Ryland Grace is Sandy from Spongebob
Grace gets brought to thrums with Adrian and Rocky, not because he’s invited, but because they got him a Service Animal vest. No you don’t want to know what Rocky will be like without his emotional support. We don’t talk about that. He’s really strong for a guy his size. The human is safe omfg plz don’t pet him tho! He’s working!! Rocky gets jealous! You know what? Maybe polite society can take a few steps back for a couple years, we need a moment.
Project Hail Mary × Ghost Rider AU
I got this idea after it was announced that Ryan Gosling will be the new MCU Ghost Rider.
In this AU, Ryland Grace is a Rider.
Years before the events of Project Hail Mary, Ryland’s brother Colt (from Fall Guy) falls twelve stories during a stunt gone wrong and broke his back. Desperate to save him, Ryland makes a deal with the Devil in exchange for Colt living a normal life again.
Then Stratt comes to him with the mission to go into space.
Ryland refuses and runs.
Terrified and desperate, he tries to use his powers to escape but nothing happens. Before he can try again, Stratt’s people catch him. He fights and begs and asks no one why isn't it working?? (something Eva Stratt will forever question)
But just before he loses consciousness, Ryland sees someone standing in front of him.
The Devil who cursed him.
Except the Devil isn't there to collect his soul. He tells Ryland that this mission was never simply humanity's decision. They need him to go.
“Your gift will still work when you wake up. It will prevent you from dying. Consider it a gift; courtesy of Heaven and Hell. Your brothers will live as long as they desire, and dying only of old age.”
Ryland barely conscious, is confused by the words.
Your brothers.
He only knows about Colt. Colt is alive. Colt is safe. As far as Ryland and Colt know, their other brother, Courtland, died years ago.
Brothers?
Before Ryland can ask, the Devil gives him one final "reassurance":
“Many more Riders will come again after you.”
Then everything goes black.
Ryland wakes up on the Hail Mary, believing he volunteered to go to space.

I LOVE YOUR BRAIN I might’ve gotten carried away cuz the idea was just stuck with me the whole day but their dynamic would be too delicious. Both Simon and Colt would be impulsive and known to solve problems with their fists, Ryland is more inclined to mouth off or insult people (bullies mostly) so he’s prone to getting punched by the people he’s insulting and this is where his two guard dogs come in and beat the crap out of whoever was about to hurt him. Colt only accepting Simon because a) he’s thinks Simon is really cool (don’t tell him I said that ry i swear to god-) and b) he’s glad there’s now someone else there to protect his brother whenever he pisses bullies off because he does that ALOT and Colt is only one man

clg au where court still kills their father, but instead of going to jail, he and the twins go on the run and two months later are found by jackson healy who knows literally nothing about them but ends up taking them in and basically helping them get away with murder before the plot of the nice guys

Basically in a nutshell this storyline would be about the younger trio trying to win royalle’s games to obtain her ghost book as a prize, with the character focus being geared towards Penny and Benji, and their clashing views when it comes to treating ghost hunts.

rocky making fun of ryland for "crush on earth actor tom ryder, question?" because they both notice how he always tenses up and holds his breath whenever anything happens to ryder's characters, and he doesn't really do it for any other movies. ryland laughs and pushes rocky's ball, "just looks like it hurt, is all," but he really has no idea why his stomach swoops when ryder takes a punch or a fall or anything else crazy. maybe he was a big fan? he kinda doubts it, especially since from looking him up he kinda seems like a tool, and anyway, he knows logically it's not even ryder himself eating that damage, it'd be his stunt guy. but he knows that something in him just... really doesn't want the man on screen to get hurt. almost like he knows him, even like he loves him, like rocky jokes, but ryland's sure he'd remember if he was friends with a movie star.
maybe it'll come to him one of these days.
Vampire Starstruck AU thoughts and ideas:
This is all very loose and definitely could change or be adapted.
Tom is a vampire. Maybe centuries old. Maybe he was an actor in like the 40s-50s. Claims that was his grandfather or something when asked. Maybe he just kinda does that every few decades and then fakes his death and chills for a bit to avoid discovery. Could've done theatre over in Europe during the late 1800s. Lots of options.
Rules for vampires:
-Similar to Bram Stoker's Dracula, they can go out in daylight, but their abilities (whatever they may be) are significantly reduced in power. Less direct sunlight does help, but they are most powerful in darkness or at night.
-Abilities based to some degree on Twilight. All vampires tend to have similar abilities overall, but also have a singular ability that is specific to them. Tom could have some kind of empathic ability that he mostly uses just for being a better actor to help him be more in touch with the emotions he's trying to convey. Unsure about that yet.
-Vampires drink blood. They can substitute for animal blood if needed or wanted, but human is best. Eventually they do need to consume human blood regardless or risk going feral with bloodlust. How often they need to feed is dependent on how long they've been a vampire. Older vampires can go longer without any type of blood. Tom probably has some black market hook up for this or maybe he just breaks into a blood bank once in a while. Only hunts occasionally.
-Vampires can have human food and drinks. No drawbacks, but completely unnecessary. Alcohol and drugs do effect them, but only in obscene quantities because they metabolize it faster.
-Humans only become vampires by consuming a vampire's blood.
Colt is still Tom's stunt double.
Meets Ryland through Colt. Could be on set. Could be at a party. Tom becomes obsessed with him immediately. Colt doesn't like this. Says Tom looks at Ryland like "he wants to eat him" or something like that. Ryland shrugs it off.
Tom starts hanging around Ryland more often. At first not because he's romantically interested, but that changes over time. It's some weird predator instinct in him that makes him want to be close. Maybe does an itty bitty teeny tiny amount of stalking. Or maybe a lot of stalking.
Ryland does eventually find out Tom is a vampire. Might be a complete surprise. Maybe he suspected something was off.
Vampire Hunters:
-Court is a vampire hunter. Got picked up out of prison for it. If Simon were to also be in this AU he could also be a hunter. Get a love triangle going between Simon, Ryland and Tom. Have Simon be a neighbor or maybe a weekly meet up from a coffee shop encounter. Simon has a big huge crush on him, but keeps him at arms length.
-Whatever organization they work for has put together enough evidence to determine Tom is a vampire, but he's low priority since he doesn't kill people. Court and Simon disagree when they find out he's hanging around Ryland.
-No astrophage AU. Eva and Carl could be involved in the same organization that Court and Simon are in. If no Simon in this, maybe Carl gets assigned to keep tabs on Ryland after the organization finds out Tom is pursuing him and that can turn into a messy love triangle instead.
