A long journey beings with a single instant transmission 

“It makes a huge difference to say, “Hey, you’re looking up at someone,” versus “Hey, you’re looking down at someone”… Say you’re looking down at Garnet, which, I will say, very rarely happens on the show. There is a time when you have them looking down on Garnet which happens in the episode “The Test”, and it’s like one of the only times you see the gems like, “We don’t know what to do.” And the reason we did that was because usually, you look up at them you feel like you’re a child and they’re adults and they know what they’re doing… That makes a big emotional difference when you’re looking down on someone versus looking up at them.”
