@hashimada-week day 3: Inevitable Tragedy

Enough fluffiness, enough happiness, you all had enough of that, haven't you.

to be completely fair, I really struggled with an idea for this one...

But! I managed in the end... I guess this is somewhat inspired by the time loop fics I have read in the past (a notable one would be As The Wheel Turns from Mari, her writing is just so good) and also the last Naruto game thing (I think it reawakened the idea in my head lol)

There is something so tragic about the idea that the VotE battle could only end in one way, and that is that Madara ends up on Hashirama's katana, and that's what I went with here. Time loop, and Hashirama is cursed to forever kill Madara in the same way. Front, or back, it doesn't matter, because it just keeps happening, and every time, Madara says something that breaks Hashirama’s heart right before he passes, and also fuels, in a twisted way, Hashirama’s determination to "save" him.

Perhaps, the only way for him to break the loop would be for him to accept Madara's death.
