when you think about manifestation, especially when you’re going by the “i am the source of everything” mindset—you are giving your desire to yourself… if you’re the one making it happen… that means you already have your desire… because how would you give something you don’t have… which means that there is no seperation between you and what you want… so instead of “getting it”, why not just… realize you already fucking have it and stop playing hot potato with versions of yourself… just be the you that….. that has it…. instead of being the version that’s.. waiting to have it….
teeny tiny reminder that whenever you notice breadcrumbs of results, avoid overly fixating on them. i’m not saying you aren’t allowed to be happy, if anything, throw a party if you want and invite me!
though there is a fine line where people will focus so deep on their small or half results to the point where they’ll think: “okay, i got this half, now i’ll just wait for the rest.”
NO. now you’re assuming you don’t have the rest! be excited about the fact that you saw results in the 3D and go RUNNING back to the thought of “i already have it all.”
both can co-exist, but keep your dominant state as the fulfillment of your desire completely. afterall, that’s what made the small result even possible in the first place.
hi! hello! hey! hieyllo!
here’s pieces of advice in no particular order, packed into one post. some of you might’ve noticed a gap between this and my last post, and i just have one sentence to explain myself;
i manifested a shit ton of my desires. to keep it short (not really, LMFAO): desired face changes, body changes, literally a new fucking family and escaping my abusive household + my new family house is exactly as i drew it, money, changing specific things about my school, meeting desired people, helping my partner financially, physically and mentally, material items (skincare, makeup, merch, electric guitar and drums, new clothing, laptop and new headphones, an entire room with a WALK IN CLOSET.), exact scenarios playing out how i wanted and so much more! i’ve been too busy experiencing all that and forgot about this blog.
— tell people about your desires as if they’re happening and / or already happened. seriously, what’s stopping you from doing that? since it’s already real, already materialized, why don’t you tell people about it? it doesn’t have to be family or friends, it could be strangers. if you think about it, they’re technically “manifesting” for you.
— TALK TO YOURSELF. build up your self concept. whatever time you have alone, instead of scrolling through reels or tiktok, just talk to yourself in the perspective of the you who has gotten their desire. make whatever scenarios you want, aswell. act as if you’re talking to a friend; and if you can, talk to your actual friends about it. mutuals, online, irl, whoever wants to help you with your manifestations, speak to them as if you have your desire. imo, this is a way better option of feeling the wish fulfilled. the rant doesn’t even have to make sense or be perfect either.
— similar to the last one, act as you would if you had your desires. AND I KNOOOW! before you throw your rotten tomatoes, i know this tip has been said many times but the issue is many of you give up due to it feeling “fake” or that you’re just lying to yourself, that’s NORMAL. that does not mean you haven’t manifested anything. imagine it like this—you’ve spent almost your entire life in a pool (believing in the 3D and believing in the fact your desires haven’t manifested), and now, you’ve gotten out of the pool and stood on the concrete. you’re not immediately dry, your ego, your mind, everything has remnants of doubt left. the killer of any method and tip is perfection. you do not have to perfectly believe in it, just stay consistent. start basic and go deeper. if you had your SP, what date spots would you suggest to them? if you had the money, how would you deal with it responsibly beyond receiving it and buying what you want? if you had the desired body and face, what makeup style or fashion choices would suit you best?
— you do not have to ignore the 3D. realize that you can feel unpleasant, angry or upset at the 3D and simultaneously have your desire. every time you “waver” or have a reaction, that isn’t a failure. your mindset didn’t get shot in the heart. rather, you get two choices.. do you let this echo take control over you, or do you grab it by it’s throat and tell it you’re still the one in charge?
— “logic” is manifestation. “unrealistic” is manifestation. “linear thinking” is manifestation. that is all something you’ve conditioned yourself to believe and actively manifest, ask yourself, what makes your doubts true? when you feel that whisper, those cold fingers gripping onto your shoulders, you believe them without any proof. do you know what that’s called? MANIFESTATION. and if you have any physical proof beyond a “feeling” or “logic”, then THAT STILL DOESNT MEAN JACK SHIT. you’re still in control. you can still manifest. you are a limitless being limiting yourself.
— literally interrupt your doubts. for me, i just scream “CANCEL TALK!” like twice or thrice and go on with my day.
that’s all that comes to mind, though i swear i had more. ANYWAYS!!! if the post is wonky, be it wording or tags or whatever the fuck, don’t mind it. i’m on web because i have the app deleted and i can’t be arsed to redownload..
while we’re on that, last tip, STOP OVERCONSUMING EVERYTHING. manifestation / shifting is so unbelievably complex and mysterious which guarentees everyone to have a different view, opinion, perspective. that’s natural. and though everyone’s way of manifesting and shifting is valid, you are harming yourself by consuming every single contradicting view. it ends up in confusing, inconsistency, lack of critical thinking and lack of YOU thinking for YOURSELF. you don’t explode if you scroll past a video regurgitating the same views you’ve heard before, it just ends up in you saying “oh, makes sense! i’ll apply this!” then trying it, letting the 3D / ego / doubts have power over you OR forgetting about it until the cycle repeats. BREAK THE CYCLE.
anyways, time for me to disappear again and enjoy my desires until i miss you guys.. mmmwah mwah !
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ *:・゚✧
experimentation and curiosity is dead and this community has killed it.
though, loablr and shiftblr feels less like a community and more like someone handed us a half-ripped newspaper from ten years ago and we’ve all been taking turns photocopying it ever since.
the second someone offers advice that isn’t wrapped in ten layers of sugar and glitter, or is SLIGHTLY different, suddenly everybody starts chanting “limiting beliefs!”
there is no room for individuality on this app.
i get that this whole practice is made up on just assume and persist, but jesus fucking christ. for people who constantly talk about infinite possibilities, a shocking amount of you refuse to consider any possibility outside of what you’ve already decided is true and then complain that you're not getting ANY results…
don’t you think it’s time to look a little inwards?
look into why you get angry the second you encounter information that isn't the same recycled shit you rely on big bloggers to spoonfeed you? i’ll help you answer!
