Lukas is 20 | Pansexual and Demiromantic! | Uses He/him (CIS) | He likes Blue
He is a Swedish fellow - He moved to the United States when he was 17 to get away from school and issues with friends/people he knew.
He doesn't trust people too easily - He's cautious and can come off as rude and deadpan; accidentally but it can be purposeful to certain people.
He picked up his job at Mouseland for some easy money when he was 18 and has been sucked into working here for the last two years. He doesn't enjoy it much, but he doubts he'd be able to get another job.
He enjoys alternative and dark acidaemia like fashion; you'll usually find him wearing something like he's from the 30s to work, with the occasional spiked cuff and guyliner.
He enjoys sketching; or at least tries. You'll find a sketchpad in the film room in the theatre with rough figures from the few movies or his fellow workers.
He is constantly tried; which affects his mood a lot. Some days he's okay, others he's extremely rude and will snap at you.
Studied a lot of film in high school, which is why he picked up the theatre as his designated ride at Mouseland; a little movie nerd that hates the movies Mouseland shows since he's picked up on all the fun techniques and style from watching them so many times.
Could you possibly embroider something on one of my ties? They're boring
I'll repay you in... something
@mouseland-lukas
Hello Lukas.
I'd be thrilled to embroider them. ^_^ I'm flattered you're coming to me, you want something specific on them. Or I got free range?. No promises on no lace.
The break room was silent, all the employees on their phones or simply just staring off into space without a care in the world. No one made a peep, except for the parks mascot who was doing TikTok’s by the kitchen sink.
Suddenly, without a proper warning, Matt burst in holding a pass that read “Dinner for 2” and a logo for [insert your favorite restaurant]. “Great news! My boss said that for this months employee of the month, I get to take one of you out for dinner!” (PURELY PLATONICALLY!!)
Jett quirks a brow at the sudden exclamation from Matt, quick to nearly pop in his other earbud and ignore him... but the prospect of the dinner was very enticing. Jett ate like shit and he had the build to prove it, so actual food and not just whatever he bought at the 7/11 while stoned or raided out of Inali's pantry sounded pretty damn good. Plus, given his history, he thinks he's pretty damn deserving of it. Fuck those other bitches.
His legs swing from over the table, boots making heavy contact with the floor as he snakes his way over to Matt's side, wrapping an arm around the man's shoulder. The scent of burnt herb and chemical fog machine fluid was nothing but evident. "Heyyy, Matt. My guyyy." He drawls, grinning lazily but pointed with intent. "You remember how I'm like... Basically a non-paid mechanic slash repairman that you send to fix all the rides when they malfunction because we can't afford a real repair team? And probably alsssooo the time I showed you how to fix your bummy engine? Remember that? Just thought I'd mention. The good times really do fly..." He hums, sparing the pointed look. "And, y'know, people like us are just so... uh... underrepresented. Unappreciated. You are by far my best manager ever. Never had a reason to complain! Unlike some..." He chirps, accusation evident. He leaves out the fact that Matt is his only ever manager. It's not that relevant at the moment.
Avery can't help but roll her eyes at the tone of Jett's words and the way he eyes the other employees in the room. She knows any argument or disagreement will likely light an unpleasant spark in him, but she doesn't really care at this point. It's not anything she isn't used to anyways.
"Thank you so much for your efforts and hardwork, Jett," she says, surprisingly not at all sarcastically (despite her tone), because she knows he really is of great help in maintaining many rides of the park. "But don't go taking all the credit, will you...? Don't forget that my beloved Castle is all my work. No other soul involved."
Closing her eyes and raising a finger one after another, she begins to enumerate some of the key, unforgettable features of the Castle that couldn't originally be found there before. "The lights, sound effects, pretty colors, magically opening curtains and doors... From just a plain old house solely called a 'castle'..." she shoots a very brief, judgeful look at Matt, who turns away in slight embarrassment. "...Me and my—yes, my—programming, tech, as well as acting and speaking skills, were the ones that actually turned the Castle into a place the public can be truly fascinated by. All for free too, by the way! You're welcome~" Avery, still seated in her chair, bows her head down slightly with a forced smile.
"...Well, of course. Not to strip you of your freedom of choice, or say that nobody else is worthy of the title or anything. But I'm just saying, I wouldn't think I'm tooo far down in the list of candidates for 'Employee of the Month'... Y'know what I mean~?" Avery's eyes avert back to her phone, where they originally were. "...Plusss, a free dinner doooes sound pretty nice... Can't say I've been eating all that well recently either......" she mumbles under her breath, seemingly a thought intended only for herself.
