Episode 1 - The Lotus

Samura Jade is my Ninjago original character, this is episode one of an upcoming series of episodes.

Oh I love questions about my ocs!! ahem let me see.... Ok so....

Jade grew up in the Jade palace with her brother Hutchins, their job was to serve the royal family. Jade never wanted this life, so she left. She found Chen who promised to teach her how to become a strong ninja.

In canon, Jade has a good heart and that is ultimately what led her to leave Chen, But let's see what would happen if she never left.

The Wilting Lotus

Samura Jade would take over transit of Chen's shipments, making sure that their supplies was brought in, and that the noodle house made the right amount for finances.

Jade would also obey Master Chen and help his plans come to fruition.. Handling outside matters that took place off of Chen's island, returning from missions frequently.

Clouse would tend to Chen's every need during this, Happy to be needed by his Master without feeling any competition.

Jade and Clouse's friendship would die off into a mutual existence, Jade would lose her humor, and Clouse would dislike who she became. It would be a sad co-existence, Clouse would actually search for some sort of spark between them, but Jade would be the shell of who she once was, just cold and silent.

Their conversations were brief, there will always be a unspoken silence between them. Even in this world, their lives will always be intertwined, but never joined.

Jade's newest mission would change everything for her... Master Chen told Jade to go to Sensei Garmadon, get information and return.

Jade would do just that, making her way to Sensei Garmadon's monastery, gaining his trust, but after speaking to Garmadon, she wanted freedom.

When season four begun, They went to the island. Jade would pretend to be on the ninja's side but Skylor and Jade had one job, to listen and gain information.

Jade however would begin to help the ninja, not disclosing all information to Chen. She was finding a spark of happiness that she had not felt in years.. But..

Chen would use every card to his disposal, he would wait until the right moment to throw off Sensei Garmadon.

"Ohhh really? You didn't even notice it was one of your own! Did you really think Jade was trying to stop me? HAHA!”

Sensei Garmadon was shocked to find out that Jade was working for Chen all along. Causing Garmadon to give her the cold shoulder from then on.

Jade would feel upset at this, especially because she was actually trying to help them the entire time. This would cause her to close off once again and assist Chen in his master plan.

Jade’s ending would be the same outcome as the rest of Chen’s henchmen and Sensei Garmadon, She would be sent to the cursed realm.

In this realm, she would be trapped along with Chen, Clouse, and Sensei Garmadon. But she never escaped her fate and is presumed departed.

WOW okay that was a lot to write down but I hope you like it! Thankfully this is not canon and Jade is alive and not evil!

I am trying something new today, I’d like to get into voice acting! I’ve already seen a few suggestions on TikTok, so I may make a follow up video voicing Ninjago Characters or even OCs!

Just a Waste! - Ninjago OC Animation

Information: THIS IS NOT A SHIP EDIT AND THIS IS ALSO NOT Al. I painted and animated each scene and vector, bone rigged, and manipulated the art itself.

Oscilla is my Ninjago Dragons Rising OC, a young barn owl humanoid from a realm called Oakens land.

Oscilla is the master of frequency, though she has not mastered her elemental powers. Oscilla was picked up by Lord Ras to fight in the Tournament of sources, but when she was too scared to use Shatter spin, she lost the tournament.

Samura Jade does not tolerate those who hunt dragons, or mess with Lloyd.

This scene is a comic I sketched in 2024, it takes place in Dragons Rising, Samura Jade is still making tea, in the crossroads now. Meanwhile Rapton visits often, not to buy anything but to try and speak to Jade, Who kicks him out constantly. Rapton is scared of Jade's hired Mucoid bodyguard, Telo-Olet.

After Jade found out that Rapton gave Lloyd a hard time AND hunts dragons, she is quick to kick him out.

Part one of a series of animation I am doing of my Ninjago character, Samura Jade.

Hi! I tried to keep it short but I figured maybe detailed is better!

Garmadon 

Samura Jade had a crush on Garmadon when they were younger, but twenty years later, he’s married with a child, of course she is no longer interested in him in that way, now they are friends with a deep understanding for each other, they both trained under Chen for a while and left to try and do better, both of them are walking the line of good and evil. 

Garmadon knew his time was running out, so he asked Jade to watch over Lloyd whenever that time may be. This shows a great care and respect, to trust his friend to look after his son.

Misako 

Misako and Jade do not have much to say, Jade is not jealous of Misako, she doesn’t wish anything ill on her, but whenever Misako is speaking to her son Lloyd, Jade will retreat, she backs away, feeling awkward and misplaced. Their relationship is complicated, but she never felt jealous. 

I believe Jade feels awkward more than anything, that is HER son, not Jade’s. But Garmadon did tell her to parent him. And anytime Jade shows parental affection, she can see Misako's guilt.

For instance, a scene between them would play out like this: 

Lloyd has survived a battle but appears beat up/weak, Jade rushes over to check on him, unknowing that Misako is doing the same. Jade puts a hand on his arm to keep him steady. “Are you hurt?-“ 

Jade instantly grows awkward and uncoordinated as she saw Misako is on the opposite side of Lloyd, she lets go of Lloyd entirely and backs away quickly, leaving Misako to take care of Lloyd while someone talks to Jade to divert the tension. 

(Originally I had made Samura Jade to be the parental mother I wished Misako was, and I still stand by that. I believe the writers ruined the character’s story & how involved Misako was.)

Lloyd

During their first interactions, Lloyd was very interested in speaking to her about his dad, since she knew Garmadon’s past and things that his father never told him. (This is during season 3&4)

After Sensei Garmadon sacrificed himself, Samura Jade took up Garmadon’s monastery for only a moment, they ended up selling it to gain money for their survival after his death and for the statue of Garmadon pictured in the season finale. 

Jade kept up with Lloyd, teaching him and telling him more about his father whenever he asked, even if her stories were limited from the years apart. Then Lloyd started to ask questions about her life, his transition to caring about his father’s stories turned into learning more about Jade. 

When Jade met Mystake again during a trip with Lloyd to get a certain tea for master Wu, it became apparent that she had felt something for Mystake, Lloyd helped coax Jade to try again. So Jade did, and by season 5 you can see Mystake and Jade together. 

Lloyd sees Jade as a mother figure, I would theorize that he feels more comfortable around her than Misako, because of Misako’s attraction to Wu, and sadly her absence many times in his life. Jade on the other hand was always available, keeping up with his life, and kept the promise she made to Garmadon. 

Lloyd always calls her “Misses J” and keeps up with her by sending letters when they’re too busy to visit. Lloyd loves Jade’s cooking and Mystake’s tea. While Misako is flawed, at least Lloyd has Mystake and Jade’s tea shop if he ever needs to talk.

This is why Lloyd knows where Mystake’s tea shop is in season eight when the other ninja did not know where it was, because he would visit in his off times.

Overall, 

Garmadon sees her as one of his closest friends, even a fraction of his former self. Trusts her enough to look after his son.

Misako is a rough awkward relationship, Jade does not know how to interact with her and Misako is too ashamed of when she had to leave Lloyd to really thank Jade or interact much. Misako feels guilt when she sees how Jade is with Lloyd.

can we just talk about how Garmadon is like this cat every time he looks at Oni Mystake
