I’m so curious of how you learned your art to get where you are now. You create art like a 56 year old renound classic artist from centuries before, its incredible. Did you go to school for it? And where/how did you learn and practice the wood etching type style? I have always been particularly fascinated with a style like yours
Hi, thank you so much and I'm sorry I took so long to answer this! The wood etching style came about by accident to be honest, I didn't go to art school but I got really into illustration a couple years ago and just found myself really drawn to adding loads of lines to everything for depth and detail. I feel like the more I do the more I get a better idea of where the lines should go, I am definitely still working on my style and have a long way to go though. My biggest inspos for the linework I do were probably Gustave Dore, Virgil Finlay and Christian Degn :)
