Broadway, here I come

AnthonySwanson: Was just sent this and I have to say, it’s probably one of the best pictures of me. I don’t think I look tired at all. 

AnthonySwanson: In honor of 10,000 followers(yay!) I have decided to post a video from a show my band that I miss so dearly, The Storm Project did over the summer. Haven’t performed with them in a few months but I can’t wait for our epic reunion show in December(as sad as I will be and not looking forward to leaving Newsies)! Thought I’d share a piece of my not on Broadway performance life. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed performing it! @leahpuckermxn...she wanted me to post a thirst trap of her so enjoy her epic guitar playing skills! The ultimate thirst trap! 

AnthonySwanson: I cannot believe it has already been 1 month since I started playing Jack Kelly on Broadway, a dream role of mine since I was a kid singing and badly dancing along to the movie(and forcing my brother to join in with me...he’s definitely the better dancer). This has been the most amazing month and I have met so many incredible people from stage dooring(and also this amazing and talented cast). I truly truly hope that after my three months are over I will get to experience this again. Not just Newsies, any Broadway show. Also the cheering at the end, making me feel like a star for the first time so thank you all for that. Now hopefully the next two months don’t go quite as fast because I am nowhere near ready to finish this. Also thanks to my old roommate for feeling the need to message me and send me the bootleg that I’m actually in.

I dunno. I guess school is school to me.

No, I know why I was against it. I assume it’s the same reason for you, but I could be wrong. Adoption agencies like to give kids to parents who look like them. There’s exceptions, of course, but it is a thing. Braxton could have similar genes.

Not when you’re wanting to make it in a business that’s hard as hell to make it in. Like a community college musical theatre program probably wouldn’t be as good as an arts school education. 

I can’t imagine being that picky about anything, I’m sorry.

I mean, I do. But shit happens. I guess they just have some kind of gene, lmfao.

I wasn’t being picky, just wanted to make sure I went to a good school that would give me the education I deserve, which I did. Plus if I didn’t choose Cape Cod, you would live life without me so. 

Oh, well that’s a lot of unnecessary stress but I get it. College is expensive as fuck, that’s why I didn’t go. Lmfao.

I guess for once the odds are in my favor. Oh, congrats. I agree, sex with feelings is the best. Shame there’s so many strings there.

It is, that’s why I chose the college I got a scholarship at over the higher up schools. This one is still pretty great though and clearly has some connections. Just not in the top 5 best arts schools...top 10 though.

Leah: You and Gab sounded great together. I'm doing the editing tomorrow. Tonight is date night.

Leah: Seriously. Jackie really likes him. Ruin this for her and I will never forgive you.

Leah: She's the only constant in my life besides Jake and my mom. If she cuts me out because my friend is an annoying POS, is2g.

Anthony: Can't wait to hear the finished product! It was so fun singing your amazing song with her! We'd make great leads for the actual show.

Can’t you just take a gap year or something?

It takes more than a good score and you know it. You haven’t even had sex yet? What if it’s bad?

Not that I’d want to, but no, I’m on scholarship. Only reason I’m not losing my scholarship right now is because I’m on Broadway, which is you know, a thing most musical theatre majors aspire towards. So they’re cutting me some slack this semester. Unless I book another Broadway show, can’t say they’d let me do this again.

Anthony: Those are amazing! I can’t wait to record that!

AnthonySwanson: I still cannot believe my Broadway debut is tonight. It’s still so surreal to me that something I have been dreaming of since I was a kid is happening. Even if my rehearsal was a bit more rushed than I would have liked, I feel 100% prepared and not as nervous as I thought I’d be...but ask me again after the show, especially if I learn someone is planning to review it. Now let’s just hope this goes as well as I hope and will be the starting point to an amazing career for me. Yay newsies! Also thanks for the picture whoever took it at the dress rehearsal yesterday! Might frame it! 

Eh, I skipped classes in High School and I’m not dead, yet.

I’m writing an Off-Broadway musical. And it could flop. Wait… You’re already thinking about that? Dude. It’s been a month. Don’t scare him off.

This is college though and my final year...I don’t want to screw it up after already missing a semester. 

Leah: Is not.

Leah: Well, she is smarter than you, so...

Leah: Hey, I behave!

Leah: Seriously, don't worry. I just booked something.

Anthony: Hush you

Anthony: Your nose is growing again

That’s the plan. I’m giving you all my shifts and never actually going to show up again.

Oh fuck, I am going to move to New York, aren’t I? Fuck, I can’t afford that.

Well, don’t do that. I have school I have to do also! Just a little more than all the other part time employees. 

Leah: She wouldn't let me if I wasn't so damn hot.

Leah: Thanks.

Leah: That's good! Your dog's approval is clearly the most important thing.

Leah: You mean you never pulled that stunt in New York? I'll just call every one on TripAdvisor until I get something, it's chill.

Anthony: Eh, still biased

Anthony: Definitely, I would never date someone Roxie didn't approve of.