IT’S BECAUSE YOU’VE EFFECTIVELY MADE YOURSELF IMPOSSIBLE TO LEARN ANYTHING NEW.
you are not interesting in learning nor understanding this practice, reading the history behind it, the different forms of it, putting in some form of effort. dare i say, ANY EFFORT AT ALL.
you just want the easiest answer, the smoothest route yet complain that you even have to persist in getting it.
so what are you really scrolling on here for? the aesthetics? the THOUGHT of getting what you want because it’s somehow safer than actually experiencing your desires? i mean, no judgement, but if you’re comfortable with your life staying unmanifested in your head, atleast tell yourself that. but alas, i’ll let you continue your scrolling!

THE EXTENDED HISTORY OF MANIFESTATION, REALITY SHIFTING, ASTRAL PROJECTION, SPIRITUALITY, ETC.
no tldrs, no summaries, sit the fuck down and read. or complain that your mindset is crap, and for some reason, you just can’t get yourself to believe in this… your choice.
most people, specifically antis, believe that manifestation is something that began out of nowhere. a tiktok trend, they say. something formed by teenagers who had nothing else to do during quarantine. and yet, those very people fail to see that this is simply wrong.
just because they tried once or twice in 2020 doesn’t erase the history they refuse to acknowledge.
for centuries, people have believed that mind and spirit can shape reality.
anthropologists note that magic and manifesting were not considered “primitive” by all; quote, “even reasonable, lucid, and intellectually sophisticated people, including great philosophers and artists of the past, dabbled in magic”.
the idea that consciousness can alter the world / your reality or travel beyond it is ancient.
one scientist summarizes, “the idea that humans can leave their bodies during dream states is ancient. countless people, from new agers to shamans around the world, believe that it is possible to commune with cosmic intelligence.”
nearly every society has had rituals or teachings for realizing desires or journeying to other realms whether through prayer, spell, trance, meditation, or other techniques.
so, enough with the stalling. let’s begin with our history lesson! take notes, pens in hand.
puts on serious glasses…
animism and shamanic traditions.
in many indigenous cultures, the shaman or medicine person was the spiritual specialist.
they would enter trances or dreams to negotiate with spirits, heal the sick, or control nature. our prime example is “american indian and first nations” traditions, which include the “vision quest” and the medicine man, whom is known as a a traditional healer and spiritual leader. ethnographies note that using drumming, shamans could enter trances, combat evil spirits and disease, communicate with ancestors, prevent famine, and control weather (rain dances). by ritual they aimed to manifest desired outcomes: good harvests, healing, luck, etc.
similar roles existed in african, siberian, oceanic, and amazonian tribes. among the waiwai people of the amazon, a shaman (yaskomo) is believed to perform soul-flights: flying to the sky to consult moon spirits, entering caves to ask animal spirits for game, or diving into rivers for help.
in Inuit / arctic belief, a healer (angakkuq) could journey to mythic realms (the north star, the underworld, etc.) to heal the community.
these accounts show that even hunter-gatherers conceived of traveling to their desired worlds and other worlds in visions to achieve practical goals.
ancient egypt and mesopotamia: magic and the afterlife.
now we move towards ancient egypt (c. 3000–1000 BCE), religion was suffused with magical spells for controlling fate.
pharaohs and nobles buried books of the dead—collections of incantations—with the deceased. these texts were meant to manifest a safe afterlife, the spirit (“ka” and “ba”) had to speak the right words to pass trials. one guidebook states that after death “the deceased… travels across the sky before judgement… to progress through the complex challenges in these stages, the dead must speak the right names and spells at the right time and respond with the right answers to the gods’ questions.” egyptians literally carried prayer-scrolls inscribed with spells to make the underworld obedient.
sources are a fragment of an “egyptian book of the dead” (c. 1075–945 BCE). such papyri functioned as “guidebooks for the dead,” containing magical formulas to control reality in the afterlife. the hieroglyphs include prayers to deities like osiris and re, and instructions (for instance, naming the parts of a door before passing it) to ensure safe passage. ancient egyptian religion blended spirituality with practical “manifestation”. reciting or inscribing the correct words, one aimed to bring about life after death. similarly, the mesopotamians kept extensive collections of omens and incantations (e.g. enûma anu enlil) hoping to foresee or shape events.
ancient india: vedas, mantras, and yoga siddhis.
indian traditions are rich in the idea that mind and intention shape destiny. thank them for being the basic foundation of nonduality! vedic texts (1500–500 BCE) already treat thought and word as powerful. the rigveda (c. 1500 BCE) contains hymns implying that one’s destiny is influenced by action and intention. the sanskrit concept sankalpa (resolution or intent) is used in rituals to set a firm purpose.
medieval theologians observe that hindu priests would invoke deities to bring worldly blessings, as one modern scholar notes: “if you want money, think of lakṣmī” (goddess of wealth); “if you want good luck, be sure to participate in ganesh puja”.
these are explicit instructions to manifest prosperity by mental focus and prayer.
moreover, Indian yogic tradition identifies advanced mental powers (siddhis). patanjali’s yoga sutras (c. 400 CE) describe supernormal abilities gained through meditation ranging from telepathy to levitation. they continue to list powers like “becoming manifold, disappearing, walking on water, flying” and perceiving past lives.
commentators (e.g. v. taimni) stress these siddhis have indeed “been exercised by people in practically all ages”. classical Indian texts assert that deep samādhi (meditative absorption) can let one bend nature, effectively manifesting miracles.
in hinduism, beyond the vedas, the upanishads and bhagavad gītā teach that the ultimate reality is pure consciousness and that aligning one’s will with that reality yields results.
saints like sri ramakrishna (1836–1886) and paramahansa yogananda (1893–1952) described yogic feats. yogananda, for instance, claimed to have witnessed his guru, swami pranabananda, perform a miracle via astral projection—a modern testimony that yogic power can transcend space.
buddhism too speaks of psychic faculties (abhinñā) attainable through deep meditation. The pāli canon (buddha’s discourses) lists “six superknowledges,” including mind-reading, past-life recall, and flying. many later buddhist adepts, especially in tibet and japan, were said to master such powers.
