Welp I can now safely say that I've cried countless times over this fictional werewolf man that's supposed to be in this cursed game-

So I drew my children to make myself feel better.

As much as I'd LOVE to have Valko back, I genuinely want him in this game so badly it actually hurts, IF there's still the possibility that Infold remains firm on their decision to completely remove him, I'll be so disappointed.

Because what do you mean a game whose whole premise is that love will always prevail is being driven to its breaking point by hate?

Ever since Valko's cancellation was announced, this community had done so many positive things as a way to show support to add him back.

Of course, there's all of the amazing fanworks that you can find on the #bringvalkoback tags. But people have done so much amazing stuff offline.

There was the Valko billboard in Malaysia (that I was very fortunate to witness irl) and after that, so many more people have been organising their own Valko billboards in their respective countries which is just so cool?

And from what I've heard some people have already started a few charity projects under his name? The one that I can remember is 'For Valko, For the Wolves' and people so far have donated around 7k dollars to the Wolf Conservation Centre in such a short span of time which is GENUINELY SO AMAZING?!?!?!

And so far what have the people who're against Valko's existence have been doing? Generating ai content depicting the character being hurt/killed? Going out of their way to visit Infold's HQ building and throwing cow dung and apparently performing rituals? And apparently someone tried to threaten a worker with a knife after they snuck into the building? Don't get me started on *some* of these players being incredibly racist towards global players and accusing them being bots that were paid to support Valko??? I don't understand that.

I know some of these players are frustrated with Infold and Valko's release was a breaking straw for them, but come on...

I know this fandom is hellish most of the time. But genuinely, I've never seen this fandom being this united until now, doing something positive. All for this wolf boy.

I sincerely hope that the higher ups at Infold will reconsider their decision because if they really do end up going with this decision, they realllllly fucked up here.

I kept thinking about little Valko kitty and i got a bit sad imagining just how excited he'd be being able to join his kitty butler friends at Meow's Cafe.

I don't like to pull this card nowadays but wow Sylus would be deeply disappointed in these people, especially if some of them are Sylus mains because what do you mean you guys are doing the exact same thing as the people who chased him out of the human village in his dragon myth???

Guys meet my new OC.

I don't want to be all sad and emotional again (I have... made it very clear I was going through it on my IG already) so for now, I'm putting all of my feelings and turning it into art that I want to look at and smile. I want to make it clear as well that in this post, I see Valko and my OC/MC Myra to have a platonic sibling relationship. I don’t feel like I should have to explain myself here. I just feel more maternal towards Valko, really. It makes sense for me to prefer him and Myra to be close in this way, especially when I realised some of their similar personality traits (both are very physically affectionate people).

Even though their relationship is a platonic one, I wish to draw more of them. Coming up with these silly ideas for these two had been my highlight for the past week. And I hope everyone respects my decision (I promise I’ll return to drawing Sylus).

Of course, what I said in that moment could never truly fully explain just how incredibly disappointed and sad I am over this.

I know it’s just a game. And I know Valko is just a character.

But lads is a game I genuinely love, and Valko is a character that I’ve been so excited to get to know more of, and seeing this feels like the harshest slap to the face ever.

I’m not even saying this as a Valko enjoyer. But it’s also honestly a really terrible thing that they cancelled his release. Because they’re literally throwing everyone and I mean EVERYONE’S efforts into creating him to waste. From the mocap actors and animation to his design team, to the voice actors… I can’t imagine how they feel knowing their hard work would never be truly appreciated.

I need to reiterate here that I am NOT trying to defend the company behind this game. They have so many issues that they should address. So many issues that I know they could’ve fixed so easily. They could’ve done SO MUCH better with handling the current update.

I'm quickly warming up to Valko for the past week. He's honestly such a cutie patootie and this specific four star of his really made me feel a lot of things.

... I PERSONALLY THINK VALKO WOULD GIVE SYLUS THE NICKNAME 'KITTY CAT' AND SYLUS WOULD SECRETLY LIKE IT (because let's be real, Sylus is the real kitten here)

I promise he'll look better once I get a hang of drawing him properly! JUST WATCH!

Anyway... ehem... I like the new cute wolf boy. Somehow I never really caved in for the werewolf trope but there's a first time for everything I guess lol-

I just think he's a really big dorky goofball, even more so now we got more crumbs of him from the update livestream earlier. GOD I cannot wait for his official release :D

I don't have any extra bonus sketches to offer, but I did draw some random Valko and Myra (my MC) shenanigans earlier because I think they'd be really cute with an older sister and younger brother dynamic.

... Personally I really like him lol.

I just think he looks really really cute. So cute I ended up adopting him and he and my oc/mc are now siblings because the more I look at them the more I'm like "... Yeah. That's her younger brother now".

I'd rather not rant about the whole hate train for him? I just mind my own business and prefer to focus more on the things I really like instead of being stressed over people spreading negativity.

In short though? Even though I understand certain players being frustrated with Infold because of the lack of in-game main story content lately and a lot of the things in the game being very p2p... I can't help but think how ridiculous some of the Valko haters are because what do you mean some of them are focusing their hate by harassing other fans who show interest in him??? I think their hate is being misdirected??? THAT'S JUST MY TAKE THO DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY-

Also CN girlies are even dragging full on racism and fascism just because Valko is the LI on XHS? Which is another can of worms.

Hell, just a day ago? Apparently some lads players came to my friend's Lads fan event and was trying to give our fliers to sign to take Valko off the LI roster??? When my friend was legit a VALKO STAN????

It's the audacity some of these players have thinking they can just spread their own distaste for a character into other people, I feel that annoys me most.

Anyway... I generally don't care what people think about Valko. I LOVE HIM and that's all that matters. And I'm really happy that on my side of IG, most of my moots are pretty enthusiastic for his release! It's not my business to know how other people feel about him. I don't get the people who are trying to make people feel bad for different opinions.

If you like him? That's great! If you're neutral, hey that's cool. If you don't like him, then it's fine. Not everything will be your cup of tea and that's really normal.
