For those who aren't as depraved of a Mycroft fan as I am, Mycroft Holmes has a novel called "Enter the Lion" where we go back to his younger days of when he wasn't the British Government still.

In said book, there is a character that is basically Mycroft's very own Watson named and penned, "Calvin Trent" - An american who is a part of the secret service and is the only person who Mycroft described as intelligent on the first meeting.
