god it's good to be alive!

i think in s2 the main issue i have is less tone (because thats way better this time) and how one piece is funny and they feel the need to make it serious (because thats also better) and the politics are still bad, but what annoyed me to the point i didnt want to watch anymore (which only happened mid-season. nice) is the ever increasing obviousness of the bias axis of how the characters get adapted is mainly how masculine they are, and the values at which what is deemed important about one piece is the what the "boys" cared about. very little emphasis on the emotional crux of everybody being worried about nami in drum kingdom, when that was a Whole Fucking Thing in the anime/manga.