stories of milarepa (11th c. tibetan yogi) tell of him flying through the air or calling storms. and in japan, esoteric buddhist monks (shugendō practitioners) believed that austerities on mountains enabled them to control the elements.
chinese taoism and alchemy.
from the han dynasty on, taoist alchemists sought immortality by purifying body and spirit. the cantong qi (4th century) describes refining the “three treasures”, jing, qi, shen, to align the human microcosm with the universe. practitioners ingested elixirs made of refined cinnabar (mercury sulfide) or gold, believing this would grant eternal life. they treated the body as a laboratory: by internal visualization and herbal concoctions, they aimed to transform physical matter and one’s fate. classical taoism distinguishes the philosophical path (daojia) from the popular, magical side (daojiao) focused on these alchemical “life-force” techniques.
in later centuries, chinese qigong masters also demonstrated feats like levitation or mind-over-matter, though often kept secret. modern taoists note that these siddhis were not ends in themselves but byproducts of spiritual discipline.
nevertheless, extremely cool.
ancient greece and rome: hermeticism and magical papyri
In the greco-roman world, philosophical and magical traditions centered on the idea that gods and spirits could be petitioned or harnessed to affect reality.
from about… say, 100 BCE to 400 CE, egypt’s greek magical papyri offered spells and rituals for every purpose. love, wealth, healing, protection, you name it. a quote from a historian, “these papyri were used by magicians, priests, [and] mystics for the direct purpose of influencing reality, and therefore manifesting”.
the orphic and hermetic writings contained invocations; each orphic hymn ends with an appeal meant to draw down divine power, akin to a prayer of manifestation.
devotees would even bury lead tablets inscribed with wishes, a technique mirroring today’s vision boards or scripting, to bring their desires to life.
mediterranean philosophy also flirted with these ideas. ouuuu!!!
neoplatonism (3rd–5th centuries CE) taught that “the one” or “the good” could be called upon through ritual, thus “working with the gods and goddesses”. whether zeus, asclepius or hermes, was seen as a form of manifesting reality by aligning with higher powers. some emperors and elites even employed personal “incantation masters.”
in rome, pliny the elder (1st century CE) records magical cures and spells. more concretely, people paid vendors for love potions or curses in the colosseum.
christianity and medieval europe.
believe it or not, medieval christian tradition also contains many accounts of miracles and mystical powers.
saints and holy people were routinely attributed abilities that defy physical laws, my favorite example being st. joseph of cupertino (1603–1663), a simple italian franciscan friar became famous for levitating during prayer. reports say joseph would “rise and float” during mass so dramatically that crowds claimed he was “the man who could fly.” he was eventually canonized as a saint, and even today is venerated as the patron of astronauts and aviation for this very reason.
other medieval miracles include bilocation (being seen in two places at once.. sound familiar?), prophecy or instant healing at shrines. the kabbalistic tradition (judaism) and the christian hermetic / neoplatonic currents also taught that pure thought and prayer could influence reality.
renaissance occultists like paracelsus (1493–1541) invoked astrological and angelic forces in medicine and alchemy.
giordano bruno (1548–1600) famously claimed a living universe in which mind and matter interpenetrate. john dee (1527–1608), advisor to queen elizabeth I, spent years in occult study and “angel magic,” believing he could make contact with higher intelligences.
renaissance to modern occult and new thought.
the 16th–19th centuries saw a renewed focus on the mind’s power in the west as renaissance magicians like cornelius agrippa (1486–1535) wrote grimoires and spellbooks and revived hermetic ideas.
the protestant mystics (jacob boehme, etc.) and rosicrucians spoke of an inner christ consciousness capable of miracles, which was the same idea neville goddard had.
concurrent with occultism was the new thought movement (late 1800s USA), i have an entire post on this! but in short, this directly anticipated today’s “law of attraction”.
20th century, spiritualism and self help extended these ideas. famous mind-power teachers (napoleon hill, norman vincent peale, now rhonda byrne’s “the secret”) popularized the notion that thinking certain thoughts or feeling certain ways will attract matching outcomes.
today, manifesting is mainstream in some circles.
the secret (2006) sold over 30 million copies and celebrities like oprah winfrey have endorsed it.
searches for “manifesting” exploded by 600% during the 2020 pandemic. which is where the argument that this, something that was once esoteric is now often packaged as “false”.
though the history i gave isn’t quite similar to current manifestation, or may not align with what you believe—realize it is all the same.
people have belief in something —> they experience it.
that’s it.
class dismissed!
hi, so the reason i’m not posting much anymore is because the world is on fucking fire.
and i genuinely do not care what anyone chooses to do in their free time, but i’m personally not interested in pretending everything is fine while there are wars, genocides, child sex trafficking rings, pedophilia, exploitation, mass displacement, political corruption, billionaires hoarding more wealth than entire countries, workers being crushed under systems that don’t care if they live or die, corporations poisoning the planet for profit, human rights being stripped away, and people treating suffering like it’s just another headline to scroll past.
speak about it. do something. act.
i am fifteen years old and i live nowhere near america, infact, i’m in the midst of the war and bombings yet i still have half a braincell to realize that you do not require anything to speak.
and yes, before anyone starts, you can absolutely focus on getting your sp, manifesting money, shifting realities, scripting your dream life, or whatever else you want AND still care about the world around you. these things are not mutually exclusive. having desires does not require ignorance.
silence is violence.
make posts. donate if you can. educate yourself. educate others. repost videos. volunteer. organize. call things out. try to manifest change. literally ANYTHING is better than shrugging your shoulders and deciding none of it is your problem.
also i don’t give a rats ASS if speaking up “ruins your blog aesthetic.” i do not care if it’s inconvenient. i do not care if it’s less fun than talking about your desired person or your desired reality. if your excuse is that you’re too lazy, too comfortable, or simply can’t be arsed to care while people are actively suffering, realize YOU are helping maintain the exact conditions you’re refusing to acknowledge.
if that bothers you, if being asked to care about other human beings is somehow offensive, then you are more than welcome to hug that block button on my account as tightly as your heart desires.

