I Love GGs More Than Myself

you knew you reeked of horse shit, sweat and hay bales, and you needed a bath bad. but first, you had to make a pit stop, otherwise you were going to spend the night screaming into your pillow.

you needed someone to rant to so you could blow off some steam. and you knew the perfect person you could count on to still be up and running at this time of night.

you rushed to commander hange’s office door and rapped your knuckles against the wood a few times, you heard footsteps on the other side of the door before it swinged open and revealed said commander.

hange’s wild brunette hair was still in a messy ponytail from this morning, and her golden brown eyes were blown wide with excitement. it almost lightened up your mood with how cute she looked. hange seemed like she was busy with what ever she was cooped up with in her office, but you ignored that.

she was smiling at you, but her smile fell when she saw the upset look on your face. “y/n? what’s going— oh!”

the commander was cut off mid-sentence when you brushed past her and into her office, not even paying attention to the lake of papers that were piled on her desk.

hange looked back at you from where she stood in the door way, a little taken back. she moved and closed the door, ready to ask you what was wrong but you were already opening your mouth to speak.

“if i have to take shit from that short-stack one more time, i’m going to loose my mind!” you growled out in frustration, “i’m tired of him thinking he could just treat me like i’m his own personal feather duster and expect me to just take it!”

hange’s mouth hung open, unsure of what to say. but it’s not like you were giving her time to, if fact, she was pretty sure you forgot she was there.

as she watched you march around her office, ranting with your hair flying around with your movements and you face twisted with fury, she found herself only focusing on how pretty you had looked like this. you were fuming, but hange had drowned out all your raging complaints and admired your red, flushed face.

“— i swear to god, if he hands me one more broom stick he’ll be lucky if i don’t shove it up his— hey! are you even listening?” hange was snapped out of whatever trance she was in when you were waving a hand in her face, an annoyed look on your own.

hange blinked, “uh,” her words were stuck in her throat, until a small smirk quirked at her lips. “as a matter of fact, i wasn’t.”

she saw the spark in your eyes explode into a bonfire, and you were about to yell at her “wha-“ you were cut off mid-rant when hange placed a hand on the side of your face. “hmm, you’re quite distracting, aren’t you?”

your eyes widened, and you felt heat build up in your cheeks from the close proximity the commander had put you two in. “i’m.. what?”

hange’s thumb gently caressed your cheekbone, “you look adorable when you angry, it almost makes me want to kiss you.” she snickered.

a zoo of butterflies erupted in your stomach, a familiar feeling you would get whenever around the commander. yes, you liked hange, but you would never initiate anything because you didn’t know if she went that way. but now you had an idea of it, and it took you a while to built up enough courage to say what you were about to say.

“well..?” you squeaked, looking into her eyes for any sort of reaction.

now with permission, hange grinned widely before leaning down to press her lips to yours. you sighed contently against her, the feeling of her lips finally against yours making you feel giddy and weak in the knees.

you felt hange wrap an arm around your waist, bringing you even closer to her to deepen the kiss. you ended up doing the same, wrapping your arms around her shoulders so you two were now squished together as close as you could be.

the kiss was sweet and slow, like you two had all the time in the world just to feel each other and enjoy the moment. you felt yourself dialing down, and you forgot all about the anger and resentment you had towards the captain. in fact, you couldn’t even think about the captain— the only thing that corrupted your thoughts was the commander who had you flush against her.

hange pulled away from you, making you huff at her. she grinned down at you, booping you nose with her index finger, “you have no idea how long i’ve wanted to that, your so cute.”

you smiled back up at her, twirling one of the loose strands of her hair with you finger. “even if i smell like horse shit?”

the commander leaned down to give you another peck on your lips before lifting back up, giving you doleful eyes.

“even if you smell like horse shit.”

you scrunched up your nose with a giggled, making her let out a small laugh as well. hange backed up a little from you, resting her hands on her hips with a sigh.
