watching a video about slumber parties and it's got me wondering what everyone's slumber parties were like. mine were mostly playing halo on co-op and larping warrior cats, but once this one girl fucked with us by making up a ghost story and pretending to be possessed and it went on for days. she'd do the possession thing in school and we all fucking bought it. the school counselor had to get involved. fun times
I feel like a lot of mcu punisher/vigilante fans (particularly the fratt and kastle shippers) miss the point of the punisher which is that he cannot and should not get a happy ending in canon, that fundamentally defeats the purpose of his character. and whoever is in a romantic relationship with him will not end up happy with him.
i have zero idea what’s happening story wise but MGS3 is so fucking funny what the fuck is this game ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
My favorite part of MGS3's story is how the main antagonist is this modern warrior poet of sorts who sacrifices her life and legacy in the pursuit of her ideal world--without borders or nations, where governments will no longer make pawns of their people--who dies tragically at the hands of her pupil, setting in motion a period of heightened global surveilance and the mythologization of these deeply flawed men who survived this incident.
And the character in question is straight up named The Boss, who casually happens to be the first human in space, who gave birth fighting for the allies on the beach at D Day.

i actually like him as a character (as far as marvel goes. he has a good record as far as runs go and in general I find him more compelling than most marvel comics male characters) I also think he sucks as a person and Frank should be meaner to him
'Garth Ennis can be good he just needs an editor to keep him in check' < often parroted nonsense I disagree with for a bunch of reasons but it is true some of his work benefited from being restricted by their existence in the broader DC/Marvel narrative: Hitman being a guy who just shoots people but who happens to live in Gotham so he comes across all that kind of nonsense, Hellblazer with its Kit/John narrative where she just gets to leave while he is stuck, and most importantly Ennis's Punisher work which is intentionally written as a character who needs to keep doing what he does forever because there will always gotta be new Punisher comics
