"Hey, you're fun. I wonder if the guys would like to meet you~? But you're pretty useless too, aren't you? They'd probably just kill you or something." He twirled the gun in hand.

"You just called yourself an elder, Ojii-san. I'm respecting you, aren't I~? And about that gunman." Toki reached behind him and pulled out one of his handguns. He still had a second handgun and a sniper gun hooked onto his back.

Although-

Were those gUNshots? Kiril staggered off his feet and leaned against a tree for support, uttering a sharp gasp. “Wha—hh?” 

"Oh, just an ojii-san." Toki crossed his arms, sighing. Jeez, and he was actually worried for a moment. Well, the bodies were far enough away... But it didn't explain the guns. Eh, not like he cared.

Dammit, she can make even glasses look good!

Miku could not wear glasses. She had tried them once, but no shape looked good on her face. She wore contacts instead. Yet, Luka’s glasses suited her perfectly! Well, spun out and hungover or not, Miku wasn’t going to let her know that she had one that one. Instead, she simply left the apartment, with a mumbled promise that she’d return.

Listening to Miku's story, a small laugh was given.

"That must have been Kyo. Longish blonde hair? Blue shirt? Must be his shift.. I try to avoid him when I can." She rolled towards the edge of the couch, then slowly sat up while now hugging the pillow. The glasses had been sat back down.

"...The glasses are only when I don't want to wear my contacts. But, damn, they give me a headache..."

Miku was the type to do that, actually.

So it was with a strange sort of silent hesitance that Miku approached the other, pulling the blanket back over her with lips set in a thin line. She disappeared into the kitchen, coming back after a few minutes with distaste on her features and a shirt in her hand.

Her hands moved to her eyes, then she numbly reached over and pulled a pair of glasses off the table. The singer put them on, blinking a bit before focusing on Miku.

  And in entered Miku, wrinkling her nose at the smell of alcohol. She stared from Luka to the bottles of wine. There was silence for a long moment. Then she snorted, breaking into a fit of not-very-ladylike giggles.

"God, Megurine. Keeping it classy, I see."

And with that she sashayed her way into the apartment, as if it were natural to be there. She flopped onto the chair next to the couch, crossing her legs calmly. “Want me to get you anything? Painkiller? Juice? An old priest and a young priest?” She said it in a joking way, but she was worried about her rival. She just wasn’t going to come out and say it. That wouldn’t be their way. Perhaps, though, it would be best to move the chair backwards to avoid the other’s more violent tendencies.

Surprisingly, only a few twitches were given at Miku's arrival. Wasn't Luka too young to be drinking anyways?

She looked over at the tealette, eyes slightly puffy. There was a silence in which Luka sat up with a hand on her forehead. "...The first two, and a shirt, if you can manage such a commoner's task." ...Where was her shame? 

...At least she still had a bra on. And, of all things, a striped white and teal one. But it must have been a DD cup.

Lion City was known for two things. One, for hosting three Heroes(now only two, after the death of the infamous Lord of Torture) that were like Gods of Death to other countries. Two? A mysterious tower owned by the fallen Hero, somehow still carrying out gruesome tortures after a six month period of rest.

”..And I am the one who decides if the bridge falls, mm~?” The blonde haired sorceress laughed. Such a stupid thing! Why should she even care?! Hank had been a fine man! No need to go ruin what he had!

”..Of course, I have to do whatever that stupid old man says.” She scoffed and headed through town, going straight to Stella’s bar and in.

"Stella, Benji~. Good evening you two~. I hope things are well, ufufufu~. Could you get me a bottle of that imported ‘sake’~?" 

As the taller, brown haired and bespeckled man nodded and went for her drink, she payed the shorter girl and sat down. Not much to do today, thank Rabia. Maybe if someone wanted a little fortune telling done, she’d do it. No reason why not!

"…Thank you for your worry. My problem now is I… Don’t know what to do."

"There is nothing you can do. This is a curse worse than what you have ever believed yourself to know. If you wish, I can expel the demon from your body. However, it may cause you to lose some of your memories." Yes, the spell had never been perfected due to the fact she never got to use it too often. No problem in it, though. 

MA picked her pipe up and took a deep breath from it. She spoke with the gentle smoke pouring from her lips.

Having it repeated for him didn’t help. He supposed that maybe they were local celebrities…? Although he didn’t see what a head of maids and—who—?

