Bubbles, champagne & giggles
It was rather amusing that out of the two and with Billie being the oldest, she had the tendency to act more youthful and carefree. They have spent most of their childhood spending time together, being a family despite their mother being nowhere to be found, and yet, their upbringing turned out to be quite contrasting. Minry would blame the fate of her father, but in reality it was the reckless decisions from the youngest demigoddess that led to the unstable life she had so far. Hopefully, their re-encounter in Mount Phoenix would reveal to be fruitful and snatch Minry out of her bad, old habits. Even if the place was filled with people from her past.
Billie's enthusiasm never ceased to bring a wide smile to Minry and she let them both settle in the large room, preparing their glasses of champagne and retrieving two cupcakes to hand one to Billie. "Well, where do I start…" Minry sat down by the edge of the hot tub, placing the drinks and food carefully before sliding inside. "Imagine I have a top 5 of people I would never want to see again. Those exact five people are also living in this island and I have met every single one of them." The topic brought some tension to Minry, but the hot water wrapping around her body made it easily go away. She exhaled audibly, letting all her apprehension go, but continued talking. "I'll leave the juiciest gossip for last so- remember that girl from China I became friends with? The one that was engaged to an asshole and I broke it up by sleeping with him? Well, she's here. I found Esther's while she was working and took the opportunity to say hi, of course she is rather pissy about it. But hey, I saved her from an unloving marriage!"
Minry was very nonchalant when describing the whole ordeal, showing her aloofness towards Esther's side of the story. It was a way to make herself believe her actions had been justified, even if it brought great sorrow to the people involved. "But, let's make this fair sis. I tell you one little mishap, but you need to tell me about your life in here too. And you can ask whatever, but let's not make this all about me okay?" She winked at Billie, also blowing a kiss towards the other.
The bathrobe was quickly discarded as Billie listened intently, downing the first glass of champagne before pouring another one. A gasp left her lips at the newly acquired information and she couldn't help but stare with wide eyes for a second. Everything about what her sister was saying was so juicy! "Seriously?" She whispered in disbelief, setting the treats down beside Minry's so she could feel the water's warm embrace. It'd been a while since she was able to really feel pampered, so the entire experience was much welcomed.
Neither Minry or her were innocent, gentle people, so Billie giggling at the thought of her sister approaching someone from her past like that wasn't surprising at all. "Minnie, you're incorregible." She shot Minry a playful look before blowing a kiss back. It was a surprise to hear so many people she knew were there, though, and the thought of just who she might run to had her curiosity peaked. "Not many people can say they're saved from asshole spouses." The slightly older one of the two chuckled, holding her glass of champagne against her lips before taking a quick sip. "Your life has been so interesting!" It was no secret that they both led entirely different lives, but their taste for trouble was the same as always. "Well, I don't know how much of anything I can tell you yet! I haven't run into many people, but... I ran into my ex, the musician." It had been the only relationship she cared about when it happened, so naturally, telling her sister about it was a must. "I never thought I'd see him again, but he's here and he has the cutest daughter!"
