Mountain Lab Administration

The Administrator was less than amused. 

But it still took as long as it did for him to respond. Why that is... the mercenaries aren't entitled to explanations. Though it's not impossible that the Administrator just doesn't care a whole lot. And that informing his superiors of this earned him more hot water than he cared to experience.

It's certainly not impossible that's the case.

Regardless the Administrator's S.W.A.T. team eventually flood through the area, having arrive by tank. They work to take out the fires left on the bases while spreading out in the woods to fin their targets. They've been informed that the targets are similar to the ones before; doppelgangers have invaded the base. Ugh. Wasn't this glitch worked out!? The whole system will need to be replaced at this rate!

Regardless the doppelgangers shouldn't look exactly the same. They're advised to use caution--to capture the clones and take them into custody. That way if they mistake somebody for the real deal... well they won't be shot on the fly. Because the last thing he wants is more trouble. 

Once things clear up the mercenaries can pick through their belongings--what's left of them--and be ushered off the base. The local hospital will have fun with all these new injured patients. And the cheapest hotel in town will certainly have business for a while. 

I'd like to announce that I'm quite pleased thus far with the battle tournaments. Although some of you could have definitely tried harder. But, with the participants now cut I no longer see any reason to continue suspending daily fighting. 

The subject has escaped the base; chewed through her tracking device and utilized stolen property to avoid the cameras. Although a few days have past between her escapade and now it's still most likely that she's lingering in the forests, considering her lack of legs or stabilization.

But, unfortunately for the hybrid, Marcus is a particularly thorough man. He understands that should she escape into the outside world it could cause an absolutely uproar. Worse it would trace back to him. And he hardly wishes to be known as the Administrator that revealed their secret world wide organization to the rest of the world. 

Still, he's now known as the Administrator that let one of the experiments loose. This is going to do nothing good for his reputation. At least he's managed to get a good number of SWAT officers on the case. The majority took to the woods with dogs and equipment. But a small handful went to local establishments in town. 

At one particularly dingy motel on the outskirts of town a Miss Helena Railby had reserved herself a room roughly three days ago. Apparently she hasn't been seen much sense then, although the rent has been paid for.

One of the aliases listed on her record. Too bad she couldn't be more creative. 

Too bad as well that the SWAT members, while not official mercenaries, are often trained to utilize similar equipment. One of them disguises as a maid that was spotted in the front office minutes before, while the other four stand by cloaked. All of which armed and ready should things become violent. Which, of course, they will.

Good evening mercenaries. 

It's been a while. I'm pleased to see you haven't destroyed another base since then. Fantastic job. Try to keep that behavior up, would you? I know the urge must be powerful. Uncivilized wretches that you are. 

Despite your maddening incompetence, I'm relieved to announce that our base has been selected to test out prototype technology and equipment. You will all play a very important role in the development of cutting edge force fields. Yes, I know you nerds all just creamed yourselves. You're going to be testing force fields. 

As the guinea pigs. 

But to make this experiment a little more entertaining for me and my wonderful lab rats, I have decided to forgo the traditional. Lab rats, yes. But don't get too excited. You're not getting a break.

Instead of simple tests, we will be holding a battle tournament at Mountain Lab. 

If it's not clear, you will be fighting one-on-one with other mercenaries, RED and BLU, until only one of you is standing. The force fields will be used to encase a small area around our capture points, and you will fight to the death in order to take it. You will not be able to leave this arena, but I do encourage you to try. 

Failure to comply with rules will mean trouble for all participants. Don't set to cross me again.

But because I'm feeling generous, and oh so merciful, I have no intentions of forcing anyone to fight. Participation in the tournament is completely optional. I want my rats to have fun.

If you haven't already wet yourselves, I have more. There is a grand prize for the winner, the last man standing... and the strongest fighter at our lovely retreat in the mountains. You will receive three weeks of additional vacation time and a 30% bonus to your pay for the following year. As well for every new weapon that is developed for your class through the duration of your contract you will be awarded a free copy. Not to mention a reason to be disgustingly arrogant. 

Ah, I forgot. In addition, you will be granted first access to any new weaponry.

Attention Mountain Lab. 

I would like to remind you all that despite tomorrow being Thanksgiving you are still required to work. 

Likewise you are all required to work the following day, regardless of how hungover you are from your private festivities. 

If any of you have laundry to be done I would advise that you wait until the machines have been given a thorough cleaning.

Miss Keisha Stormm has decided to use one of them as her personal vibrator this evening. 

*For a few seconds, she chokes, not literally, but mentally. She’s never had reason to come into his notice… and now.* Ah, dis, uh. Dere. I need fo’… Discuss a bargain a sorts, or. Temporary change a position.

-The Administrator leans back in his chair. He's actually well aware of who this is. He's begun to learn more about the mercenaries. And her accent is a dead give away. But he'll let her sweat a little. Or a lot-

-That's quite alright, Marcus is more than accustom to receiving calls like this. He answers swiftly- 

This is the Administrator. State your business. 

How wonderful that you're actually doing your job. Should I act impressed? -He snorts- Don't tempt me to install a camera in your bedroom.

Keep your eye out for any activity involving the respawn clones. There hasn't been a sighting, but, many of them escaped. Report any suspicious findings.

Thank you for attempting to be useful for once.

-That's good to consider. It's a fair point. But, ultimately Marcus has learned he needs to handle things more carefully. Until this actually becomes a significant problem he shouldn't enforce punishment. But, it definitely warrants a warning-

The reasoning behind my decisions are hardly your business. RED had an increase in Spies while BLU simultaneously had a decrease.

-That combined with an interest to see if a change in atmosphere would change Dimitri's performance and his own request to be autobalanced was enough to try it out-
