I’m going to be blunt with myself, this is my numbers for last week, I have a lot of work ahead of me. Can’t let others put me down. My weekends are what get me…. Stress and other issues. I do bate with a lot of self doubts, people can say “You got this” but in the end, I have to take the step for myself, no one else. I’m going to run a couple weeks like this, then set numbers to beat. I have 5 goals I will@ announce when I’m ready. In a bit. I think I will go back and see my old weekly numbers and see from there. So the focus of 2020 was covid, nothing else. Although I will never deny that it is real and that it was a serious virus. As the focus went on I will admit in the beginning I was nervous and worried for my health and Ginny, along with several others. Unlike others I was not allowed to go on unemployment, because I was wanted as a employee. So pretty much switching course and going on the road a few days a week hauling van, then hauling oil or even gas in a tanker. I bounced around like crazy. The mental part took me hard because my first runs where of course in New England, New York and such, areas hit hard by the virus. Ginny and others worried for me too since I was all over the place. The focus was on the virus not our mental health. I was looking back and in April of 2020 I was 35lbs lighter, I still had dark hair. Today I am gray as a ghost and stuck in my 270’s.. my numbers have gone up on nearly everything and that worries me. It’s a hard mental battle, I’m not depressed, but I am however a stress eater, the quick unhealthy food is the go getter right now. As the covid went on it became clear as the governments where not worried about heath, but other things, and mental health was the last. I am so going to focus on restarting my goals, restarting my train of thought and get back on gear. I am supposed to get my treadmill fixed Monday. So that is a plus. Never the less. One of the worst things that has come from my weight loss has been my stomach/gastro issues, last year I had 12 testes that showed some issues. Unfortunately the doctors have no direst idea of what is causing this, I’m on a couple different medications for this, sometimes they help, sometimes they don’t, it’s a hit and miss. When my belly expands like this there is a extremely amount of pain and discomfort. They diagnosed me as IBS-c I show a few sings of internal issues. Over the last few months between this, the pandemic and other factors my weight has been up from 255 lbs/115kgs last year at this time to 270lbs/122kgs. The hardest part is the mental stress and the childish issues of social media, news our government and even those who are drinking the fear mongering of both sides. Yesterday as again I think was to be expected. I don’t agree what so ever with destruction of property what so ever. I also believe the right to PEACEFULLY protest, it’s a right a lot of countries don’t actually have. Unfortunately yesterday’s events was absolutely wrong and to be honest I believe the government actually let this happen. For over a week information came in from of potentially violently and destructive “protests” the FBI, Secret Service and Virginia State Police along with Homeland Security put out numerous warnings of this. Businesses closed, non essential places including restaurants and stores where closed if their own will. People know large crowds where going to gather and considering all the separation the last Several years (Trump didn’t do this alone he just kept it up with his attitude) this was to be expected. Maybe some where implants of people starting the destruction and behaviors, maybe it was actual supporters. The fact is that the capitol building was NOT on high security is something that should have been. A “pro-rally” permit was issued for up to 30,000 people and was believed (depending on who you talk to) be well over that. Any other time they would have everything on lock and permit only necessary business inside. The doors multiple entrances where left unlocked, they had a 20% reduction in Capital police that day. A very controversy vote/ ceremony was happening and not to mention Trump threw EVERYONE in “his” party under the bus included the VP whom he selected. Honestly I never liked his attitude and his mouth, however knowing a lot of people from New York City that is the general way of life over there. Sad to say he lost, nothing we can do and it’s not the end of the world, it’s not the “end of democracy“ after all how many years have we survived good and bad leadership. If you want change in government then you need to get away from a “controlling” party, there should be no reason that someone should be in office for 20-60 years... no reason, it’s not a job it’s a service! This is a true statement for so many, our lives are filled with stress, some are self inflicted, some is given by others. Our lives are meant to be a blessing to others, not a painful existence. It’s hard to change a mindset when others around you know they control you. The scariest this is for someone to move on and leave that pain. The unknowns are more overwhelming then the current stress and pain, to let go of what holds you back is like taking a 1 to brick off your head, but the fear of fear holds you back.
