My laptop has just had this happen again, has this issue before where it starts looking like a ancient tube screen TV... it is apparently an issue with the screen's connection cable to the motherboard that threads through the hingea. Have had this fixed once before but now the warranty has expired ages ago. I do have a proper desktop though, but now I cannot reliably use the laptop to draw stuff when traveling to our cabin or such without needing a spare screen...

It is annoying to discover that your screen doesn't actually show you what's really there, both look the same to me on my main monitor
