You tried to stop him, but he put one of the hatchets to your neck.

The blade was close to your throat; you felt the cold metal.

He continued with the tape. When he finished, he moved to your hands.

"You're lucky. If I didn't like you, you'd be dead by now," he said without looking at you.

Suddenly, the front door creaked open.

"Daughter, I'm home!" It was your mother.

Before you could do anything, the man covered your mouth with his large hand.

"Be quiet." You were already tied up, an axe was at your neck, and a hand was over your mouth.

"Are you awake?" you heard him say as he came upstairs. He released you and approached the broken door.

Before you could process what was happening, the axe that had been stuck in your body flew out, striking your mother in the head.

You heard something heavy hit the floor.

The street was cold.

Toby approached a yellow car that looked to be in very bad condition.

He opened the passenger door and threw you in.
