Download whatever one you think your game can handle. You can have more than one in game at once but the thumbnails aren't distinct so I don't recommend it- it's the same hair just at different optimisation levels.
The one in the pictures is the highest poly version- lower poly means a little more janky looking, but the visual difference will be more obvious on high-end devices anyway- for my computer, 'MEGA high' and 'High' look almost the same in game - while there's a bigger difference obvious in blender.

Happy April Fools Day! I've been slowly prepping for a (fantasy) medieval Sims story, and something I've realised lately is just how much entertainment the castle lord and lady would have - fools, acrobats (same thing really, but I've separated them here because I figured there'd be need for a classic jester), minstrels, and players (actors) were often at work between banquet courses.
I liked the idea of this but didn't want to pose Sims every time, so I made myself a bunch of deco entertainers that I could just pop into the background of a scene. I'm sharing them because, as always, I figure that if I needed to make myself something... then maybe other people would need them too.
Including all swatches and the different pose options, that's 114 deco Sims lmao.
What you need to know:
these deco Sims are high poly (from 11,651 poly to 19,848 poly - specific details are on their cards) so please use sparingly or as much as your PC can handle!
You can find them in game by typing "April Fools" or their individual names
the two acrobats and jesters have the same 5 poses between them, but with some variation (plus 4 swatches to choose from)
I've included my two bards even though their lutes do not work with MXAO... I figure these are all background figures soooo whatever. Thank you 1000 times to SurelySims and Karaiarai for helping me to get them in game at all!

Poses are mine except for the standing bards, which are taken from EA guitar animations, and the players, which are by SurelySims (I immediately thought of those poses while making the decos and then couldn't think of anything else).

Anyway there's not much to say about this one. I was scrolling on Pinterest and now six hours later here I am. The textures aren't perfect but I did not want to remake all 83 of them so this is what you're getting! If you can see the one-pixel misalignment on some of them. No you can't.

I finally got round to adding more coat colour swatches to my Shrimpmas gift, Rosie and Jim the deco horses for @notsooldmadcatlady 's carriage. Now you can avoid that classic Hollywood problem of the same horse being used in every single scene! I'll leave the original Rosie and Jim up just in case anyone prefers a simple, single swatch (I guess it makes the file size slightly smaller too), but you cannot have both in your game (the original coat colour is included in the updated version).
They are designed to fit the carriage best if Jim goes on the left (if you're looking at him head on) and Rosie goes on the right.
Important: if you have any of the original Rosie and Jim files, please delete them from your Mods folder before adding these versions.
I've also made a few deco drivers. I still prefer NotSoOldMadCatLady's coachman but a few extras mean that if you have multiple carriages in a scene, your drivers can be different as well as your horses...
All decos are high poly so use sparingly, or as your computer can handle.

So I think it's pretty clear by this point that I waited the entire 12 years of this game for anything medieval to be ever half-released. Basically anything that could pass as medieval/renaissance fantasy gets a thumbs up from me. The thing is, I wanted this so I could play with my OCs, but I needed MORE color options, as gems are a very important part of my books. So here they are!
This is an Acc overlay. Place the desired crown on your sim's head, then move to the accessories tab and chose the overlay you want based on the crown your sim is wearing. Pick a color and adjust as you'd like!
