The Tanuki was not the best superhero name but when your options are just Tanuki and Tomboy Tanuki, Michiru felt she went with the better option. Half the time, you don't always pick your hero name and honestly, it was better than something like.... 'Rex-Splode' or something. Then again, unlike someone like him, it was not as if Michiru could turn off her abilities. It was constantly look like this...
Which was fine!
She had the cool shape changing powers and abilities, she should be happy that her 'base' form was still so human-like. Still, she could of done without being so skewed on the whole 'furry' metric. Before becoming a hero, she hadn't even known about that side of things. Not that she had much choice now but to throw herself into it, especially if she wanted to try and get a date or something in the future. Only certain types wanted a girl like Michiru!
Sneakers pounding the pavement, Michiru Kagemori was in the middle of a run. She liked to try and keep her ability and endurance somewhat high, elements of her tomboy nature lingering still. Panting in a steady rhythm, she kept focused on her stride. Feeling the distance she stretched along, her mind felt free and flowing. There was no destination in mind. She just... ran. Unlike anyone else, she ran in a style that allowed her to traverse. Parkour, even as she vaulted over railings, bounced between alley walls, clambered over fences or cars to the sounds of members of the public and annoyed owners cursing her name. It blended into the cityscape as she just ran and ran and ran.
There was good and bad with being a hero but this? This freedom? That was something firmly in the 'good' side.