nothing pisses me off more than shifters, manifestors, or anyone spiritual using chatgpt to guide their entire journey as if chatgpt wouldn’t immediately start treating their practices like delusions AND outright calling it fake the second they stopped wording things in a very specific, careful way. be so serious for a second. it’s not even genuinely agreeing with you, it’s just mirroring your language and trying not to escalate or invalidate you. it feels less like talking to some all-knowing source and more like talking to an anti that pities you and keeps going “well… if that helps you feel better :)”
HOW THE KING OF POP MANIFESTED HIS FAME.
“I look in the mirror, and I would say over and over to myself… I’d take a deep breath, put my feet together, raise myself erect, strong like a… a hero warrior, and I’d say, ‘Biggest-selling album of all time, greatest seller,’ over and over to my mind, and look in my eyes. And I’d mean it… I wouldn’t accept anything unless this was exactly what I wanted. My attitude was: I want the biggest-selling album of all times, to break records, to do phenomenal work.” — Michael Jackson.
there’s something almost unsettling about how precise that is. is it just me, or?
not dreamy, not vague, not “i hope this works out.”
it’s controlled.
a young Michael Jackson standing in front of a mirror, not just seeing himself, but rehearsing a future until it stopped feeling like a fantasy and started feeling like fact.
in 1979, at just 21, came alive MJ’s manifesto. he wrote about becoming something “magic,” about shedding the limits people had already placed on him and stepping into a version of himself that didn’t exist yet, at least not in the world everyone else could see. but to him, it already did.
and he didn’t treat it like a cute idea, rather obsessed over it, repeated it until it burned into him, writing “100 million” on mirrors so that every glance forced him to face the standard he set for himself.
with persistence like that, reality caught up.
“Thriller” didn’t just succeed, everyone knows that.. it rewrote what success even looked like. it became the best-selling album of all time, moving tens of millions of copies globally, breaking records that, decades later, are still standing.
a direct echo of something he had already decided years before.
MJ would also lie by the pool in silence, letting ideas come to him, describing it almost like tuning into something beyond himself. he spoke about asking god for inspiration, about feeling like ideas were moving through him, and if he didn’t claim them, someone else would. he even named Prince as someone he felt in quiet competition with, like creativity itself was a current you had to catch before it passed you by.
call it imagination, call it discipline, he called it magic.
he didn’t wait to believe it after it happened.
he believed it until it had no choice but to happen !!
and if MJ can do it, so can you. cue the receipts!
a personal unconscious manifestation success story . .
for some context, this isn’t something that happened directly to me, but rather a story i heard from a relative.
it was my distant cousin’s first pregnancy. early on, during a routine checkup, her doctor told her she had lost the baby—a miscarriage. just like that. no build-up, no warning. one sentence that completely shattered everything; she was devastated. completely. as anyone would be! but in the middle of all of that, she made a quiet, stubborn decision:
she refused to accept it.
and the thing is, she doesn’t know anything about manifestation. she’s not into it, she’s never studied it, she’s never sat there repeating affirmations or trying methods. there was no technique behind this. just a decision. hence why, “unconscious manifestation”. she didn’t sit there wording things perfectly or worrying about her mindset. she just held onto one thing, almost instinctively.
her baby was still hers.
so, she kept living as if everything was fine.
as if her baby was still there.
as if that doctor’s words didn’t get the final say.
this wasn’t some calm, perfect process either. she cried, she doubted, she had moments where it all hit her again.
she’s human.
but even through all of that, she didn’t let go of that inner stance. and then.. time passed, and slowly, she started noticing things. small signs. changes. feelings that didn’t match what she had been told.
when she went back for another checkup, the doctor looked at her and told her the baby was alive.
to this day, she still holds onto it as one of the most powerful, unreal experiences of her life.
his birth went smoothly, and even now, he’s one of the healthiest, most energetic little gremlins i know !!! 🥹🥹

hii niko. first time talking here but i've followed ur blog for a while. i'm not entirely sure if you like results in your asks (ur ask guide didnt say anything about that) but hey i hope u do lol so ive known about loa for a while now, but lately ive not been using it and just sort of wallowing in negative thoughts (super bad i knoww) but a couple days ago smth really bad happened, and my mum found out like part of it. and i got in so much trouble (brown muslim mum bro shes so strict) and i genuinely thought i was cooked, i was gonna get my stuff taken and i was going to be grounded. i got yelled at a little, (told me to find god 💔💔 smb let her know im bi bro) and then she went to the gym. i ws freaking out. like i thought i ws so so so cooked. and then i thought of loa. i came on tumblr, and i was desperately going through your posts, and other bloggers posts. and then i stopped. because i was like wtf am i doing. i know this already. whatever i assume will be true. im not gonna get any other answer from anyone. so i stopped doing that, and i went on yt and looped a couple 'problem solver' and 'lucky/my favour' subs, and affirmed that its going to be fine and im not in any trouble. now i didnt believe this AT ALL i was freaking out inside, and at the same time i was deleting shi off my phone in case my mum would take it away. so she comes home. doesnt say anything to me. small win, i think. im still terrified. i avoid her by sleeping. while im sleeping i think of a plan to avoid everything bad. high risk, high reward. so many things that could go wrong, things that i can control somewhat, and a big thing that i cannot, which concerns my father. but i say wtv, i can do this, my reality and whatnot. and guess what. it worked out. every thing worked out. and the big thing w my father, didnt happen. didnt occur. and before, it was a confirmation that it was supposed to happen but it didnt. so im in no trouble at all, and my parents are actually happy with me ??? im actually really glad this happened bc its like a wake up call for me + a reminder that loa in fact does work and is real (bc i have doubts like any other human, i just shouldnt entertain them) this isnt super big, but im trying to value my 'smaller' manifestations more, bc most of the time when i manifest stuff, i end up thinking that it was js a coincidnce BUT ITS NOT. I MADE THAT HAPPEN. also in the few days since this happened, my skins cleared up and im more photogenic. so yay anyway im keeping this energy to better my life and actively use loa and yeah forget it all, im a master shifter and manifestor and i will be seeing my husband soon thank yew.
