the way he holds her is docile. the weight not held in his chest, but in his esophagus. lower lip quivers in the presence of vulnerability. she's seated between his denim clad, spread legs. death she's oh-so-familiar with clung to individual stitches in washed fabric, interweaving multiple strands of dna. such a weighty lead into the concept of frank castle.

he should care that he's about to add another. priceless, perhaps not in the form of spilled blood, but of perhaps passed saliva in much needed break from all the hurt. that which he causes, and that which was caused to him. perhaps something a bit more intimate to join the bittersweet commingling.

teeth are pressed. brows lowered, hovering over narrowed eyes. nostrils twitching. "don't make me regret this, yeah?" it's gruff. meant to play off the reality that plays in less than hardened eyes. backs of bloodied knuckles raising to brush against porcelain cheekbone.

dirties her with a pass of dead man's thumb. spreading the ashes of his future there to lay another piece of himself to rest.

and even if he isn't the one to initiate, he welcomes. selfishly. leaned into seat behind him with opposite arm not even touching - breath stained with alcohol, and still with the carousel lights flickering just out of reach. pretending it doesn't phase him. but her mouth reaches out and he opens his own in search of relief. the kind alcohol can't bring. closing his eyes, and bidding himself to relax. fist quietly wrapping into her clothes with an extra clench searing his split knuckles.