Inali isn't even shocked by the sheer audacity coming off of jett in droves, which coming from the guy raiding his pantry bi-weekly. But also from him and Avery, both sitting pretty comfortable in something like (sometimes partial)AC during this California may.
So with something of a farmers tan on her left arm they raised their brows a little, clearing his throat to make herself known. "It's certainly great you both manage your jobs so well. You're both well skilled." Thats when their eyes fix on Matt.. Awfully familiar shirt. Inali swore it was one he'd mended. Actually. So are Jetts pants.
When had Inali started doing repairs on everyone's stuff..?? But. The dinner, it'd be. Nice, a good excuse to wear something nice. Eat good food without feeling his wallet pang in regret.
And some of it is pettiness because jett threw him under the bus, and both him and Avery are bragging about the same things inali does for her respective ride. So why not Toss their hat into the ring?. "Matt. I've done four different sets of paint repairs, and full Carrousel clean ups this week. In this weather. And have been repairing, you're and. just about everyone's clothes." lace additions withstanding "if this is about doing things outside our job description. It'll be a tight race. Jett did teach me some small technical repairs too so. Credit and so on." He adds, before settling leaned against the wall, the decision was up to matt in the end after all.
Lukas was silent through everyone's "convincing." He stared down at the sketchbook in his lap, poorly drawn figures of the others scribbled in. He wanted that dinner but knew he didn't have the shot the others did. He could try convincing Matt, but he wasn't too fond of Lukas over the others. Maybe he should be nicer.
"I mean," He began, looking up from his lap, "I don't think I have the reasons you do, but I've been eating a lot of cup-o noodles lately..." He glanced around at the others. Their faces were quite blank, or just dismissive. He was not going to win this. "I do get AC... And an easy job... But it's really boring compared to your guys." He tried.
Their faces didn't change, and they turned their attention back to Matt. Hm. He thought Inali should get the dinner. Or Jett. Jett was rude, kind of arrogant. Then again, so was Lukas. Inali was nice, and he had good sewing skills. Avery was also nice, but she seemed like she had it easier than the others.
"You should invite all of us." Lukas commented, before turning his attention back to his sketchbook.
HAI EVERYONE, I'm literally so sorry this is late, my memory with this is so freaking bad😭😭 Hopefully for the next episode I can actually get it on time :')
Uhm, I don't know what I'm doing with Lukas here. I guess he just wants that dinner but knows he doesn't have that shot. (Also new HC that he draws IG lol).
Matt drags himself into the break room, looking exhausted. His hair is a mess, there’s a bunch of paint all over his face, and he currently has a bite mark on his arm. Overall, he looks like a mess.
“You guys will not believe the day I had. First I got attacked by seagulls while eating fries, then some girl spilled paint all over me, and some dog bit me! What is going on?!”
He barely noticed the figurative lightbulbs clicking over all his employees heads.
"Oh, uh. Hey matt." Lukas greeted. They looked suspicious, like they were plotting something. All of the employees were sitting around the break room table, hunched over talking before matt walked in. They stared at him, trying to seem less awkward.
"What uhm. How did that happen?" Lukas asked. He awkwardly smiled at matt, that was weird. Lukas didnt smile at matt.. at all.
Jett narrows his eyes, quirking a brow at Matt's comments. He held an ice pack to the side of his head, sleeves tattered with jagged tears along the fabric.
"The day you had, Matt?" He perks up, looking himself like he'd wrangled a wild bull and lost. Well, bulldog, to be specific. "And it just didn't occur to you that you should, I don't know, tell someone about the wild dog on the fuckin' loose? That little... thing ran through my queue and I had to wrestle that mutt to the floor! It pissed in my line! On my tracks! I do the repairs and cleaning on that y'know!?" He snaps, head throbbing from his own noise level.
"And how would a little girl even get access to our paint? Like the paint cans we keep locked in the storage rooms in the theatre?" He questions, tone flat. "You know. The ones that are meant to be locked. So there's no access to things like, for example, our paint cans." He adjusts his grip on the ice. "And maybe, I don't know, a paint spill would also cause kids to step in the spill and then— can you guess where they go? On our rides, yes." He huffs, settling back into his chair.
Ooc - Jett in a bad fuckin mood lmaoo, i assumed the episode plot was like... trying to tie matts blunders back to the employees so i gave room for that,,, yah :3
Inali, after bracing for Jetts.. quite reasonable outburst, Cranes their neck up the small bit it takes to have his head peak out from above the others from her side of the table. For someone so deadpan it almost looked like their cheek was twitching. "Jetts right. Real interestin' shade of paint . Huh Matthew." Inali's usual flatness reads more openly like he's.. perturbed?. "Real bad day,"
Raising a brow and reaching to adjust the ice in Jetts hand the smearing flecks of paint of those same hues on Matt are spattered across Inali along with a pretty hefty set of little shoe shaped bruises to their arm and jaw. "Cause. There was little girl just. Utterly covered in paint, just. All over the carousel today. Got it on a lot of the seats. The other kids too. Had Real fun having to ask them to leave." Which is to say said kid kicked him. "Far as I was aware we don't have keys to the paint closet. You do."
