Mooey Moo. We passed this herd of cows on another adventure hike to a lake hidden inside a mountain range. These fellas were grazing in the grassy fields and we just had to stop and give these super curious cows a pat. We continued through some swampy pastures and made our way up to a lake with waterfalls gushing with icy water from the snow melting off the peaks. Lucia caught a baby trout and we all made a fire and cooked our fresh catch. No matter which way you walk in these mountains, you come across raw beauty and almost untouched areas of pure nature. #dontvisitnorway (at Botnavatnet)

Blä last night with DJ Snapcat, Sandra, Lucy, Rikke and Dave De. Oslo is so cool, really good vibe and the weather now is as good as it gets. But ask Mike and last summer was the best. This town has everything. Fjords and beautiful water in the summer, and snow in the town throughout winter. You can literally ski down the hills only 20 minutes from the centre of town. The views from Grefsenkollen at the top of the town are breathtaking and you can see all the islands people live on and commute the ferry to work in Oslo. Today we're adventuring to an island with fishing rods and going to try catch dinner. #dontvisitnorway

Gleaming lights of the Souls. It is a space of about four by four meters. The walls and ceilings are covered with mirrors; the floor is a reflecting pool; and you stand in the middle of the water on a platform. Krka waterfalls, Croatia. Such a unique experience for me, can't say I've ever swam beneath waterfalls before. It was a nice day stop after leaving Split and Zadar, Packed with tourists, but the true beauty of these waterfalls made it worth all the while. Water was cold, temp outside was 36 degrees, and there were waterfalls upon waterfalls everywhere. This one was the best, the current from the water strong so we had to hold onto some ropes right near the waterfall, and some crazy local kids jumped the fence and dove off the highest waterfall. This brewhouse was the goods. Not only was the bar wench doing a really good job serving cold beers, but there were Peroni's I've never tasted or ever seen before on tap. 🍻 Peroni double malt🍻 And for a loooong time I thought Peroni's and Nastro Azzurro were the same (the later is brewed in Italy for Italian local market). However the taste of Nastro Azzurro is definitely better; brighter and a longer lasting flavour in the mouth (in and around). So cheap compared to Aus too at €3.5 for 660mL ($5.10 AUD). Stayed at Camping Roma for our time in Rome, closest place to park to the centre. I stayed here 8 years ago, so it brought back some memories from last time I travelled through Europe. I really got into the vibe of this ancient town and explored all the backstreets, Collosseum, Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain (which was completely empty undergoing some renovations.. In the middle of the European summer... Go figure). Was awesome to meet up with my half cousin Camila who I hadn't seen since 2000, who took us out for some pizza; true roman style pizza 🍕. I bought a moka pot (a stovetop espresso thingy) for the van too. Now that we are leaving Italy, it's going to be hard to find good coffee so a nice addition to the van. (at Camping Village Roma)

Funcar was so fun. Fiat 500's are maximum fun, and not quite the Mini Cooper Andrew thought he'd booked. Maybe lost in translation, the funcar was transport for the week and with 5 grown children hooning around the hills, it was sure to cop some serious scrapes, dirt tracks and "maximum temperature exceeda" warnings. A few times. Hammering the autostrada at 140km/h, this bad boy struggled to make it up a 45 degree incline, even in 1st gear. Tempe spat the dummy and announced she'd get out and walk up the hill, that she actually followed through with. We made our way to Poggio Di Soggio, but it was closed. Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona was next before we once again hit the steep hills to feast at Michelin Star restaurant il Silene (thanks Janice). Food was super tasty, the wine great and the ambience...Well, there was none. All-in-all, an excellent week wining and dining (thanks to Andrew) and good company. And now back to van life.

