Something that has been taking up a LOT of my free time since getting my new phone is I rediscovered otome games (and man are they better than they were 10 years ago) so I thought since I finally finished going through all the old cc I downloaded I'd try to make some simmies that had that sort of vibe like they could maybe be love interests in an otome game. There was gonna be 4 of them, but bodyshop crashed half way through making the 3rd and after making him a second time (I'm so proud of him though he's so hot) it's my bedtime now.

Would anyone like them?

Well remember how I mentioned I had downloaded 80GB worth of pre-2012 cc? 3 months of sorting later and here's where I ended up. It's not a 1:1 comparison because I'm sure a portion of that initial 80 was just due to things not being compressorized, but anyways... Game took 38 minutes to load the first time and 11 the second (I know the first load always takes longer) and as much as I would love to lower that I'm not willing to get rid of anything else at the moment. I'm just really excited to stop analyzing every piece of cc and actually play with all my new old goodies. My goal was 20 minutes...so I failed there, but meh. I'm sure I'll weed more stuff out over time.

I am getting my first new phone since 2015 next week (preordered because it wasn't even available yet) which means I will finally be able to reinstall the Tumblr app instead of having the mobile web version constantly taunting me being like "rather use the app??"

jumping forward 11 years in phone technology is going to be really exciting though, so much I haven't been able to do! Since it's been so long I'm keeping it a secret from the IRLs for the moment but it's a huge change (+ finally getting off my parents' plan too!) so I'm excited and wanted to tell somebody so that somebody is you.

anyways sorry for being so quiet. I'm here lurking but I just don't have anything to post yet - I still haven't finished sorting through all that old ts2 cc I downloaded. I'm down to about 15gb of the 80gb I started with left to look at.

I'm still not totally sure who the hell let me spend nearly a whole month doing nothing with my free time but downloading old ass sims 2 cc but I think I'm gonna call it here before I totally run out of steam. The only things left on my list I didn't get to were the non-set clothing section of tsr because it's just simply gigantic and the general cc (non-sharing area) section of simscave because the constant 503 errors there make it near impossible. Can save those for another time. I went through enough archives and websites already I think. Now to begin the process of unzipping my hoard and sorting through it to see what is actually worth keeping because I 100% guarantee if I was to just throw it all in my game as is that my laptop, despite being pretty freaking powerful, would burst into flames.