Avery, sitting back in her chair with her shoes up the table (it's a habit she picked up from Jett. not the best one, but it's harmless), significantly less affected compared to the others, but still visibly annoyed. "Real monsters, huh? The bulldog and the girl in paint..." she says as she eyes Jett, still glaring at Matt while seemingly holding back a wince of pain.
Suddenly, Avery reaches for her baton resting against the table, and starts waving it up in the air as she laughs. "Haha! Well, fortunately for me, I got off completely unharmed! The magic of the Castle walls protected me from those evil spirits, as they always have! Isn't it great~?"
...An awkward silence in the breakroom. Avery can feel everyone's gazes, some even angry, piercing through her soul. She immediately takes back her words, clearing her throat, and clarifies, now more deadpan, "The gates."
"I locked the Castle gates temporarily when Inali said the kid reached the Carousel, since, well, it isn't too far off."
"I diiiiidddd see some people standing outside the Castle, wondering why it was closed. Some were unhappy, but hey, I'd rather spare myself the trouble of cleaning up a possible mess if the cause were able to get in in the first place. Plus, other visitors'd be bothered too!"
"But I think we've all thought of a certain conclusion here, haven't we?" Avery eyes each of the employees, like she's seeking some silent approval. Then, baton still in hand, she points it to Matt. "None of this would've gotten so far if not for your irresponsibility and incon—.. in— uh..." she awkwardly tries to remember the word. "...inconsideration, Matt."
Matt lets out an awkward laugh, looking at Avery like she's insane. "Me?? How on earth is it my fault?"
"Matt, my guy. You're supposed to be Mouseland's manager. But considering alllll this shenanigans happened to you inside the park and you didn't even think to do anything about it—not even about the little girl—and you just let them get off loose and reach your park's rides? Several of them, might I add? Surely you get what I mean by now. I mean..."
Avery lowers her baton, the sound of it clacking against the floor echoing across the room. She takes out her phone, no longer paying any mind to anyone else in the room, as she mutters under her breath, "Your boss wouldn't be too happy about this, now, would he~?"
im really sorry for joining this episode late !! i didnt really get what to do when it first was released, and i had an odd lot of places to go this week ... but i hope this is alright :') i'll try to be more active from now !!!

"What uhm. How did that happen?" Lukas asked. He awkwardly smiled at matt, that was weird. Lukas didnt smile at matt.. at all.
Avery shrinks momentarily at the sudden interruption of Matt's voice, only to afterwards huff as she lightly slams her locker door. "Fine! Let us switch then!" she begins. "Not to be disrespectful or anything, promise, but I just don't get how your places are any more chaotic than mine. I mean—"
She first points to Jett, then to Eli, her hand's focus alternating between the two. "Okay, I guess I sort of understand you guys. Your rides are big, require a lot of tech and management stuff, and break down sometimes—" A very brief look of judgement at Matt. "But that doesn't even sound that bad! Hell, Jett's even said he likes it when his ride breaks down because then he can avoid actually working!" Avery's hands keep waving in the air, her voice heightening throughout her complaints. "The worst you guys probably deal with is shitty customers, and, be so for real. All of us get that. The entire park gets that!" Another look of judgement towards Matt before she turns to Inali.
"I'd say yours isn't all that different either. It just sounds less complicated than Eli and Jett's, but similar mechanics."
Then to Lukas, who doesn't respond with words either, but instead a sneer and eyebrow roll. "Don't even get me started on you! What on earth do you even do at your job besides press like, two buttons and sit down to watch the same three movies over and over again with the customers? PLUS, with the AC!"
Avery flops down on one of the chairs, yanking off her Mouseland headband, the ears that are barely staying on being covered by ribbons and accessories from Inali, strands of her pigtailed hair getting stuck with it. "The Castle requires social interaction, knowledge about the place's layout and story, management of customers, especially kids, who might go wandering and ruining the entire place— only for people to barely care at all about anything besides the pictures and not respecting anyone at all!"
