Compilation of Undyne being a sweetheart:

SHE LOVES SO MUCH AND SO HARD!! She still has the capacity for cruelty, obviously, the way she treats Frisk at the beginning is fucking awful, but that's why her arc is so good. She's deeply invested herself in the narrative of Good Monsters vs. Bad Humans and is constantly reinforcing it in her own head because as far as she knows if she lets Frisk go, her people WILL die. These are HER people, HER community, and she will do anything to protect them. She HAS to do this, and she HAS to have a reason to live with herself after it's done, so she works herself into a frenzy and ignores anything that contradicts her warped perspective. And then when she's forced to confront her prejudice, she changes. To the point that she breaks her way into the castle to help Frisk! She's fully ready to confront the man she views as a father figure for their sake! She spends the rest of the game after the hangout ready to give advice and directions! She throws spaghetti at the phone so you can taste the friendship!!
