Okay, so I have something to say about FTO and its chance to be an official WCA competition.

The octahedron has the same symmetry as a cube, this is because the cube and octahedron are duals of eachother. A face turning octahedron is just a corner turning cube, and a face turning cube is just a corner turning octahedron. An FTO is just a 3×3 version of a skewb.
