Everyone knows me as ‘the daydreamer’. I space out, wherever I am. at school, at home, with friends, even at a party. I just zone out and don’t come back, and I daydream… some times or actually a lot of the time, I go so deep into the daydream that I’m completely oblivious to everything and everyone around me. It’s just like, my own atmosphere, my own daydream, and that’s all I’m in and all I’m thinking about. I think everyone at school has this thing about me that I’m so ‘stupid’ and brainless because I’m blonde and sometimes I just sit there daydreaming gormlessly. But the thing is, i’ve realised that daydreaming actually improves my thinking. Like, i’m in-depth and have so many thoughts and ideas about things. It’s actually proven by scientists aswell that daydreaming improves your thinking. I know this is a strange thing to talk about but i like sharing ideas on here because it allows me to let all my thoughts out, and i’ve come to the conclusion that I only started daydreaming so much since last year, before I started councilling. so I’m starting to wonder if my daydreams are like post-trauma from shit that’s happened to me and sort of a comfort zone for me to be in to just be alone and imagine things, without reality around me.. like a little box that I can comfort myself in due to all the stress and stuff i’ve gone through. but now I’m starting to wonder if it’s actually like an issue, like if there’s a name for someone who daydreams so much… hmm, thinking aloud again
