Hi I'm Nailah! I'm a singer/songwriter and poet from NY and I make music that's a blend of alt pop, neo-soul, and alternative R&B! As a kid I was super introverted (still am tbh) and found solace in the world of music. I wrote my first song at 8. I was in youth musical theater programs growing up and thats where I discovered my passion for performing. I got my BA in Literary Arts from Brown University where I was part of an acapella group all 4 years. My music is inspired by my own life, focusing especially on the topics of relationships and self-image. My debut single "Bad Girl" earned a review that called me "remarkably bold and authentic" ;) I was the Musical Guest for Season 15 of The Fire This Time Festival!

can't believe the why do you stay video has officially been out for a month!!! thank you all so much for the love and support on this project 🤍 it took almost a decade to get here. i wrote why do you stay back in 2019, produced the demo in 2022, released the song in 2024, and now finally the video is out! art never expires!!
