Down a Dark Hall is a supernatural horror movie that is based on the 1974 novel "Down a Dark Hall" by Lois Duncan. 

The film follow the main character Kit Gordy, a "difficult" young girl. Kit is sent Blackwood Boarding School, a mysterious school for delinquent young girls that exhibit behavioral problems. When Kit arrives to Blackwood, she is greeted by headmistress Madame Duret and the schools only students, four teenage girls (Veronica, Ashley, Sierra, and Izzy). The girls become isolated as use of technology is restricted, the only time the girls can contact their families is under close supervision of the headmistress.

During their time at Blackwood, the girls attend various creative and intellectual classes that reveal hidden talents within them. Soon after the discovery of each of the girls talents, each of the girls are guided toward the classes and teachers that help them hone their talent. But each of them start to show a troubling obsession for their work causing them to lose sleep, refuse to eat, and go into unusual trances while creating or performing their talents. Kit and Izzy gradually begin to experience the same adverse side effects of their talent/work, revealing the it felt as if someone else was using their bodies.

Kit begins to notice several oddities in her and her fellow school mates work. She notes that all of Sierra's paintings are signed "TC" and scours Blackwood's library for answers. Kit discovered that Sierra is recreating the paintings of a long deceased artist Thomas Cole, and that the work of the other girls are too from that of dead geniuses. Madame Duret reveals the true purpose of the girls when she finds one of them in one of the restricted areas of the school. In the attempt to escape the remaining girls get help from the spirits of past pupils, enabling them to safely escape the haunting grasps of Blackwood Boarding School.

The Platform is a Spanish, dystopian, sci-fi movie with elements of horror sprinkled through out.

This film is set in a massive tower-like vertical holding facility. The tower is seemingly endless with well over 300 levels. Each level starts out with two prisoners, which are randomly reassigned to a new level every month. Each prisoner willing surrendered themselves into a concrete tower-like prison for their own personal reasons; for example a recent diagnosis of terminal cancer, to earn a college degree, to evade a manslaughter sentence, etc.

The prisoners are fed via a platform that moves through a massive opening located in the middle of each level. So, the prisoners above can see the prisoners directly below them through the opening, and vice versa. The Platform that feeds the prisoners is initially full of food at the top floors, but as it gradually descend through the tower levels it stops for a fixed amount of time to allow the residents to eat and nourish themselves. Although, this system inevitably leads to conflicts among the prisoners as the top levels are able to eat as much as they want, leaving the lower levels with less and less leftovers as the previous one. We see that this has an effect various prisoners over time as some start to become greedy, crazed, and even murderous when faced with the problem of depleting food resources.

This film follows Goreng, a man who first wakes in a concrete cell on level 48. Goreng learns from his cellmate, Trimagasi, that the platform delivers food once daily, stopping for only two minutes before descending to the next level. He learns that the prisoners are only allowed to eat while the platform is stopped at their level, any prisoners that keep any food are subjected to fatal temperatures. As the film progresses, we see that Goreng is driven mad due to starvation and hallucinations. As a result we see him carryout unspeakable acts including cannibalism and murder. Goreng even appoints himself as a sort of mediator as he rides the platform down the levels rationing the food.

If you loved X-files...you will most certainly love the TV show Fringe. It is a show with the most unique and out of the box scenarios that one could ever imagine. It is a 5 season series that will keep you on your toes and wanting more.

Fringe is almost a modern day X-files, although X-files bases its episodes and events on 2 FBI special agents that solve the unexplained and mind-bending cases based in the extraterrestrial. Fringe instead encompasses a primary Fringe Team composed of FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham, once-institutionalized scientist Dr. Walter Bishop, his jack-of-all-trades son, Peter, and FBI Junior Agent Astrid Farnsworth. The four of them work as a team using fringe science to investigate a series of unexplained and often ghastly occurrences that are related to a parallel universe.

This show primarily focuses on the intertwined lives of Special Agent Dunham, Dr. Walter Bishop, and Peter Bishop. As we watch the relationships of these three characters grow, we discover along with them that their history goes much farther back than they realize. During this time Special Agent Dunham comes to learn that she was subjected to an experimental drug trial as a child, along with a group of several other children. Soon after discovering that she was subject to such experiments, Agent Dunham discovers that the result of this trial implanted special abilities that had become dormant over the years. Dunham's special abilities are eventually activated after a series of stressful, mid-bending events.

Later in the show, the Fringe Team discover that all of their unexplained and ghastly fringe cases are related to a parallel universe. They uncover a silent war that has been ongoing between their universe and the parallel universe, a war that was first ignited when both Olivia and Peter were mere children. As the show progresses we see how the Fringe Team works to put an end to the war between the parallel universes and protect the collapse of the two worlds as they know in.

Smallville is a 10 season television series that was originally released on the CW network. It is also arguably the best Superman film/series to exist. Tom Welling gives a phenomenal portrayal of a young Clark Kent growing into both his powers and into the honorable, just man that is to become Superman.

You are first introduced to Clark Kent when he arrives to Planet Earth as a small toddler via an extraterrestrial space ship during a meteor shower in Smallville, Kansas. It is on that day of the meteor shower that he meets Martha and Johnathan Kent, his soon to be adoptive parents. Over the first 4 seasons of Smallville, we get to experience Clarks growing pains as not only a young man navigating the complex life of a teenager, but as he navigates his ever growing powers and the responsibilities that come with them. Clark is surrounded by an ever-loving and supportive community that help guide him through his journey - including his adoptive parents, his best friends (Chloe, Pete, Lana, and Lex), his ultimate love interest Lois Lane, as well as a disembodied voice of his biological father, Jor-El.

It is during Clarks formative years as a teenager that we are able to watch him grow into his powers and learn what it means to have such responsibilities. There are moments when he wishes that he were a normal human being, and moments when that wish is granted. Inevitably things always turn south and a villain arises. It is then when Clark is rendered powerless, realizing the importance and purpose that he and his abilities play in the lives of those that surround him. Clark also learns that he can't trust everyone. He finds that although some may have started out as good friends, their true intentions or tendencies are not what they originally seemed. Clark must navigate through the challenges of making friends and foes, determining who he can really trust with his deepest secrets.

In the last 6 seasons, we get to see Clark branch of into the real world, become more independent. We see him enter into the career of a journalist at the Daily Planet as a cover for his identity as Superman. He also joins a team of super powered/talented vigilante hero types that protect others. Ultimately, we get to see the Clark Kent grow into the Superman that we know and grew up with.
