sana still couldn’t help but pout, watching her girlfriend complete focus divert from her to the kitten in her lap. yes, it was extremely adorable to see mina make faces at the kitten, or the way her voice changed when she talked to it. but what about her? did she not need her attention?

so, sana whined. it was the only way how to get mina’s attention. she had tried it before differently, like pestering her with kisses. but to her surprise, mina’s attention had still solely been on the small creature on her lap.

mina’s eyebrow shot up, turning her head to the side to see sana laying down on her side next to her with a pout on her face. she laughed. “what?”

the fact that mina hadn’t understood that she had missed her, that she had wanted her attention, only made her pout deeper. “i shouldn’t have gotten you her.”

“are you jealous?” mina’s head fell back into the pillow as she laughed, then holding the kitten to her head to cuddle into her. “but look how cute she is, how can you resist this?”

jihyo put her bag down on the coffee table with a sigh, making mina look up from the kitchen. “bad day?”

“just stressful,” jihyo answered, hand combing through her hair and putting it into a quick ponytail before she walked over to her, trying to peek over her shoulder. “what are you cooking?”

mina smiled as she moved out of the way, “what does it look like?”

jihyo looked at the pan and then back at her wife, a knowing smile on her face. “how did you know that i was having a bad day?”

mina shrugged, “could tell by your texts. figured you’d like it if i made you your favorite dish since i had the time today.” she then turned her head to look at her, her arm reaching out to hold onto her. “afterwards i can run you a nice bath,” her hand softly caressing the skin on her upper arm. “and after that you can relieve your stress by—“

jihyo wiggling her eyebrows made mina stop talking, erupting in laughter instead. “i was going to say we could game but whatever works for you,”

she looked at her sheepishly, “who said i was going to say something else?”

“because you,” mina started. “park jihyo,” she continued, “you have nothing else on your mind but that,”

the lack of someone next to her made dahyun jump out of bed. without waiting a second, she walked out of her bedroom and walked around the apartment to find the girl who she was looking for.

it didn’t take her a long time to find her, standing right in front of the fridge. dahyun bit her lip as she walked closer, a grin on her face when she noticed that the younger was completely focused on something inside of it. dahyun figured she was having a mental debate about what to take from the fridge.

when dahyun neared, she opened her arms and instantly pulled her body into her. her chin fitting right into place while she pressed light kisses all over her neck.

chaeyoung’s skin tingling underneath the touch as she tried to move away, giggling as she did so. her head moving out of reach while she held onto dahyun’s hands that locked around her. she looked to her side to see her proud smile, “what are you doing?”

“claiming my time,” dahyun mumbled into her neck, her lips once again on the skin. “missed you,”

“i’ve been gone for ten minutes,” chaeyoung responded softly, her cheeks heating up in a light red tone.

dahyun pouted, “i always miss you when you’re not near.”

chaeyoung rolled her eyes, not showing how shy she got at the simple words. instead, tried to pretend like she didn’t like it. “you’re so clingy.”

“oh, i think that’s mine,”

the stranger looked confused, “i’m pretty sure it’s mine?”

just before jihyo could speak again, the barista came with a second cup. “tall vanilla latte for m—“

“oh, that’s mine!” she quickly interrupted, taking the coffee from the girl and quickly taking her.

the stranger looked impressed, “same name, same order and same time in? that can’t be a coincidence.”

“babe, wake up,”

sana muttered something underneath her breath as answer, her head only digging further in her pillow.

“sana,” mina dragged off. she hd been trying to wake the older up for a few minutes now. mina figured she was just tired and playing around, like she always did. most of the time it ended with mina getting back in bed with her for five minutes— at least that’s what sana said, five minutes always turning into twenty either way.

when sana still didn’t reply, mina leaned down. ready to press some kisses all over her face, hoping to get a reaction out of her. “we have to— oh,” mina frowned, pulling back instantly when she felt the heat under her lips. the back of mina’s hand reached out to sana’s forehead which extremely hot and sweaty. “babe, you’re hot.”

sana snorted, “thank u,”

her voice was almost unrecognizable with how hoarse it was. mina sat down on the edge of the bed, “are you feeling okay?”

