Hey fellow makers! Wanted to share this freshly prepped pair of bookmatched Curly Mango slabs off the bench today.

Milled to 50x220x620mm each. The tiger-stripe curl is super dense across the face, and the natural contrast between the dark heartwood and bright sapwood creates such an awesome frame. Thinking these would make an insane drop top for a guitar or a luxury box lid.

How do you guys like to finish highly figured mango wood to really pop the chatoyancy without darkening the sapwood too much?