oh em gee.. sweetheart, i am SO proud of you. SO SO PROUD!! not just for “getting out of trouble” (i can imagine your fear because holy fuck if my muslim family found this blog, i’d shit my pants.) but for catching yourself mid doubt and still moving like it was handled, for not letting yourself be immersed in posts on tumblr when the power lies within YOU. and don’t even DARE try to downplay it, the foundation of our manifestation & shifting journeys are built on these small moments. <3
keep that energy, cuz you earned it bby!!
manifested this little guy by simply thinking about wanting a yellow cat and saving a few images of them on pinterest
he’s fat, dumb and oddly purrfect (knee slap). just came into my house and wouldn’t leave, but the even more shocking part is that my family actually let him stay! usually they hate strays, but not this one, so that’s a win.
he is here to tell you that manifestation is easier than you think because i didn’t spend hours affirming, spiraling or doing anything, really. just had a “knowing” feeling that it was already done, that’s it. don’t overcomplicate all this. 👀
though, a little tip i can give is to take action once you assume “it is already done.” or start “living in the end.”
basically, in my case, i researched the cat breeds i wanted; watched videos on how certain cats act and which ones would be best, did everything someone who plans on getting a cat would do. same way, this can apply to any desire! plan as if it’s guarenteed, because it is. wink wink!!
lowk…. might name him neville…
which fear will haunt you more?
there’s two of them, to be exact.
the first one is the temporary fear, usually before or in the midst of the moment.
that moment where your desire and DR get a little too close, a little too possible, and suddenly your chest tightens instead of relaxing.
where you realize everything you’ve wanted is actually happening, and you don’t know how to hold it yet—
or the fear of never getting it at all?
because one of those is a passing wave.
awkward,
intense,
unfamiliar,
but temporary.
something your body learns to adjust to.
the other may linger. sitting in the background of your life, it shows up in your “what ifs,” in your regrets, in the moments where you wonder how different things could’ve been if you had just let yourself step forward.
realize that fear doesn’t always mean “stop.” it can also means “this is new.” and new doesn’t equal wrong.
new just means you’re crossing into something your past self hasn’t lived yet.
so, the next time that fear hits; tugging you by your sleeves, let it. sit with it, and ask yourself..
which fear do i actually want to live with?
NEW THOUGHT MOVEMENT: WHAT IS IT?
your daily dose of realizing shifting and manifestation exists—no, HAS existed for years beyond the apps on your phone. real communities, real life. the internet didn’t invent wanting consciousness to do something powerful, it just made it easier to post about in lowercase.
in short; a long, valuable history lesson you may actually enjoy!
let’s reel back to the 19th century, around… 1830 to 1850’s. to remind you how long ago this was, it’s around 195 years ago because people act like anything spiritual, mental, or consciousness based must be a brand new tumblr invention from yesterday.
babe, no. just no! the receipts are older than your great great grandma’s eyebrows. now hold my hand and open your damn ears.
new thought was a 19th century mind healing movement built on the idea that consciousness is not just private inner weather,
but an active force in health, character, and circumstance.
it’s roots mostly trace to dissatisfaction with hard scientific empiricism, reactions against older religious skepticism,
and influences like romanticism, platonism, transcendentalism, and hindu thought; that alone should tell you something.
none of this was born from nothing.
not manifestation, not shifting, not the idea that mind and reality can actually interact in ways that aren’t neat or tidy or convenient for the average skeptic.
and to think that this is just one group of people, what about the rest of the world?
the various different cultures, languages, people?
phineas p. quimby is usually named as the earliest major seed of it because he treated illness as a matter of mind and used mesmerism as part of healing.
by the early 20th century, the international new thought alliance was describing the movement in terms of the “divinity of man” and the “creative power of constructive thinking”—sounds really fuckin’ cool, if you ask me!
and new thought groups commonly taught affirmations, healing prayer, and the idea that what you desire follows thinking.
just… thinking.
sound familiar to you? like the grandparent version of a lot of what people now call law of assumption, manifestation, subconscious work, and reality shifting.
its credibility is strongest as a historical and spiritual tradition with huge influence on self help, positive thinking culture, and later manifestation language itself! the movement also has a built in testimony culture.
services often include healing stories and prayer for sick people,
and unity still teaches affirmative prayer in that same spirit.
which is important because testimony culture is basically the backbone of these kinds of movements..
now, even if you don’t see them saying things such as “law of assumption” “manifestation” “reality shifting”—
they didn’t NEED certain labels to be talking about the same kind of inner causation.
it’s same skeleton, new outfit. the name can change but the mechanism can still be old as dirt.
now, this post would be no good if we didn’t actually NAME people connected to this movement!
this group kept passing this movement around, making it useful enough that other people wanted in.
people see results, they tell others, others test it, and the ideas keep moving through human mouths and human notebooks and human lives. THAT is how it stays alive.
prentice mulford.
mulford was one of the early weird geniuses of new thought, born in sag harbor, long island, in 1834. his life was.. anything but polished or straight-laced, really.
a journalist, philosopher, and popular independent new thought writer who worked many jobs!
seaman, ship’s cook, whalerman, gold prospector, teacher, and later a journalist, which gives you the sense that he came into metaphysics by living hard, not by sitting in a velvet chair.
his big importance is that he helped lay down the “thought is a force” language that later became standard new thought grammar.
modern summaries of his work point to “your forces and how to use them” as a foundational set of essays for ideas like the law of attraction and the power of thought to shape both inner life and outer conditions.
he’s also the source of one of the movement’s most famous slogans, “thoughts are things”. he treated thought as something with currents, motion, and consequence,
not as a private little ghost in the skull.
william walker atkinson.
atkinson was a much larger machine than a single label can hold: attorney, publisher, author, occultist, hypnotist, and one of the major early popularizers of new thought.
