Marlins and Nationals and Tiger's fans should watch carefully this off-season....
There are going to be big money free-agents, that they need. Miami is pretty close. The NL East is scary. Nationals have Wood and a few guys, that are future all-stars. But yea, these teams should be spending. If you're fans of them, you should expect that. Valdez... a ton of guys.... like, they blame Mike Rizzo in Washington. He had 12 dollars all together the last four years to spend on free agency. He couldn't even extend guys. Marlins have a great foundation with the prospects coming in 2026-2028. They should extend Sandy, but that won't happen. They could even get a lesser number with a no-trade clause... but they wouldn't even do that. The Tigers have spent 12 dollars the last ten years on free-agents. Whatshisname, there before this Baseball Ops, why was he supposed to do anything with those resources? I mean, it's like Pittsburgh... you gotta spend 20 million an off-season with some risk. They never do that. They build zero depth. They extended guys... but then they trade the best defensive 3rd basemen in baseball for nothing. What were ya really replacing him with? I mean...
I'm posting these as examples. I can type for hours straight, this stuff. Should I start a blog and link it here? I don't want to spam mlb search or whatever. I can start a blog, but there will be 20 posts at a time when i do work on it.
So, should I start a blog?
Tarik Skubal - First 400 million dollar pitcher.
Greg Maddux signed the first 50 million contract, and now Scott is brokering the first 400 million dollar pitchers contract. If he goes 3 years cy young into free-agency? I'd say Tarik should win this year. He was a force all year, and the Tiger's free fell. Where would they be without him? But Crochet is crazy. So good. He reminds me of a more controlled Chris Sale. Old Chris Sale.
Nick Kurtz- 11 years, 315 million. (This is my last post, before boosting and all that, to see if i should start an actual blog.)
I think they should sign Nick Kurtz to a 300 million dollar contract. He might just take it, even another year from now. Going into Vegas, with Nick there from the beginning, and all of your other good hitters? I think signing him would be a great investment. He's worth 300 million right now. After next year, he might take 300 million. But a full-season, he'd get paid very handsomely in free-agency. MLB Right when he hit a ball 500 feet to the left-center..... i knew he was a great investment, if the A's were ever going to invest. He is legit. You don't just hit a ball 500 feet to left-center field, no matter the ballpark.

Making the Case for Pete Alonso
It's going to be very interesting. Pete is a good fielder, as long as he doesn't have to move. He picks errant throws as good as any firstbaseman. He gets poor defensive metrics, going right to right and left to left. He is called 'Polar Bear', because HE is the SIZE of a Polar Bear. Schwarber has no defensive value what so ever. And all Pete's hitting metrics are way better this year. I'd go to 100 million for Pete if I were the Washington Nationals Miami Marlins and the Tigers make sense, Seattle makes sense... it's hard to think of the teams that don't make sense, when you don't consider payrolls. Cleveland, Brewers, whatever team, outside of the Braves, Phillies, Dodgers, and who? Los Angeles Angels Pete makes a ton of sense there. Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum The's A's make sense.... Tampa makes sense.... what teams don't? I mean, if Pete doesn't get 100 million, that's baffling. I love Kyle Schwarber as a player. But he's a DH.... but you can put him in the #4 or #2 hole and just leave him. But Pete's the same. #MetsBaseball I think Pete just makes sense on every team, minus 4. Even the Astros... If Steve Cohen signs him, with their pitching needs, payroll is going to the 380 million level. MLB
Cubs and Brewers.... they love each other.
You know how much the Boston Red Sox hate the New York Yankees???? Well, the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs hate each other just as much. This series has the ability to make one fan-base sick to their stomachs. They're a lesser-known feud, because the St. Louis Cardinals are there, too. But it's kinda funny that so much is riding on this series. It's not even about the World Series, it's about embarrassing each other.
The Braves have the best outfield in baseball. Profar looked like the guy he was last year.
And Michael Harris.... and Matt Olson... our offense is lethal. And you know Austin Riley is coming back strong. He's really good. And we haven't even seen a complete season from him yet. Baldwin is very good. I think if they trade for a starter, they'd have to trade him, just because of Murphy's surgery. And you don't trade Baldwin because of that surgery. I think if they can find a starter to trade for, they aren't getting anything done without Baldwin and Waldrep. What prospect do we trade that high-lights a package? They're calling Baldwin a potential all-star, and we really don't need his offense. And carrying 3 catchers, no matter the skills, weighs heavily on a manager's abilities. But yea, it's weird to see how they trade for a starter. I know if they want pitching only, that's easy.
I can post interesting stuff on baseball.
If you want me to start an actual blog, tell me. Is this worth reading?
I think the Mariners are stupid not to shop one starter this off-season.
Get some quality prospect capital. Get a top pitching prospects, and a top limit-defensively prospect, or better. I think the Mariners, who are south of me by a bit, need to get creative. They could really add depth to a depleted farm system. And remaining competitive. Get a big league piece back, too. They have a farm that has some pitching already, too.

I had a thought about a move the Braves need to make....
Make him go from Queens, to Atlanta.... Liberty Media would see why the Braves would make this expenditure. If Edwin Diaz opts-out, he improves the Braves bullpen so much. He gives so much depth to it, and he doesn't give up runs. I think that Alex and his staff, they need to get Edwin Diaz.
Edwin Diaz has a NO-BRAINER opt-out decision
Edwin Diaz is the best reliever we will see available for a long time. He could get 85 million very feasibly. No way he doesn't opt out. And that creates a big dilemma in Mets land in Queens, NYC. Their bullpen is the last thing they want to think about this off-season, as far as the best closer in baseball over the last 5 years going to free-agency. @mlb And if every team in baseball isn't interested in Diaz, I will be shocked. 100 million again, probably. I know the math on 85 makes sense.
Yankees have one more day in the post-season.
Bieber and Rodon will be crazy. I know they are the favorites, because Rodon is really Bieber, if Bieber was healthy all year and made all his starts. Bieber could step up here.
The Seattle Mariners.... a rebuild?
Seattle Mariners If you guys lose to the Tigers, that's awful. You should trade every player, and start over with a rebuild. Tigers beat the Guardians, because it was a 3 game series. In no way were they better. If the Mariners get to the post-season for the first time in 24 years, then lose to this bombing Tiger's team...? Rebuild. Fire everyone. The point is: They have the best rotation in baseball going over 5 games, and they lose? And the MVP, because of what he did at the catcher position. Judge is amazing, but Cal did stuff that we'll never see again.