She pinches the bridge of her nose, sighing. Then turns back to the others in the room. "Well?"
ooc: don't got much to say for now, but i hope this (+ the colors i use for each character) r alright !! i'm busy this week, but i'll try to take part in this episode. cant go missing out on the beginning of the lore !! 😸😸😸 kay gnight people
"Okay, maybe my job is easy! But that doesn't mean its not boring?!" Lukas throws his hands in the air. "Also, you have to deal with customers who dont know a thing and think theyre better than everyone else!"
He turns to eli and jett, "at least your rides are interesting! Shitty, but interesting.."
He stood up, "at least your job is visually appealing" he pointed at Avery. "All the pretty colours and design"
He turned towards the break room door, "Im leaving. This is a stupid debate. I have bad movies to show people who have massive egos."
Jett scoffs from where he's slouched in his seat, beat up shoes on the old metal table. His legs ached dully from the constant pacing that came from working the Manor.
"Oh quit your bitchin'." He groans, rubbing at his eyes. His head usually pounded with a headache when he left the Manor, the dull lighting making any kind of light seem ten times brighter. "I have hands down the hardest ride, no competition." He starts, gesturing along with his words. "Dim lights, practically roller-coaster level operation! Then all the whinin' and cryin' from these little kids and complaints from parents who didn't think it'd actually be scary? Put me out of my miseryyy..." He groans dramatically.
He brushes some hair from his eyes, then regretting the motion as it brings more light to his eyes. "Which, I guess not to say you guys don't have it rough. I'm definitely not well equipped to work with idiots and walk around some dainty Castle for hours on hours, I'll give ya that. And that big world ride... I definitely don't wanna work near water, the constant smoke machines are enough for me." He fidgets nervously at the recalling of some tragic employee deaths video he'd watched once while stoned. "And Inali... no hate to you man, but I'll die if I stay in the light anymore than I have to. Props to you though, that's a bitch of a job... besides mine."
His brow cocks at Lukas trying to flee, quick to get up and snag him by the collar. "Aaanndd where are you goin'?" He taunts, lips sharpening into a grin. "You heard the 'boss'," He uses the term sarcastically. "We get to trade, don't we? And I'm itchin' to try out the theatre." Honestly, he was more interested in the tech and tool storage. Spare parts and whatnot he was yearning to play with. Not to mention just the general setup of the booth. "So I'm callin' dibs."
Lukas stops in his tracks and scoffs, "ha! You can take the shitty theatre allllll you'd like, Jett." He smiles sourly at him. "I promise it isn't as good as you idiots think it is, have fun sitting watching the same slop all day."
He places his hands on his hips, "I want to take the castle then, it sounds fun. At least then I can mess around with the kids.. the parents at the theatre are far too ingrossed in themselves to notice aswell." He turns to @averythemouse, "what do you say, ave?" He smiles and holds out his hand. "I take the castle and you take.... whatever."
"Hm. We're really doing this, huh?" Avery eyes Eli and Inali, the only two whose rides haven't been taken yet. She contemplates for a few moments before deciding, "In that case... I'll take Inali's Carousel. AC's in my old schools were shit and we were outside a lot. I can handle the heat. Just teach me how to operate that thing, and I'll be good to go."
She turns to the two again, an eyebrow raising. "Only two rides left are Eli's and Jett's, so... looks like it's all settled!" With a clap, she begins her summary, pointing to each member at the mention of their names. "Jett's taking the cinema, Lukas's taking the Castle, I'll be at the Carousel, Inali at the Big World, and Eli at the Manor."
Finally, she turns to Matt, who, the entire time, has had his head in his hands, sighing at the chaos in front of him. "Well, boss? The plan sound good?" she asks with a teasing smile.
"Ah. As long as you're sure Avery. Please bring extra water, I'll show you how to run it. You need to check every single Seat Belt." Inali leaned down a bit, brows furrowed a bit. But not willing to push the good will towards him "Oh. Sunscreen too. Don't forget it,"
Blinking a few times, processing the full instructions Inali's mouth opens, closes, then opens again as his gaze finds Eli "You. Could you show me ropes?, Please. Since you're not doing much of a change in pace. In the manor and all." Looking to Matt, seemingly unaware of how threatening that may have come off as he raises a brow at position. "Your idea is panning out?." And Inali isn't going to turn down AC.
"Alright, cool!" Avery says with a smile as she thanks Inali. She does happen to have her own water and sunscreen, just as Inali said she needed, in her locker. She rises from her seat, approaching her locker to get her stuff. "You and Eli go deal with the Big World stuff. I'll wait in here 'til you're done, and you can show me the Carousel. Sound g—?"
Before Avery can finish her sentence, the employees hear a horrid, high-pitched shout. With eyes darting from corner to corner, and their moves suddenly becoming frantic, everyone panics. Avery and Jett seem to realize the sound came from one of the computers that shows the CCTV footage. The audio quality on it's never been the best, but simply the fact that they were all able to hear that sound so clearly is enough to spite concern.
