This is one painting in a series of robo-related paintings by an artist whose name escapes me. It is my favorite of the series. Her eyes look like mine in shape and colour especially when I'm dissociated. The quietness of the color and brushstrokes within the water reflect the slow nature of perception on DXM. As the model's hand pierces through the picture plane, the ripple created waxes the very surface of the painting, melding skin, paint, water together into a single perceivable texture felt by the viewer across the eyelids the very same way one sees the world on a dose of DXM. It is nice how her hand reaches beyond the picture plane in reflection of the primary hallucinatory effect of DXM, the spatial cues indicating the third dimension.
