Namely how, if you had absolutely no context, you would assume that Dante and Vergil are the two illuminated figures in the center. You know, the focal point of the painting? And that was a choice, a deliberate and very interesting choice, especially in modern context if instead of Divine Comedy-related brain damage, you have Devil May Cry-related brain damage.
When in actuality, armed with context, you know that Dante and Virgil are the two motherfuckers standing in the background like