Avery rushes to the computer, analyzing every screen in every area of the park for signs of chaos.
To her horror, she finds it.
"G-guys... the rides... the Carousel, the Manor....." Everyone's gaze turns to Avery, still frozen at the sight in front of her.
"...........They're operating on their own."
On the screen, a child that got on the Carousel, now starting on its own, faster, rougher, than any normal operation.
ooc: reading the episode summaries, i'm... not too sure if this was supposed to happen after the argument, but based on my understanding it's supposed to be during 🥲 soo hope this is alright !
also hope u guys dont mind the constant tags 💔for me this is mainly to ensure that posts are interacted with like, in chronological order iykwim :') so people can read it like an actual story
Lukas quickly moves from his position, much like the others to look att he cctv.
"G-guys... the rides... the carousel, the manor... theyre operating on their own." He hears avery mutter.
They all stare at the screens in horror, "What do we do??" Lukas asks, looking around at everyone. Crickets. They all look as confused and worried as he feels.
"W-we have to go to them.. come on!" Lukas calls, beckoning for the others to follow and he rushes from the door. He didnt seem like the one to rush about this lind of thing, his fellow employees must think hes gone crazy.
Guys can you tell idk what to write lmao🥹
This plot twist is very fun though, ooo the drama!
I mean—"

It was a warm, sunny day at the park. The air was nice and cool, and the sun was shining at just the right angle. All throughout, people walked around looking for rides or restaurants. Many were with family, others with friends or even alone.
One woman, was all alone. She was about 5 feet tall, with brunette hair tied back in a bun. Her shirt had a small giraffe on it it, and she was wearing shorts with paint marks. She looked a bit confused, as if she was lost.
Matt seemed to take notice, approaching the women with a friendly smile. “Hello! May I help you?” His grin was electrifying, shining a bit of joy in their immediate surroundings like a beam of light.
“Yes, I was wondering if you could help me figure my way out around here? I’m new.” Her voice quivered a bit, as if she was scared he’d bite. Instead, he nodded before picking up a radio.
“Guys, could you please show this lovely women a tour of the park?”
"Uhmm, yeah why not I guess.. here follow me" Lukas waved his hand in a motion that told her to come with him. "You like movies? Thats what I run, we dont have any good ones but youll be fine im sure. Oh, im Lukas by the way.. if you really need to know"
She nodded slowly, following behind him quietly. "Uhm, yeah I dont mind them.." Lukas walked through the crowd of people, forgetting to check if she was still behind him. She was fine on her own, he was sure.
As he walked towards the theatre he made sure to quickly point out any other ride or attractions that may be of importance. "Thats the haunted manner, workmate Jett runs that place. Its creepy enough.. thats the castle, Avery runs that, its aight"
She was still silent, nodding slowly as he explained everything, it sort of made sense. Lukas seemed a little.. whats the word? Distant? Blunt, deadpan? In his own world almost, trying to get the whole interaction over with quickly.
"Are you from here?" He asked, turning back to face her. She shook her head, "N-no uhm, staying for fun.. ive never been to cali before. Its okay" Lukas let out a small huff, "okays a bit strong. I prefer shithole." She smiled softly.
He stopped abruptly, and she nearly crashed into his back, "This is the mouseland theatre," he explained deadpan. "We have about... 3-ish options you can watch, all of them suck but im sure youll find one that you think is okay. Every does somehow." They walked inside to a small 50s style movie theatre, it was nice looking and polished. The walls were covered in nice looking moulding and posters for the movies lukas had explained.
"U-uhm, yeah okay." She stood beside him as he went through the tickets and explained the plots. They were pretty crappy sounding.. "That one," she pointed to the ticket with the name 'a mouses dream'
"Ookay then," lukas quickly handed her the ticket. He turned towards an entrance to what she assumed was the theatre she was meant to go into? "Theatre 4 over there, the movie will run in about... 5 minutes." She patted her back and quickly flashed a sarcastic smile.
"Okay.. thanks." She awkwardly smiled back at him and walked in.
Hey guys, i hope it did okay🥹
I tried to get across lukas' deadpan personality, and I just assumed she was a bit timid? Sorry if thats not the vibe you wanted😭
It may be a little bland, writing is not my biggest skill but I think im alr at it! I also kinda made it up on the spot since I wanted to do it on time lol

Lukas you spend your working days rotting in a theatre behind a screen playing a show that people probably care more about than even thinking about the fact that you exist. Kindly explain how, exactly, you get bitches (sorry Matt)