he was born in baltimore in 1862 and died in 1932, and he is also famous for writing under multiple names, including theron q. dumont and yogi ramacharaka, which makes him feel like a one-man publishing empire.
his books pushed the thought vibration angle hard,
especially “thought vibration or the law of attraction in the thought world”,
and “thought-force in business and everyday life.”
in his orbit, thought is anything but a mood; it is an attractor.
like, y’know, LOA..
he preached the idea that a person’s mental tone pulls in matching conditions, matching people, matching outcomes.
like, y’know, manifestation…….
the point of atkinson is not that he invented all of this, but that he packaged it with relentless clarity and spread it everywhere.
he helped turn new thought from a loose spiritual current into something with repeatable language, practical self development steps, and enough punch to travel into later self help and manifestation culture!
emma curtis hopkins.
a central hidden pillar of the whole movement.
born in 1849 in killingly, connecticut, sources call her the “mother of new thought” or the “teacher of teachers,” because her students went on to found or shape major branches of the movement.
that list is.. quite strong.
charles and myrtle fillmore of unity,
ernest holmes of religious science,
and h. emilie cady, whose writings became core unity teaching.
hopkins was training the people who would build institutions.
her life is also a reminder that new thought was deeply shaped by women, especially women teaching other women how to claim spiritual authority directly instead of waiting for permission.
this didn’t just become “valid” when it got a guy in a tie attached to it, absolutely fucking not.
women were shaping this too,
loudly and intelligently.
thomas troward.
the one i like to call the sober, judge-like one in the bunch,
which is part of why people kept taking him seriously.
you know the shtick by now, born in 1834 and trained as a divisional judge in british india, he retired from the judiciary in 1896 and then applied legal reasoning to metaphysical questions about cause, effect, mind, and reality.
his best-known work, “the edinburgh lectures on mental science”, began as lectures and was later published in 1909; the project gutenberg edition shows that his purpose was to explain the natural principles governing the relation between mental action and material conditions.
that book is basically troward’s engine room.
spirit and matter,
subjective and objective mind,
intuition,
healing,
will,
and the law of growth.
he argues with the calm intensity of a man writing a verdict on reality itself.
troward matters because he gave new thought a more structured, disciplined, almost juridical vocabulary. instead of just “think positive,” he’s closer to “here’s the mechanism by which mind and condition are linked.” that gave later teachers a sturdier bridge between mystical intuition and practical application. he’s lowk my fav idk 👀
h. emilie cady.
cady was born harriet emilie cady in 1848 and lived until 1941, one of the cleanest examples of new thought becoming sticky enough to last.
she was a homeopathic physician and new thought writer whose “lessons in truth” became a core unity text and has sold over a million copies; unity still treats it as foundational. she didn’t write like a distant philosopher, she wrote like someone trying to hand readers a usable inner toolkit. her work came into unity partly through real human contact: she sent a pamphlet, “finding the christ in ourselves” (which, imo, sounds REALLY familiar to neville goddard’s foundational belief that our imagination is like christ.)
unsolicited to charles and myrtle fillmore, and it was published by them; then her lessons in truth articles were published in unity magazine and later collected into the book that became her calling card.
if new thought sometimes sounds airy, cady is the person who made it concrete.
j. w. dunne.
dunne is not new thought proper, but he belongs in the consciousness adjacent family tree because he takes the “mind and reality are stranger than they look” problem and drags it into time.
he was born in 1875, died in 1949, and lived two lives: first as a soldier and pioneering aeroplane designer, then as a speculative philosopher of time and consciousness. his book, “an experiment with time” is famous because he claimed to have had precognitive dreams and used those experiences to build a theory called serialism.
the core weirdness is elegant: if our normal sense of “now” is incomplete, then maybe consciousness operates across layers of time, with each layer opening into a higher level of observer.
dunne’s own work is useful for anyone drawn to reality jumping ideas because he’s one of the earliest thinkers to treat time itself as something consciousness might partially stand outside of rather than merely inhabit.
f. w. h. myers.
a british poet, critic, classicist, and one of the founders of the society for psychical research, born in 1843 and dying in 1901.
he is especially important because his work helped popularize the phrase subliminal self, which later became a huge stepping stone for ideas about the subconscious and hidden layers of mind.
the 1911 “encyclopædia britannica” entry on the subliminal self says the phrase owed its wide currency to myers’s writings, especially “human personality and its survival of bodily death.”
in short, that book is central to his thought.
personality is not just the narrow conscious self we usually notice; there are deeper layers that can express genius, inspiration, automatic writing, telepathy, and other psychical phenomena.
though, just like dunne, but if you’re mapping the ancestry of “the hidden mind can do more than ordinary awareness thinks,”
myers is one of the major roots.
and if you’re sitting there going, okay, but why should i care?
that’s up to you to decide, my dear.
this post simply goes deeper into what you may hear in the community, that the conversation around shifting and manifestation is not a random blip from the internet age.
it has ancestors and a history, a long intellectual trail; and you’ve just went through a quarter of it. maybe less.
SHIFTING AND MANIFESTATION FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
once more, a word vomit in which i’m hoping to get one or two points across.
you do not need to be disabled to read this, but if you’re a blogger or someone who gives others advice; this’ll be helpful to see other perspectives. or if you’re simply a member of these communities, education is important.
VERY BIG DISCLAIMER: anything i say is NOT ground rules, you do not need to follow something merely because i said it. i am just a fifteen year old wanting to spread awareness.
furthermore, if you believe any point i say does not apply to you, that doesn’t mean i’ll scream in your face that you’re wrong. you definitely are correct, anyone can do anything however they’d like, but for the parts that do not apply to you, they may apply to someone else! especially if you see an “if”, “might” or “may”. even if those aren’t written, please keep what i said in mind while reading.
see my other posts on shifting and manifestation for neurodivergent people.
