Do not let the popularity of a sin fool you. A sin does not become less severe simply because it is common. When sins become widespread, the punishment of Allāh may descend upon a society to such an extent that even the pious are not spared.

A sound heart produces sound thoughts, which in turn lead to righteous actions. A corrupt heart affects them both. Do not neglect your heart; focus on purifying it.

Alḥamdulillāh (all praise be to Allāh), I received my ijāzah (a formal certificate of authorisation from a teacher to transmit) in Adhān (the call to prayer), connecting me through an authentic, unbroken chain of transmission (sanad) to the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ's mu'adhdhin and the first mu'adhdhin of Islam, Bilāl ibn Rabāḥ رضي الله عنه. What an incredible honour!
