what do you have against daredevil 😭

i actually like him as a character (as far as marvel goes. he has a good record as far as runs go and in general I find him more compelling than most marvel comics male characters) I also think he sucks as a person and Frank should be meaner to him

#and i think i have given my thoughts on the evolution and stagnation of their relationship before so #frank castle #matt murdock #i did consider making a post about that but i assume someone already has but idk #the tv show version of the relationship i don't care for but while i like that matt fine i don't like that frank.so #daredevil also gets some good will from me in elektra being introduced in those comcis. so

'Garth Ennis can be good he just needs an editor to keep him in check' < often parroted nonsense I disagree with for a bunch of reasons but it is true some of his work benefited from being restricted by their existence in the broader DC/Marvel narrative: Hitman being a guy who just shoots people but who happens to live in Gotham so he comes across all that kind of nonsense, Hellblazer with its Kit/John narrative where she just gets to leave while he is stuck, and most importantly Ennis's Punisher work which is intentionally written as a character who needs to keep doing what he does forever because there will always gotta be new Punisher comics

#this is also why punisher i like even beyond ennis because he had such an influence on the character #while characters like deadpool and wolverine etc i have come to despise #garth ennis #frank castle #for a bunch of reasons ennis would just think frank should die #but he can't. so