“yeah, yeah,” sana said slowly. “i’ll be up in a few minutes and then we can go,”

“are you sure?” sana’s eyes opened for the first time, sitting up quickly which she quickly realized was a mistake. her eyes winded, hand covering her mouth as she slowly tried to lay back down. “okay, no. you’re staying in bed.”

“no, no,” she answered. “i’m okay,”

“you look like you’re going to throw up if you move.”

“please, don’t say that,” sana shut her eyes tightly. “i don’t want to think about— oh, god,”

mina stood up quickly. “i’m gonna get you some water and medicine. do you need a bucket or do you you think— you know what, i’ll just get it. i’ll be right back.”

sana groaned, hand reaching out to keep the girl next to her. instantly missing the heat of mina’s body, “nooooo,”

“i’ll be back, i promise.” mina said quickly. “i’ll be your personal nurse today, how does that sound?”

a smile grew on sana’s face, she managed to wiggle her eyebrows. “oh, i love that. does it come with a cute outfit?”

“shut up,”

“i’m so e—“ just before dahyun could finish her sentence, she yelped. she was happily skipping back downstairs to the waiting room, jihyo walking next to her on the staircase when she felt her ankle twist. though, before she could fall, jihyo’s hands had already been wrapped around her. saving her from the hitting the ground.

with a pout, dahyun looked up to see jihyo’s concerned gaze. “you okay?”

“yeah,” dahyun tried to giggle through the pain, using jihyo’s support to stand upright again. trying hard not to wince with her foot back in place. these damn heels were going to kill her someday.

jihyo snorted, “you don’t look fine.”

“i’m okay, i promise unnie. just a bit clumsy.” dahyun muttered out, looking embarrassed. it wasn’t the first time she hurt herself like that, and definitely wouldn’t be the last.

“okay. walk down without holding onto me then.”

“uhm,” dahyun cleared her throat. slowly trying to leave the strong grasp jihyo had on her. wanted to proof to her girlfriend that she was indeed fine so she wouldn’t worry. just as she was about to stand up straight alone to take a step down, jihyo’s grip tightened.

“idiot! don’t actually do it.” jihyo said quickly. “this is what happens when you try to run down the stairs in heels.”

dahyun could only pout in return.

the look on dahyun’s face made jihyo’s stern gaze disappear. of course her first reaction was to be worried, dahyun had careless accidents like these all the time. jihyo was silently praying that it would never lead to a day were the accident would be worse, like breaking a bone. jihyo’s gaze softened, her other hand reaching out to the back of dahyun’s head, softly combing through her hair. “i know you’re excited, but you gotta slow down some time.”

“sorry, unnie, i—“

“hey, don’t apologize to me. apologize to yourself.” jihyo snorted. then took a look at her ankle before she spoke. “can you walk? or do you need me to lift you again because—“

“no!” dahyun quickly interrupted. cheeks heating up at the thought that she had to be carried again. “i’m fine, i can, i can walk. just don’t let go.”

just like that, the two girls walked slowly and carefully down the stairs and into their waiting room. dahyun couldn’t help but look sheepishly at jeongyeon when she was the first person she saw. the other girl was already sitting back on the couch, eyes instantly looking at the door when they walked in. jeongyeon’s reaction was different than jihyo’s though, her other girlfriend snorting but walked right over to her side. “let me guess, you fell?”

“no,” dahyun mumbled softly, leaning into jihyo’s side. “jihyo saved me.”

jihyo rolled her eyes. “she almost sprinted down the stairs. one of these days we won’t be around to catch her and she’ll be breaking a bone. i’m sure of it.”
