A girl with a gun
Important notes at the end!
“Galice” by Dean Blunt was one of Ayaka’s favorite songs. It was the song she listened to while sharpening her blade. Her room was a mess. Absolute filth. Plates stacked up neatly on a desk drawer, trash littering the ground. Her mom who she was forced to live with after she dropped out begged her to clean her room. But she refused. Why would she clean her room? She had more important things to worry about anyway, like getting her gun license. She sighed, looking out the window. Overcast at least that’s what it looks like. The dark clouds overshadow the bright sun and hide its glow. A truly pitiful day. She could hear the footsteps from a mile away, the sound of her door opening not fazing her one bit. “Your room stinks.” Her mother exclaimed.
“Ok.” She spoke.
Her mother would huff and close the door of the room. Choosing to stop the arguing. Wasn’t much of an argument to be quite frank. Just a bit of a talk. She would stare at the ceiling for a while, blinking slowly. Her eyelashes would press up against her face as softly as possible. She looked at the time, 8:20 am Just in time for her to go get her license. She’d hop out of bed and put on her slippers and grab her documents. Today was the day. She’d finally get her way. She would walk down the steps not bothering to look at the bathroom even think about taking a shower.
“I left you eggs.” her mother stated. “Thanks.” Ayaka replied.
She would walk to her car always horribly parked down the street and open the janky, beat up car door. As she stepped her foot inside the car her heart pounded, the second she twisted the keys into the rugged keyhole she looked in front with the coldest glare.
The world seemed to be spinning without her. Everyone knew what they wanted and how to get it. Except Ayaka, maybe that's why today mattered. She was so full of nothing but resentment and hate. She gritted her teeth at the state of the world. Like the angry man yelling at a cloud, it was pointless. She hated herself for becoming so small. and what better way to finally control the world around her than to get the one thing people feared the most.
