I'm disabled, queer, and indigenous. My disabilities have slowed me down on my art projects a lot, but I'm still actively working on them! My biggest project is a manga called Peripety. It features monsters (mostly werewolves) a slow-burn queer platonic romance, and maybe! A little cannibalism for fun!

Remember trumps 'counterterrorism strategy' where antifascists were labeled terrorists? It's already starting.

In my neighborhood in minneapolis, 15 legal observers were arrested this morning and are being charged by the DOJ for trying to record ICE illegal activities. (They're calling it conspiracy to impede ICE officers, which is obviously untrue).

There are news articles about this already, but none that I really trust that I've seen so far.

Seriously, get plugged into your community now before they can take you by surprise.

They're trying to scare us. Don't let them. Fight back. Do anything. Just don't do nothing.

Worse still, I was injured when our house was bombed while we were inside. I was hit by shrapnel that is still embedded in my body, and I need urgent surgery to remove it. Throughout this time, I have been suffering from constant pain. My surgery is very expensive, and I don't have enough money for it. Now I can't sleep because of the intense pain, and I can't afford my medications and painkillers to stop the pain because of their high price.

Every time I bring up my belief that a transfem is oppressed before she or anyone else realizes she's transfem to tme people, I universally get met with skepticism or even outright hostility.

Every time I bring it up to transfems, I get immediate positive acknowledgement. I have had so many girls tell me awful stories from their egg days, some more awful than I could have ever imagined.

Even those of us without stories from the beforetimes still wear the scars. Regularly I'll come across transfems who don't remember huge parts of their pre-hatch life. Regularly I'll come across transfems with self worth so low they see being objectified as a compliment. Regularly I'll come across traumagenic plural transfems who have had their psyche shattered from childhood trauma. (this is kind of a self report considering we are or have been all of these lol)

The reason TME people don't want to acknowledge this reality is because they are complicit in it. They were the ones traumatizing us, and they haven't stopped. Trauma is not inherent to transfeminine existence, it is a product of the transmisogyny these people refuse to admit exists.

Memory problems are disabilities too, and I’m tired of being punished for them.

Yesterday, my doctor put in a referral, but when the office called to make an appointment, they informed me that because I had too many no shows, they could only get me an appointment the day of. That means I have to call every day and hope that they have an opening, or not get treatment at all. This isn’t the first time my memory disabilities caused me problems. As for therapy, I had to jump between a couple different organizations because I would keep forgetting to show up to appointments. I had 3 strikes, and then they'd kick me out. But now that I have a new therapist who is willing to be flexible with me, I realize that that's kinda a bunch of bullshit? And that makes me realize how ablelist everyone else has been.

And yes, I understand that it’s frustrating to deal with someone else’s forgetfulness. It can also be frustrating to deal with people who have autism, or who can’t walk or see. And if I make a stink about this, people will say that these policies are put in place for the benefit of the providers, and people will tell me to be more disciplined, or try this or that technique that I’ve already tried and doesn’t work. They’ll tell me I’m being unreasonable.

But not only does my therapist accommodate me (and so easily too), so do all of my friends and my PCA and everyone else in my life. The only people who punish me are institutions, and they have the money and resources to soften the blow of whatever inconvenience I cause.

This goes for banks, the government and all their paperwork they make me fill out, schools, work, everything.

There NEED to be better accommodations for people with memory problems. And people have got to stop taking advantage of us to pile late fee on top of late fee.

I don’t like how I’m kinda expected to rewrite the first 20 years of my life just because I’m trans. I was the eldest daughter in a black household. I can’t go back and edit my history to say I was the eldest son, cuz that doesn’t accurately convey the certain standards I was held to. I was the only girl in my engineering class. I can’t leave out the “girl” part. It recontextualizes the entire situation. I don’t think either of those facts invalidates my current gender and I don’t think trans people should be expected to rewrite their own history in fear of that
