Just a NY Girl

Lea fell asleep as soon as she turned around, but woke up the next morning with Chord spooning her. She felt his breathing even on her neck so she took a moment to enjoy just be in his arms before carefully get out of bed and went to the bathroom. As the baby grew it pressed more on her bladder making her go to the bathroom more often.

Her eyes slowly closed as she relaxed her body into his arms. She slept peacefully in his arms until about half way through the night when she moved into a different position because her back was hurting. So she turned around, her back to him knowing Chord would soon spoon her. Their bodies were just in tune with each other. 

Lea still blushed and smiled at all the nice things he was saying about her, “Oh stop, you’re making me blush. You’re only telling me this because you love me”. She turned to look at him and gave him a kiss. pulling back she yawned, “I think the day is finally catching up. I can hardly keep my eyes open”. 

Lea got comfy into the bed while she watched him adjust the temperature, “Of course, I thought you know I’m a genius”, she told him with a big smile and laughing that infectious laugh of hers. When he got back to bed she returned to her comfortable position on his chest, draping her arm around his torso. She looked up at him and nodded, “I know, me too. It will be nice to be able to go out and buy maternity clothes that showcase my belly instead of having to buy big clothes to hid it”. 

Lea moves to cuddles him, resting her head on his chest and smiling. Feeling his arms around her made her instantly relax and feel comfortable. She looked up at him and thinks about it, “Maybe just a little bit colder, that way we can sleep cuddle up without getting clammy and warm in the middle of the night”. She pecked his lips and pulled back to let him get up to set the thermostat. 

Lea nodded and placed her hand on top of his, interlacing their fingers together over her rounded bump. “That’s true our baby will be surrounded by love”. She was glad to be back in the hotel so they could rest. As soon as they entered the room she went straight to change and wash to get ready for bed, the heat was still high so she would sleep in just tank top and panties. She had just stepped out of the bathroom when Chord offered cuddles, “I always want to cuddle”, she said as she climbed into bed with him. 

Lea sighed satisfied, “I think I’m okay with it. It feels kind of liberating that is out there. Now I don’t have to hide it, outside of work at least”, she rubbed her belly gently. “I’m proud of our relationship, I’m proud to be your girlfriend and that you are the father of my child. And of course I’m proud of our baby. so yes, I’m okay with it being out. And we got to control it in a way. I mean, yeah we will have to make an official statement now, but we got to keep it very privately until after the first trimester like we wanted, and it was me who decided to dress like this and showed case my belly so I got to decide when it got out”. 

Lea squeezed Chord’s hand back and got into the car with his help. She buckled up and waited for him to get in. She felt her cellphone vibrating and saw a whatsapp text from Becca telling her ‘The bump is out. Check Twitter’. So Lea opened her Twitter and looked through her tag and sure enough there were a couple of pictures of her, profile pictures, while they were leaving the restaurant with her baby bump clearly seeing. The pictures were being re-tweeted by hundreds. She sighed and looked at Chord, “Is out, they got pictures of me on profile”.

Lea stood up, holding Chord’s hand and walking out of the restaurant without any rush. They walked to their car enjoying the nice early night air, the heat had gone down after the sun set so now it was more bearable. She rubbed her belly softly, “It’s a nice night, but the heat of the day kinda exhausted me”. 

“Maybe we should look into that initiative of law in L.A. that will prohibit any photographer or paparazzi to take pictures of the kids”. She ate her salad in peace, happy to be having a nice meal out with chord in what will be their future home for a while. She let herself relax, if people saw her belly and knew she was pregnant then so be it. They loved each other and their baby and she was proud of her pregnancy, it wasn’t a deep secret. When they were done she looked at Chord, “Are you ready to go? I kind of want to get into a very cool pj and into bed to rest, and watch t.v.”. 

Lea sighed and played with Chord’s fingers, “Thank, Chord, I know I’m safe with you. Always have. And I know we can’t keep them from taking pictures of us but I don’t want them pushing us around just for a pic. And when the baby is born, I don’t want anyone of them near him or her”. 

Lea nodded as the waiter came over and she ordered the salad and Chord orders his other slices of pizza. Lea took the chance to look around the place and saw the girls that Chord had seen, they didn’t look like the intense type, in fact when Lea smiled at them in a nice way they smiled back and went back to their food. “I am kind of nervous about arriving at LAX, the fans as intense as can be don’t push you around, but papz do anything to get a shot and I don’t want them hitting the baby”. 

She beamed at him and leaned to kiss his cheek, “Thanks baby, you’re the best!”. Lea read over the tweets and looked up at Chord when he asked her, “Uhm, the tweets are already hinting about a baby bump. Still all just assumptions since apparently they have only see me while we’ve been seating here so they can’t tell for sure if it’s a baby bump or not”. 

Lea smiled at Chord, reaching her hand forward to grab his, intertwining their fingers, “I hope we can have out privacy here. I really want to have a good, safe environment for our baby”. She nodded at his suggestion, “I’ll order a Mediterranean salad, and maybe we can have a tiramisu for dessert?”. She ordered the salad and took the chance to check twitter again, this time she saw a few tweets talking about Lea may having a baby bump, nothing confirmed since they seemed to have only saw her while she was sitting. 

Rachel nodded, “I agree, I really would like to keep the location of this house private, like I wish I could had done with the one in LA. I mean I love my fans, but I don’t particularly like that they just drop at my gate any day. That’s why I was so upset when my address was posted all over the internet. But now our privacy and security is even more important for peanut”. She kept eating her pizza and looked at him, “I’m torn between another slice or a small salad”. 

Lea leaned closer when Chord did and when he told her about them being discovered she tried to discretely see the girls he was talking about, but turning around with her belly wasn’t exactly easy when you’re trying to make it seem as discrete as possible. So she instead took her phone and opened twitter going to search hers and Chord’s hashtag, there was a few tweets about them being in NOLA eating pizza but so far nothing about the baby bump. 

Lea smiled and nodded happily when he agreed on how good the pizza was, “We have our pizza place already which is great! I know what we’ll be having the day we move here”, she told him with a wink. She noticed him looking a bit odd, “What is it, honey?”.