Kiril had to stop himself from flinching when the man patted him on the back, fearing that it was the start of some surprise attack in this surreal dream. This was certainly not a place that he belonged, and as cheery as this “Commander of Guards” seemed now…

In another second that wasn’t even important. Kiril took a look around this gigantic courtyard, just outside a palace, and heard “Lucifenia.” He heard the word “Kingdom” beside “largest,” but in trying to imagine it, all he could understand was Lucifenia as a part of the Red Empire. ….This was Beelzenia, right? Beelzenia wasn’t a kingdom. Lucifenia was a dukedom. 

Kiril frowned and wrung one of his wrists, still seeing the man in armor out of the corner of his eye. On the one hand if it’s a dream, it’s a dream. Even if it really didn’t feel like one. On the other, if I’m not dreaming…I don’t know what’s going on at all… Levianta was a long way from Lucifenia.

He heard himself being called by name, and he looked back up at the man’s amiable face. If he was asking about the year, he beat Kiril to that question by a few minutes. “For the year—i-isn’t it the twelfth of—….did you say…Elluka…Clockworker…?” And that description… "Huhh, are we married now? Are we Beelzenian now? Or whatever?"

His expression jerked into a smile born of the twisting in his gut. “Hahaha.”

"I'm not a dream. It's March 21st, EC Year 500. And yes, I said Elluka.. She's--"

"Right here." Whack. The hooded figure, with her soothing voice, hit Leonhart on the head with a wooden staff. Though it was hard to see her under such a heavy cloak, surely it was the same woman. Even in the hand that grasped the staff was that same engagement ring. A deep frown of annoyance was on her face.

"Leonhart, you better not be making rumors of me. That, if I remember, is Ney's job. Now, just why am I being mentioned?" 

"Ow... Dammit, why am I always your punching bag!?" Leonhart groaned and rubbed his head, looking over at her. "Stupid magic... I think I found your, uh... Husband? Fiance? Whatever? What kind of guy would you even marry?"

"That's ridiculous. Kiril's been de--.... Ah..?" She seemed to focus on Kiril, blinking slowly. "...Ah, ah. Hello, beloved. Considering I have a meeting, I'll make this short. You've seem to have fallen through a rift in time and space to a distant future. I can take you back... In a week, when I return. I don't have too much time to do it right now, so can you please stay with my dear friend here?"

Frankly, Leonhart was creeped out by how the aggravated and mysterious tone of the witch dissolved to sweetness and kindness. Hell, he could even swear his booze he heard something like sugary love.

"..Yeah, uh, stay with me! My house ain't really much, but Germaine and I will make you right at home!"

(WOAH LYNN—??!!)

Nothing was supposed to be like this. This yard full of pillars and fountains, people running about cleaning in frilled uniforms, the sprawling palace just behind him, and the lightly warmer air brushing on his face—it all together was too much, and Kiril was half certain that he was in an especially lucid dream. The last thing he remembered was that game with Elluka and Irina. 

It was late, he must have gone to sleep afterwards and forgotten it in the dream. Even though this was the only conclusion he could reach, he still hid for half an hour fearing that he’d be seen and punished for what was certainly trespassing. He didn’t think he had the energy to wait there for nightfall, though…

…This man could probably throw him right over the wall if he really wanted to. 

He started talking. Kiril swallowed again and tried to smile, but something else today was very off, with the things the man said.

"You’re the…one of the what…? Er—Leonhart Avadonia." He started and stopped bowing twice—what was proper procedure when he was so out of place here? "Well met, ah—ah—I’m Kiril. Clockworker. Artisan.

But, ah, Kiril Clockworker? Perhaps he has relations to the witch!

"One of the Three Heroes, the other two being Mariam Futapie-Head of Maids- and Elluka Clockworker-Court Sorceress. In any case, I think I've heard enough in my years to call your question perfectly reasonable!" Leonhart gave a cheery laugh and patted Kiril on the back.

"We're in the Heavenly Yard, the gardens of the Lucifenian Royal Palace. If you need a broader term, it's in Lucifenia, largest kingdom in the Evillious region!" A proud grin came from that. However, something still bothered the Commander.

People did call him a bit stupid, but even he could see something was off. The Court Sorceress often chatted about similar happenings when she drug some strange looking person... Something about time and space?
