the weapon for what? it MIGHT be a motive for soul because he has the trident, but why say “weapon and motive” when soul is never stated to attempt/succeed in murder?

this part is sung by soul. he refers to heart and mind in a way similar to “the sides” throughout the album (see: “these parasites”, “these deviants”, “the halves”, “the other two”) so why would he suddenly be included in something he sees as the other?
