Chris had never thought he’d find happiness especially this late in life. It almost seemed like he was meant to be doomed and karma was getting him for things he had done over seas during his tours. When he had gotten to know Katherine over the course of her bringing goodies into the school then at the Friendsgiving it wasn’t difficult for him to start falling for her. He was forever grateful and thankful for her allowing him into her life. She had made such an astronomical difference in him. He was smiling and laughing more than he was before.
Sitting the last box down next to the others, he closed the door behind him and walked over to her wrapping his arms around her waist. Chris placed a kiss to her cheek, “I love you,” he murmured. Them moving in together was something that was bound to happen after just the couple of months they had been talking they started staying at each other’s homes.

When his arms wrapped around her she hummed happily, loving the feeling of being in his arms. But especially after all the hard work of getting everything moved over. Hearing those three words never failed to make her heart skip a beat. She could hear it forever and it would always warm his heart. “I love you too, so so much.” She said blissfully, one of her hands moving to rest on his cheek, her thumb brushing against his skin.
Not being able to help but take a moment to let her eyes wander over his features. Her own eyes easily getting lost in his. “I know we’ve been staying with each other for awhile but still...we’ll officially get to start and end every day together.” Just taking one more moment before leaning into meet his lips in a soft kiss, “It feels like a dream come true.” She mumbled after another moment, smiling into the kiss.
