I don't know how you will react to me doing this, but I still think I own my people to, at least, talk about it and share.

Hey guys, I'm Anne, but you already know that, what you maybe don't know if you don't know me like, for real, is that I'm Colombian, fortunately not affected by the Earthquake from last August 10th, but it's still weird, you know? To be at my university taking classes like if nothing happened while my cousin was being evacuated from her own university in Medellín for the same menace, hits harder because she lives away from her family, like, one whole region of difference. My mom's family felt it and despite they're alright and still have a roof over their heads, lots of people do not had the same luck.

Like always, Chocó, the region with most black and indigenous people is the most damaged for not having easy access to hospitals and other related first care things, despite it was the center of the earthquake, literally the strongest point and where everything started. And as always, it is forgotten by the state. I'm not sure how our actual president is reacting towards it because I haven't search properly and because he's an asshole, and that was his literally second day in charge.

However, as I said, and despite I will continue my life after this post as I can't do much except donate from my own savings, maybe blood, Chocó and Antioquia are still regions on my map, they're still people from my country and people who need help, and while I just had dinner, maybe they're praying to have some tomorrow, and that makes me sick.

But I will not just talk about it, specially because I'm not affected. These are resources I found to donations outside Colombia and a bit of information, I have my reasons to trust in these links

One of the journalists of this short is a member of an independent team named La Pulla, a small team that talk about politics and news in the country, they're talking about the situation and also shared about TAAP, an arts foundation, and ABACO, the association of the food banks in the country

This is ABACO, the association of food banks, this link will get you to where you can donate money, it should help you donate if you choose USA instead of COL, this way it'll help you donate in dollars and accepts more debit cards and even number of passports

This is TAAP, their main objective is sharing art and education through their foundations to vulnerable communities but right now they're taking volunteers and donations to both Venezuela and Colombia, specially Chocó where they have more presence, in their linktree you can find a link to donate

this is the Colombian red cross link, which payment system is the same one to ABACO so you just need to do the same, select USA instead of COL, and it lets you select DEA and AUS

This influencer made a go fund me which plans to collect as many money as possible to buy donations for indigineous communities in Chocó

Other foundations you can follow to keep a bit informed are Jacarandas and AfroColectiva, both on TikTok and Instagram, but they're only spanish speaking, both are foundations that dedicate to fight for women's and LGBTQIA+ rights, and AfroColectiva more based on Black and Indigenous rights. AfroColectiva is more Latin America based but Jacarandas was founded by Colombian women and is still directed by Colombian women

Right now these are the only trustful links to donations outside my country I trust, and the reason I do only for outside Colombia is because, to be honest, I have NOT A SINGLE friend or follower from my country here on Tumblr. My whole point speaking english and shit was to be anonymous, but right now it feels hard to be in this situation. I say lots of shit about my country all the time but right now people need the people, and I'm also people at the end of the day