ONE
TWO
this post focuses more on physical disabilities, which is why it’s a seperate post from the two above.
let’s just point out the obvious, or.. i HOPE this is obvious: disabled people are not one single experience.
a disability can be visible, invisible, constant or fluctuating, mild in one area and severe in another.
two people with the same diagnosis can be affected in very different ways, and the environment can make disability easier or harder to live with. Inaccessible spaces, bad communication, and stigma create barriers on top of the body itself.
so when people in LOA or shifting communities talk about “the body and the physical doesn’t matter,” that misses the point. this isn’t me spreading limiting beliefs, this is the truth you have to face—whether it goes against your neville goddard fueled strict beliefs or not.
for disabled people, the body does matter. so do energy levels, pain, mobility, access to devices, hearing, vision, speech, fatigue, flares, and privacy. a disability aware version of manifestation has to fit the body you actually have, not the body somebody imagines is “easier.” assistive technology matters here too, it can support independence or dignity, participation and daily life, and it can be low tech or high tech.
the LOA idea, in its usual form, is about the following.
focus,
expectation,
identity,
repetition.
for disabled people, that means the useful part is not “fight your body harder.” It’s to shape attention and reduce friction.
work with access needs instead of against them. that’s the version that stays humane.
the biggest disability issues that affect these practices
some disabled people deal with pain that lasts a long time and affects quite literally everything you can think of.
chronic pain can be deeply disabling,
and fibromyalgia can bring pain, fatigue, sleep problems, and emotional distress.
ME/CFS is a different beast yet again: it is a biological illness affecting many body systems, with severe fatigue not improved by rest, plus symptoms like dizziness, pain, and thinking problems.
some people are homebound or literally bedbound.
that matters because a lot of manifestation and shifting methods quietly assume a body that can sit still, breathe slowly, focus for a long time, and keep trying even when symptoms spike. THAT is an unrealistic for many disabled people.
in conditions like ME/CFS, pushing too hard can cause symptom worsening and recovery can take days or longer.
so, write down on your little notebooks;
a disability aware method has to respect pacing, energy limits, and symptom changes.
did you get that?
alright, moving forward!
hidden disabilities matter just as much. CDC notes that some disabilities are hidden or not easy to see, and that people with the same disability can be affected in very different ways. invisible conditions can create extra problems because other people do not see the struggle, which can lead to disbelief, pressure, or being treated like nothing is wrong.
what NEEDS to change in LOA for disabled people
the first change is simple.
stop making the method depend on one “perfect” body state.
a lot of popular LOA advice acts like stillness, high energy, emotional intensity, and strong visualization are normal requirements. they’re NOT.
they’re just one style, an often inaccessible one if you ask me..
the second change is the method should not punish the person for needing support. a wheelchair, cane, brace, hearing aid, AAC device, oxygen, pain meds, glucose monitor, service animal, screen reader, large print, voice-to-text, or help from another person is not “bad energy.”
it is access.
the third change is hidden disability needs privacy and flexibility. some people cannot disclose everything. some people mask. some people are tired of explaining. a good practice has to work even when the disability is not visible to others. that means the method should work in private, quietly, with minimal tools, and without needing other people to “validate” it.
LOA and shifting methods, adapted for disabled people
VISUALIZATION
a classic one: picture the thing, feel the scene, hold the image in mind.
that can STILL work for disabled people, but it needs to be scaled to the body and the disability. if someone has low vision, blindness, migraine, fatigue, pain, or brain fog, a big detailed “movie in your head” may be unrealistic.
the adapted version is not “visualize harder.” it is use the channel your body actually gives you. that might be sound, touch, one word, a memory of warmth, a sense of space, or even just a factual inner statement.
for people with pain, visualization should not demand long stillness or breath control.
for people with fatigue conditions like ME/CFS, short and gentle is not a lesser version; it is the correct version.
if a method makes symptoms worse, that method is too expensive for that body.
ME/CFS management is individualized for a reason, there is no one-size-fits-all answer.
for people with hearing loss, the “scene” may work better if it is written, signed, or tied to a device or captioned content rather than spoken audio alone. communication barriers for people with hearing, speaking, reading, writing, or understanding differences, and also barriers for vision impairments when materials are not accessible.
AFFIRMATIONS
for SOME (emphasis on some, if you are a person aiming to heal or get rid of your disability, this small part does not apply to you.) disabled people, the big mistake is making affirmations sound like this: “i am fully healed,” “i don’t have limits,” “my body is never a problem.” that can be cruel, and for some people it can also feel fake or shame making. affirmations need to be true enough to sit inside the person’s actual life.
another version is not pretending the disability is not there. it is saying things that support the person’s agency inside the disability, that they deserve access, that their body is real, that pacing is valid, that needing help is not failure, that a bad symptom day does not erase the goal.
in general affirmations, the best affirmations may not be “i already have it” if that makes the person feel fake or strained. they’re more like believability bridges, they keep the target in view without triggering shame. identity based motivation research supports this kind of small, believable identity shift much better than giant self flattering claims. E.X. “i am someone who can receive this in the way my body allows,” or “i am someone who keeps the door open for this outcome.”
for speech disabilities or communication differences, affirmations do not need to be spoken out loud. they can be typed, signed, tapped into AAC, read silently, or stored in a note app. the point is not the sound, it’s meaning and the repetition of meaning.
SCRIPTING
scripting is when people write the desire as if it is already happening. scripting often fails when it becomes too long, too detailed, or too tiring. chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, low stamina, tremor, mobility limits, or hand pain can make long writing sessions miserable.
our adapted version is not a giant polished story, but rather a small, accessible record of the reality you want.
that can mean fewer words, larger text, voice dictation, a screen reader, or writing in tiny pieces. if someone has a visual disability, the script has to be accessible to them too. if someone has communication or language difficulties, the “script” might need to be audio based, symbol based, or shared through assistive software.
again, the body and the device are part of the method.
VISION BOARDS
vision boards are usually visual, but that does not mean only sighted people can use them.
blind or low vision people, a vision board can be tactile, audio based, built through objects, textures, saved voice notes, or a few large accessible words. inaccessible print and materials can block people with vision impairments, and assistive tech can fill that gap.
for people with sensory overload, migraines, or fatigue, cluttered boards can become irritating instead of inspiring. their boards should be calm, simple, and not visually noisy. less can be better because the nervous system already has enough to do.
