Video Premiere: Lawn Care — 'Biddy Lounge Song'
Pittsburgh’s Lawn Care have a unique take on the modern iteration of emo. Their songs are confessional and raw in nature, but the forays of upbeat horns, gang harmonies and glockenspiels are effervescently blissful in the way a Jeff Rosenstock or AJJ track is.
“Biddy Lounge Song” is one of the best cuts from their upcoming record Replacement Therapy, and we’re proud to be premiering the time-lapsed music video for it below. It’s interestingly shot and the song has a great build to it.
View it below and visit Lawn Care on Bandcamp to pre-order Replacement Therapy:
Vinyl copies of Replacement Therapy are also available through A-F Records.

horse people are spectacular to listen to bc they love to go on about the “trust” between horses and people and it’s just enchanting. I leave that conversation completely mesmerized by the idea that a person actually trusts one of those fucking demon creatures when you can see it on their face that there is no life or love in their eyes. horses are the ready vessels of a vengeful, hateful god and we should leave them to eat the fucking ground in peace
This 100%

some1 in my apartment building has a rooster on their balcony?? question #1: why question #2: can I have ur rooster
A funny thing about introducing a new queen into a hive that has lost its queen (or one that you’ve killed because her brood was too fighty).
You have to introduce the new queen into the hive with these special queen cages that are stopped up with candy, and are open enough to let the hive smell the new queen, but not open enough that they can get in there and kill her.
Because they will kill her.
When you first put the new queen in she smells like an intruder, but by the time it takes the bees to eat through the candy and free the queen, the queen’s pheromones will have had time to work and the hive will have gotten used to her.
From the outside this kinda seems like:
“Yeh, we were all going to murder you to death before, but we’re full of candy now, so we’re cool. Oh yeh, and how about you be the new queen and stuff. Yeh, that’s cool too.”
beekeeping is really weird
Listen, strange bee queens lyin’ in cages distributin’ candy is no basis for a system of government.
A tiny journal-ish gif-comic from a few tweets I made last night! I believed this kind of stuff until I was 14 or so, which is pretty old in retrospect…
There used to be more but I accidentally saved over it :/
I did manage to recover one other page, though!
(the end!)
I relate to this 100%

NO COPS
By Alisha Rae
My entry for the 2016 Comics Workbook Composition Competition. Last month I was arrested in Baton Rouge for protesting the killing of Alton Sterling by Baton Rouge Police. While utilizing the competition to challenge myself artistically, this comic has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done emotionally and psychologically. I set out on a journey to transform trauma, traveling away from my hot and hurting Louisiana, to heal and process and finish this comic. This is about my experience and I tell it so it is heard. So very many others don’t get that opportunity.
