Nessa spoke quietly as she gently nudged Bob’s shoulder, hoping to wake him from his sleep. Once she noticed him moving and shifting around, she backed away from his bed, hoping her attempts had worked. Next to her were Ashy and Mussel Boi, who seemed anxious to see him awaken as well. After all, they all had a surprise for him. So, once Bob was awake, and after a good few minutes afterwards…

“Happy father’s day!” "!!!"

Nessa, Ashy and Mussel Boi all said (although Mussel Boi just squeaked it) together, excitedly showing him what they had made; it was some pancakes, decorated with whipped cream and berries and— holy cow that’s a lot of maple syrup. Although it was somewhat messily done.

“Here, hope ya like ‘em.” Ashy then said, holding out the plate of pancakes (as well as a fork and a knife). “W-We weren’t sure what you would like, so we put on everything we could think of...”

He didn't quite understand right away; after all, he did just wake up unexpectedly. He heard them say something, and present...

his vision was blurry, everything felt like it was spinning; he felt as though he might depart from his own body. hands coated in violent red as he stares down at the body of whatever unfortunate soul decided to cross his path when they have him by his chains...

the body.. it was mangled beyond recognition. the devil's claws had torn apart the helpless one's skin, taken eyes from sockets; taken arms and torn them from the body. twisting and tearing the innards which spilled from a huge and rather brutal incision done by his bare hands. some of their organs were haphazardly tossed aside, the beast's deed having been to destroy as much as possible.

he growled, sounding more like an angered bear than a man, dropping to his knees and feeling his body begin to shake. running bloodied hands through his hair, he squeezes his eyes shut; just ignore it, push it away, don't let them take over you.

.. it started as a soft sob, eyes wide and wildly looking around; like he didn't know where he was. his weeping slowly shifted into laughter, which in turn shifted to maniacal cackling as he pulled his hair and stared up at the forsaken starry sky. that damned, starry sky...