ACT AS IF, IDENTITY METHODS
these methods can be powerful, and they’re one of my favorites, but disabled people need a different meaning for them. “act as if” should not mean “pretend you do not need support.” it should mean carry yourself like a person whose life has value. that can include using mobility aids, asking for accommodations, taking breaks, and protecting your energy. assistive technology and accessibility do not weaken identity; they make participation possible.
so, for example, if the desire is a job, “act as if” might mean preparing a support friendly routine around that job. if the desire is a move or a trip, it might mean acting as the person who respects their energy and logistics instead of pretending they are limitless. that version gets you the thing faster because it lines the body up with the route instead of fighting it.
“feel it already” also has to be gentler for people with chronic pain, depression, trauma, or fatigue. a body in pain is not a bad body. a person exhausted by an illness does not need to force joy on command. the feeling can be quiet, small, or even mostly intellectual. the LOA goal is alignment, not performance.
SATS
a lot of methods lean on SATS, the pillow method, or “state akin to sleep.” those methods can still work, but only if they are not treated like a ritual of perfect stillness. comfort first end state work. the body gets to be supported. the mind gets to stay on the desire, that means reclined instead of flat if needed, seated instead of lying down if needed, brief instead of long, and easy to stop. the method is supposed to pull the desire closer, not make the body pay rent for it. for someone with POTS or other autonomic problems, avoiding upright strain matters. for someone with pain, the position has to be symptom safe. for someone with trauma or dissociation risk, high intensity trance states can be a bad fit. that method should end in the body still feeling like home.
DETACHMENT
detachment gets misunderstood so, so much that it genuinely bothers me. in LOA, people often act like detachment means not caring. for disabled people, that can backfire because they may already be forced into emotional shutdown by exhaustion, pain, or survival mode. the healthier version is caring about the desire without gripping it so hard that the grip becomes a symptom amplifier.
this is important for people whose conditions fluctuate. if every setback becomes “proof it won’t happen,” the emotional crash is bigger than the problem. the desire can stay alive even on a bad body day, the body does not have to be cheerful for the desire to remain valid.
SHIFTING METHODS
shifting communities often use stillness, silence, meditation, lying in one position, breath focus, or strong inner imagery. disabled people may not be able to do those in the standard way. people with pain may need position changes. people with breathing issues may not want breath centered techniques. people with tremor, spasticity, vertigo, or sensory pain may need a completely different route.
a good shifting method is the one that keeps the person comfortable, safe, and oriented. it lets the body be supported instead of fought. for some people that means sitting up, for others it means lying down with pressure relief. for others it means using a device, music, captioning, or a low energy routine.
how to think about body based limits without turning them into a wall
a lot of disabled people are told either “push through” or “give up.” both are bad advice. In disability aware manifestation, the better idea is pacing plus permission.
pacing matters because some conditions worsen when overdone, especially ME/CFS and some pain conditions. permission matters because needing rest, aids, or adjustments is not laziness.
this also means the method has to respect secondary conditions. people with disabilities often report poorer overall health, and secondary conditions such as pain and depression can arise. so if the person’s body is having a bad day, the method should not become another thing that drains them. it should become lighter, simpler, or even paused.
how to build LOA methods adapted to disability
access first manifestation means the goal is always filtered through what the body can handle today. the question is not “what would a perfect person do?” it is “what is reachable with this body, this pain level, this energy level, and these access tools?”
spoon budget manifestation means you stop treating effort like it is unlimited. disability life runs on real energy budgets, if the body has a small budget today, the method must fit inside it. this is especially important for fatigue conditions.
device supported manifestation means you let tools carry part of the work. text to speech, speech to text, alarms, reminders, screen readers, large print, braces, wheelchairs, canes, hearing devices, oxygen, AAC, and simple notebooks are not distractions from the practice.
body neutral shifting means you do not demand that the body feel perfect before shifting or manifesting. you let the body be tired, sore, or limited, and still work with it. many disabilities come with pain, fatigue, sleep problems, or movement limits that cannot be willed away by attitude.
quiet manifestation means the person does not have to tell anyone, prove anything, or build a big visible ritual. this is good for hidden disabilities, private conditions, and people who are worn down by explanation.
sometimes the strongest version is the least dramatic one.
LOA and shifting should not become another system that demands you “overcome” the body.
the other version says: the body is real, limits are real, support is real, and access is not shameful.
with that base, the methods can be made softer, shorter, quieter, more flexible, and more honest.
it isn’t weaker, it’s usable.
and because the same diagnosis can look totally different from person to person, there is no single disabled method that fits everybody. environment changes disability experience, the right method is the one that meets the person where they are, not where somebody thinks they should be.

“what’s your shifting and manifestation mindset like?”
whatever this is
people who don’t script out discrimination against minorities in their DRs REALLY piss me off.
or just discrimination in general (homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism, etc.)
like ur so fucking weird…?? because I dunno, in MY eyes,
it’s either you don’t care enough about said discrimination,
or you don’t see the people in your DR as real enough to care about.
because sure—you’re technically not “making it happen,” you’re just going to a DR where it DOES happen.
but that’s still odd.
you are actively choosing to exist in a world that breeds hatred and… not even blinking an eye because it “doesn’t affect you”?
how do you live with that? be honest for a second. if someone asked you what you thought about discrimination in this reality, you’d be the first one to cry and talk about how horrible it is, how wrong it is, how people shouldn’t have to go through that.
but suddenly it’s fine when it’s in a DR?
suddenly it’s ignorable? that’s what’s weird. because if you truly see your DR as real, as actual people with actual lives, then why wouldn’t you care about the conditions they’re living in? why wouldn’t you want better for them?
and if you don’t see them as real enough to care, then what does that say about how you’re approaching the whole thing in the first place?
this is literally the bare minimum of awareness, people.
you have the option to not engage with environments built on discrimination, and you don’t take it?
that’s not neutrality nor something that can go behind the excuse “i just want my DR to be realistic”, that’s indifference. do better.