A little local favourite, Francesco sent us to Castiglione della Pescaia for an authentico Italiano dinner(o). I don't know if he meant because of the views or the food, but man-o-man it was both. Nestled up on the hills, we were the only non-Italians dining and the waitress turned out to have lived previously in Aus teaching English. She translated everything on ze menu and brought out some cracking home-made tagliatelle ragu and tortellini fungi, and wow home-made pasta in Italy is next level. Andy wouldn't pose for a sunset photo like this with his new fiancè Brit, Kat got hit on by the waitresses 50yr old brother and Andrew "over the top" Duncan ordered his usual selection of delicious Tuscan wines. Ah it's definitely too hot for anything but being in the water. 36 degrees and time for some spritzers (getting spritzzzzed) by the pool. Chef Ajit has been cooking up some incredible Italian dishes, freshly made pasta and home made tomato sauce. He's a Sri-Lankan dude who came to Italy 20 yrs ago and works for the Mazzei family whose villa were staying at. He reminds me of Emilio from Mr Deeds (very very sneaky sir) who appears everywhere, all the time. It's hot and doesn't start to cool down to at least 7pm, and almost every day fighter jets fly over at dusk, looks incredible with the pinky purple haze at sunset. "I want to use my new board". Of course she does, conditions are perfect 700m high on Lac de Longemer in the French mountains. A nice 4ft swell from the south, and light offshore winds. But in all seriousness, this is one of those places you just stand in awe. The lakes water clarity is unparalleled, the temperature cold but refreshing, Supboards, kayaks and pedalo (google it) everywhere. We camped here two nights and visited a frommagerie, which to be honest stank like shit but it was a real experience buying a wheel of Munster cheese from the guy who milks the cows himself. We cooked up some salami and chorizo, ate baguettes and gagged a bit eating the cheese which whilst tasty, brought back memoirs from the frommagerie. Belgium beers, chocolate and waffles. Where to start. We found a hidden little gem called "Le Trappiste" which served all the top Belgian beers... We tasted Le Chouffe, Le Trappiste, Duvel, La Triple Corne and World Beer of the Year in 2008 - Delerium Tremens. Not only are these next level delicious, they're 6-12% which dealt us some horrendous hangovers. Belgium, in particular Bruge, was a pleasure to revisit; the canals running every street, the beer and food, the cobble stone streets and whole medieval feel to the town. Oh and we did well finding our van after a long drinking sesh, every street looking identical to the last. And of course, Briee went on a hunt for some goodies at 4am and got lost for 2 hrs trying to make his way back. God bless him. We left Bruge on to Brussells however a stolen bike and a bus crash later, we decided to leave. Next stop, French mountain range. (at Bruge-Belgium)

London's better than I remember. It's a buzzing city, packed with all sorts of interesting people and definitely not the best place to drive your 6m long hi-top campervan through. But we made it and fuck me it was fun. Met up with Duggie and Briee who'd been drinking since breakfast (no, the timing in this photo wasn't unfortunate, that's just the state Briee was in) at Portside Parlour, a fancy bar in Shoreditch, opting for a £5 lager fermented with champagne yeast (ah-may-zing!). The few days we spent trawling the streets, we drank great coffee, spent hours in Hamleys (6 floors of toys with a ridiculously good milkshake bar at the top), missed every Sunday roast by 2 minutes, and drank pints between the drizzling rain and small bursts of sun rays. Luke Storrier joined us for a day as we ventured to Camden, a very funky cool town where we caught up with Mikie and Millie at the Hawley Arms and had at least 12 beers too many. Its time for a few days off the beers. Next stop - Belgium. Oh ohhh.

Stage 3 of campervan renovations - complete! Our guest Briee joined us in London as we partied in Camden & Shoreditch, then drove down to Dover the following day to catch the ferry over le border to Un Bagettes aka France. The ferries weren't running due to strikes in Calais, rebels burning tires and blocking off highways. Turns out we had to stay the night at camping park in Dover, overlooking the English Channel. We cooked up a delicious BBQ of pork/apple sausages, grilled vegetables-tables and drank red wine. This place was something special, I love how certain events prevented us from doing what we planned and led us to some beautiful places. (at Folkestone Harbour Camping)

Stage 1 of campervan renovations. All stripped back, and the painting begins. Going for an off-white to brighten up and make this new house on wheels feel like home (minus the 55" TV, the comfy, fish tank and balcony overlooking the heads). Can't wait to see how it turns out. Licy said she wants to be a builder.
