When he got there, he basically blasted his way in, then stands there, looking around. “If you’re here, come on out. I would have come in quietly, but I didn’t want them to know…” 

  No recognition. No idea who this guy was.

  He stopped a few feet away, tilting his head. “In exchange for your son, though...Ah, I see...They’ve kidnapped someone else? Not unusual for them, I suppose...”

Heavy Magician was standing amidst a small store for something nice for her wife. She wasn’t planning on just taking anything this time around, shockingly enough. She was mostly just minding her business when she felt someone bump into her. Looking around, she noticed that it was a mobian, just what type she couldn’t quite tell.

  Restless - oh how restless the scientist grew. Not with his life - nor with his emotions, but with his studies. Oh, how he’d hit a standstill! Oh how he hated it! The professor siped from a mug filled with cocoa, trying to calm his edged nerves. 

  “What’s wrong, boss?” came a voice, “Cat got your tongue?”

   “Shoo.” Was all the surgeon had to say, turning the page of a book before him and ignoring the parasitic little being staring from a nearby shelf.

   “C’mon…Tell me what you’re working on! Maybe I can help!”

   “If you must know, the xenotransplantation was not success in my last patient, as the offered blood cells rejected that of the host’s, causing the DNA in the earlier section I’d stitched to -”

  “Bah…I don’t know anything about that.” As expected, the parasite slunk back into the shadows, slipping out of sight. Rennird would’ve wondered why the brat asked, but he didn’t care enough to find out….But that’s when he heard it.

  The doorbell of the manor, old and weary, clanging through the halls loud enough to bother the labroatory he was in. “What a pain,” He mumbles to himself, rubbing his temple. “Urisk, send them away.” The parasite didn’t reply, so the surgeon took that to mean he wasn’t interested. Meant he’d have to deal with it himself…

       Adjusting a microphone on his desk, he cleared his throat. Whoever was at the door would then hear, clearly spoken -

      “To who it may concern - I’m busy. What do you want?” Straight to the point..

Despite how far it was, and despite how strange he was sure they looked, Seek found himself ringing the doorbell to this manor. It wasn’t as though they’d planned to come here, either – Their appearance had frightened people on the way, and it had begun to downpour. 

There was no way he could stay outside in this – not only would his own body become sick, but because of the fusion between him and Mary, they’d end up rusting after too long like this.

“I am very sorry to intrude; I would just like temporary shelter from the rain.” The fact of the matter was, the tone presented seemed to sound like that of a short-circuiting machine. “This – is the last place I am trying, we are trying.”

   Something about that voice also piqued his interest...

 “Very well. The door is unlocked. Come in.”
