully Legends Z-A provided an interesting set up that I think works a lot better. Hailing from Couriway Town, Jabari dreams of being a reporter for the Lumiose Press. Taking the train with only a luggage bag and dreams he aimed to convince the Lumiose press to take him on as an intern. A chance meeting with Taunie trying to shoot a video Hotel Z opened so many doors for him as for one...he actually didn't have a hotel booked so a free room at Hotel Z was perfect. He loves rollerskating in his free time and was saved by Tapu Fini in Alola when he was younger from drowning which led him to gain increased awareness of the spiritual world.

I know I know I'm late.

I have had a lot on plate so I haven't been uploading on my Tumblr acct for a while. But I'm back and I might have an idea for a new PokeOC.

She is very fascinated in the law but her heart condition prevented her from chasing her dreams of becoming a police officer, she competed in the Unova League challenge and only got 7 badges before dropping very soon after the Team Plasma Opelucid City Terrorist Attack. She would switch careers to being a lawyer and depart to Orre.

Her personality is that she is confident, observant, cunning and diligent and inquisitive, smart, defeatist, self loathing, sassy and sharp tongued, charismatic and caring to her Pokémon, she believes that the law is how true change is accomplished and that the rights and privileges of people are both decided and safe-guarded in the courtrooms. Jacqui is hedonistic in a fatalistic way and she often doesn't care about the long term or sometimes short term effects of her actions because what does it matter she's gonna die young anyway, unless the situation is seriously FUBAR.

Jacqui often gets incredibly tongue tied, nervous and shy yet incredibly submissive when she is the presence of a beautiful women whose smiles can leave her blushy, sweaty and gripping the hem of her skirt in a vice grip or fanning her hand frantically, she averts her eyes and smiles nervously, Vivian finds this behavior of hers to be adorable.
