Current Strongest Kin(s): Astro leaning, but none in particular

Current Pronouns: she/her (or šØš«/šØš«self if you're cool with that)
Intro Post!
Hi! I'm Sage/Star, but you can also call me Astro, Stolace, or C.A.R. I'm also fine with any nicknames you can come up with, as long as they're spinoffs of my other names!
⢠I'm an Alterhuman, and that's what this blog will be mainly focused on!
⢠My default pronouns are she/her, but can change depending on what kintype(s) Iām shifted as or connected to most.
⢠I'm 18 years old ā my birthday is August 21st
⢠Iām Autistic and attribute this as the main source of my alterhumanity. I also have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder).
⢠I am a therian, placekin, fictionkin, and alterhuman in general. Overall, I have 20+ kintypes which I'll list down below.
⢠I am the head of a plurality, but youāll mostly just see me around. Collectively, we use they/them pronouns. We are mixed-origin and pro-endo, but we aren't really concerned about our own origin or if we are disordered or not.
[ Kinlist, Identities, Tags, and BYF under the cut. ]

Before You Follow (BYF) :
⢠I am 18 now, but Iām fine to interact with anyone. I will read any profile I interact with to ensure theyāre comfortable first, but interaction is up to your discretion !
⢠I don't mind if 18+ blogs interact in a SFW manner, as long as your blog isn't entirely/mostly NSFW
⢠I am against gatekeeping and exclusion. This includes policing othersā labels and identities. Everyone has their own right to the way they define themselves!
I support every type of alterhuman identity. This includes holotheres, physical therians, lycan/zoanthropes, choicekin, factkin, factives, placekin, and the list goes on!
⢠I welcome and support every kind of system, plurality, and multiplicity, including endos. I am part of a mixed-origin plurality myself.
⢠I do not post or repost anything political on this blog, unless it would be in reference to relevant placekin topics. I do reblog things associated with human rights and environmental concerns.
⢠I don't participate in proship or radqueer discourse on this blog.
⢠I have no DNI! I canāt stop anyone from making their first interaction with me. If I strongly disagree with your views or you make me uncomfortable, Iāll just use the block button :P

I had a nice convo with my f/o earlier C: It was relaxing in the middle of a stressful day -w-
Heās a quest npc in the game he's from, so I mayyy get a little jealous when other people walk up to him. One person actually came into his room while we were talking TwTā
For those who have brought up their alter/nonhuman identity to a medical professional (of any kind), how did you go about it? I'm not really looking for a "what to expect" but more of how to word it maybe?
Although telling your experience would be nice too!
it's just that I plan to be in therapy for my disorders/symptoms (mainly bpd/npd and cptsd) and if I find a professional that'll take me serious and I'll see them regularly, I'd want my identity to be referred to correctly while in sessions (Just when talking to me. When it comes to documents and to other professionals, idrc how I'm labeled)
I came out to my therapist a while ago as a therian, later as fictionkin, and I was actually surprised at how supportive she was!
I'm so used to being anxious about what other people think about this part of me. I was struggling with that a lot, so it made me want to share it with her. She was totally supportive and I feel like it actually helped build more trust between us.
I canāt speak for every therapist, obviously, and every so often you could run into one who doesnāt understand or accept it like mine did. But generally, Iād say most mental health professionals want the best for their clients and treat them with respect and an open mind, especially when more complex issues like pds are in the mix.

Hereās an update of my fursuit so far! Her name is Precious and sheās a Dalmatian. Iām nearly done with her head, so sheāll get to debut at anthrocon on the 5th!
Some parts are still a work in progress like the nose, mouth, ears, and some of the fur length. Regardless, sheās my very first fursuit and Iām proud of how far sheās come C:
Also, my own independence day is on August 13th ^_^ This will be my peopleās 66th year of freedom from official colonial rule. Iām so proud of each and every one of them <3
Went to the zoo today and saw a lot of my theriotypes there C:
Iām a ruminantia cladotherian, so Iām lucky to be surrounded by lots of my kind when I go ^w^/
The particular place I went to has a drive through section that is full of mainly other ungulates (hooved animals), but I didnāt get to part today. I always feel like part of the herd when I do get to visit though C:
I see a lot of people who generally donāt like labels and enjoy having the freedom of self-expression without them. And thatās totally fine and actually awesome for them!! I think itās so important to be happy with the way you identify and experience yourself.
But on occasion, Iāll also see some people like this ridicule others for having more niche or specific labels. I get that theyāre coming from a place of their own discomfort. Itās totally fine if labels doesnāt work for some people, but there are still plenty of people who do enjoy or need these kinds of labels!
Iām someone who actually tends to enjoy having this high level of specificity for myself. Without labels, I feel like thereās parts of me that are unfinished, hiding, or ready to ārun awayā from me. I start to feel pretty insecure and ruminate on my identity for hours (which might be due, in part, to my bpd). All of this seems to be alleviated or avoided when I find the right words to describe myself though, allowing me to maintain a stable sense of identity. Sometimes that means having a niche label to call myself by ^^ā
At the end of the day, I think we should all let each other be at peace with ourselves in the ways that work best for us individually. Thereās no right or wrong way to identify, since everyoneās experience is personalized to themselves UuU

So I was scrolling and saw this image in an article about the European heat wave,
And was like, uh, are you missing something there, buddy? Like all that red in northern Africa? Because that's a lot of red.
And I was going to give them the benefit of doubt, since I don't know much about the climate in Northern Africa, aside from Morroco and Egypt, which seem like really hot places, so you know, maybe it's normal there?
But nope, that's not the case:
Africa is struggling with heat waves and many countries on the continent lack the resources rich economies have to deal with rising temperat
Some selections from the article:
"The region has been experiencing some of the most intense heat waves in recent years, but in many cases theyāve been under-reported due to misconceptions about Africansā ability to withstand them.
āAfrica is seen as a sunny and hot continent,ā said Amadou Thierno Gaye, a research scientist and professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. āPeople think we are used to heat, but we are having high temperatures for a longer duration. Nobody is used to this.ā
"The Sahel, for instance, has been heating at a faster pace than the global average despite being hot already. Burkina Faso and Mali, both in West Africaās Sahel, are among countries that are set to become almost uninhabitable by 2080, if the world continues on its current trajectory, a UK university study found. Its people are especially vulnerable due to shrinking resources, such as water, and poor amenities, and a dearth of trees and parks means there are few options for places to cool off."
Today I went to my friendās graduation party, and I havenāt seen him a while. It was nice to see him and my old teacher again ^_^ I found out my friend and I are going on vacation to the same place at the same time, so we might meet up there C:
Iām also going to my first furry convention on the 5th, so Iām super excited! I wonder if any of you would like to see my fursuit head when its finished in a few days? :3c
I found my old Stolace gear! I think it would be good to reconnect with myself C:
The truth is, Iāve been suppressing my older kintypes. I pushed that side of me away after I was going through some hard times and started to feel more feminine. But now that Iām in a better place and feel more happy with my gender identity, I see no reason why I shouldnāt let myself be me again ^_^
Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people
USA folks, that is a consistent temperature range hitting 113°. Death Valley temperatures. In Banda, it hovered between 116°-118° (47°-48° C) for a week straight.
This has been happening all month with little to no international media attention. Here are a few organizations you can check out for resources or to support:
I always get euphoric when my non-alterhuman friends call me by my kin names every once in a while. It feels like a nice treat because I canāt freely talk to them about this stuff TwTā
