“Here are your flowers. That’ll be $6.82.”

“Oh... I’m sorry, but I didn’t ordered flowers, they’re beautiful though, if you’d like to sell them to me I’d love it.”

“Impressive? Candles are easy to make. There’s definitely more complicated stuff I’ve done around here.”

“Is that so? What else have you done?”

“I am not holding a grudge, I’m standing my ground. There’s a difference.”

“Right... Hm... Still, don’t you miss them? Not even a little?”

“I’m sorry he’s doing that. He’s been doing that to anyone he’s come across with, and I’m in the process of training him to stop.” Phil apologizes to the stranger as he whistles for his dog’s attention to stop staring longingly at the person.

Kneeling to scratch the dogs ears Moana shook her head in denial, “no, it’s alright, I don’t mind. I thought you’d walk Dante too, where is he?”

“Uh, a book. I trust you’ve seen one before?”

“Yes, of course. Sorry, I was confused because nowadays everyone seems to carry a kindle.”

“You’re never getting close to a shot of tequila again. Ever." 

Giggling at her friend Moana nodded her head, “sure dear, whatever you say. Do you want more or we’re finished for the night?”

Stitch was tired an honestly wasn’t even sure what he was doing here anymore. His mind was everywhere. Focused on projects, meetings, the holiday season, gift shopping, and food, it was kind of a miracle he didn’t just leave to do his own thing. He noticed a silence and realized the other was probably expecting a reply from him. “I’m sorry,” he apologized, a sheepish smile on his face. “I’m zoned out. Do you think you can say it again? While we get some food. I haven’t eaten all day and I think that’ll help me focus better.”

Moana kept babbling of how she didn’t know if the hula lessons she’s given would be enough to pay her rent, she missed Maui, how she missed him, he would always find a way to help her, sighing heavily the woman looked at her friend, to find him and his belly pleading for food. “Of course, Steven,” the brunette woman nodded at him, “do you know what exactly you want to eat?”

“Just so you know - There’s chocolate aaaaalllll over your face.”

“Aw, that’s such a shame cause I can’t lick off of my face.”

Gabrielle sighed, shaking her head as she watched crowds mingled. “You wouldn’t think this was a formal party half an hour ago would you,” She took another sip from her drink. As expected, Gab was at another Christmas party. “Another day, another event that has dissolved into debauchery. It’s kind of predictable at this point. These people can’t stand each other in the office, but get two bottles of red down them and they’re all best friends.”

Moana didn’t know what she should expect when she accepted Gab’s invitation, so far it hasn’t been different from how other countries would have their parties, furrowing her eyebrows the brunette scoured her brain, trying to find the translation of the words she just had heard, “I’m sorry Gab, but what debauchery means?”

“…So I maybe have done something impulsive and adopted an entire shelter’s worth of dogs.  If you know anyone who would like a puppy or dog for Christmas or just in general who wants one I might be able to help with that.”

“That’s impressive. I may want one. However I also want a mini pig, do you know where I can get one?”

“Ok,” Mary said, trying, and failing, not to smile. “You’re really gonna hate me for this, but could we maybe move the garland again? Like, back to where we had it in the first place?” 

Sighing heavily the brunette moved the garland once again, waiting for Mary’s approval, “here? please say yes.”

“You did not just call chocolate ice cream the best ice cream. Are you insane? Next you’re going to say Eleven is the best Doctor. Jesus.”

“I just said it’s the best thing I ever tasted, but I don’t know yet, I want to taste another flavours too, do you have one in particular to recommend me?” Furrowing her eyebrows for a moment Moana considered her last few words before coming into the conclusion that she didn’t know of what doctor Athena was speaking about, neither how they call their doctors by numbers. “Doctor? Doctor who?”
