My Sovereign of Darkness's lore
Before SoD, there was the young Dark Choco Cookie. The charming prince of the Dark Cacao Cookie and the hero of many cookies.
Unlike the king, the prince was much more expressive: always smiling, optimistic and hopeful. It was obvious that their differing personalities came into conflict, especially their beliefs. Dark Choco always stood firm in his view that the Citadel should open up to the world, particularly to the tribes within its territory who were suffering due to the Citadel’s neglect. However, the king always rejected Dark Choco’s proposals.
One day, Dark Choco dared to venture outside the kingdom’s borders. Outside! He had explored places he had never imagined, places that seemed from another world and had discovered things he had thought were a myth. And when he returned to the kingdom, he brought a sword with him! A crimson gleaming sword.
However, since that day, the prince had occasionally been acting strangely. He suddenly became very reserved, or forgot events that had happened recently, but what stood out most was how easily he became irritated. No one knew how to react in those moments. As time went on, the prince began to exhibit behavior that worried many. He became rude, angry, and apathetic. Those minor lapses of memory turned into symptoms of disorientation. Sometimes he even forgot the identities of those close to him, and even his own.
Until one fateful day... The king and the prince always ended up arguing, but this time the prince’s patience ran out that day, and he dared to explode in front of everyone. From that day on, everyone saw the prince’s other side. It wasn’t befitting of royalty, he looked like a teenager throwing a tantrum, a boy who dared to defy his own father.
Everything changed in the Dark Cacao Kingdom from that day, because right after that, Dark Choco left the Citadel. But this time he never came back... Since that fateful day, Cacaoians have wondered where the charming prince might be.
During his self-imposed exile, Dark Choco's dementia had reached its peak. His identity had vanished, he no longer remembered where he came from or where he was going. His appearance was beginning to distort. His crunchy dark chocolate dough had turned an unnatural shade of violet, and those eyes, once as bright as rubies, now lacked life and a predatory gaze.
Everything that once was that charming, kind, and responsible prince slowly rotted away until he became a heartless, unforgiving being....
